Only way I can see us stopping up is if we could play 15 players to their eleven and even that probably wouldn't work

Hardly honours even…….I’d swap league places for 2 Derby losses.
 
From what I've seen this lunchtime:
a. First half was awful.
b. Maxwell is not a Championship keeper.
c. McCarthy's tactics were understandable first half - no, I wouldn't have gone with them but they were understandable. The defence was not set up well enough to play those tactics.
d. Balls out of defence were poor first half.
e. 2nd half was much better
f. This was because Patino and Podeva came on and played positive balls forward. This encouraged...
g. Husband to play much better second half.
h. Patino and Poveda MUST be accommodated in the team from now until the end of the season.
I. Dougall has rather lost his way.
j. Hamilton and Anderson could be a lot better with a good defence behind them.
k. The fat lady is not singing yet, although she is dressed and made up to come on stage.

The fat lady isn’t bothering to sing, she knows it’s all over already.
 
Not much point in getting rid of Mick Mc now but Simon needs to sack Ben M TODAY as he has totally failed with signing Managers and getting the right players in, if Simon does not do that I dread to think what season ticket sales will be in League 2.
 
That ref was shite too, some clear fouls he just waved away,.

Poor atmosphere all round too. Expected in the away end given the result and performance but I thought it was pretty poor from them for lots of it considering the ease at which they were winning by 3 for most of it. The place was hardly rocking for the numbers there.

League 2?? We're only going down one division.
 
I thought we played well 2nd half, Patino very good, Poveda & Bowler tried everything they could, Rogers gave everything, don't think anybody wasn't decent 2nd half. Key is to play with the same attitude and confidence for the rest of the season. Somebody needs to tell the players to believe in themselves for ucks sake.

One of the most telling stats today was that Preston has had a conversion rate to chances at home this season of 9%, today it was 33%.
Their goalkeeper played well today and pushed Anderson's effort onto the post in the first half, he also made a couple of important saves later on. For me, the contest was over as soon as Bowler played the pass to their player and they broke and Connolly failed to tackle or block their player and he scored. Preston sat back as we did when we were 3 in front against QPR at home, and suddenly we got the ball and passed it around.
Like the Bristol goal, Maxwell was at fault, this time for not lining the wall up correctly from a cheap free kick from the hapless Connolly challenge. Connolly shouldn't be playing in midfield but McCarthy making him captain made him undroppable. In the second half, he should have kept Dougall on for me, as he was a lot calmer in possession in the first half, although as the third-highest scorer this season with 3 goals
he should be on the receiving end of corners rather than taking them. Dougall only needs to get one more goal to tie with Madine as the second-leading goalscorer in the team, considering that Madine has scored from the penalty spot, it tells you everything about where the real
problems in the team are, the opposition score more of their chances.

But this season's problems lie with Ben Mansford, the choice of managers with such conflicting styles, and poor recruitment but especially in the last window when 50% of the players have injury problems within a couple of weeks of signing, the signing of Bridcut. Must surely now make his position untenable if we get relegated.
 
Very surprised at how you lined up in the first half. Certainly didn't work for you. Bowler & Poveda from the get go in a more offensive formation could have hurt us. You had some decent chances in the 2nd half and if we hadn't got the third early doors, could have been a tad interesting....

We set up to try and contain the opposition week after week. The big guns come on when the game is lost. It

McCarthy is not instilling any confidence into the players , think I read a quote that he said was that the players are giving everything but whether we they have the quality!!!
Players need confidence & an arm round the shoulder , not some old fossil doubting their ability.
 
Have to say I was pleased when I saw Bowler was on the bench.
First half we completely dominated and the score line could have been bigger going into half time.
Your defence looked all over the place.
You were a lot better in the second half but we defended resolutely.
Thankfully we got the third early on which effectively killed the game off.
Was impressed with Rogers as well despite him missing that header and Poveda was a handful.

So 2 of the players you were worried about, started on the bench.

It’s ** incredible really that a non Blackpool fan can come on this forum, giving zero shits about us and tell us we started the wrong 11. Yet a professional manager being paid to make these decisions has got it wrong in almost every single game.

I no we should have had a penalty.
After our 3rd it was all over if it had been a boxing match it would have been stopped you don’t have any defensive midfielders.
You have to many attacking players but no defensive midfielders not one who can defend or put a tackle in .
Bowler is a liability.
We could do with the lad you brought on on the left.

How is Bowler a liability, you scored not from him losing the ball but because our defence is shit. It was a weak as piss goal too. Again Maxwell beaten by something a Championship keep should save.

Soundly beaten by a better team on the day. I doubt anything would have mattered squad wise but it was the unacceptable effort levels yesterday.

He lost the ball but made no attempt to win it back at least Hamilton tried to help his defence out .
I would have Hamilton every time a team player

There were just a few strange ones from the ref where he didn't give a foul and waved it on when. It was clearly a foul.

Didn't affect the outcome though, although the foul for thr 2md was soft, we were awful. Gave our fans absolutely nothing before we were too far behind.

We started with DM's but due to that and awful tactics we couldn't string 3 passes together and instead passed across thr back and launched it aimlessly.

Bowler did lose it a few times however the guy hasn't been played much and isn't in any sort if form.

Poveda is tricky and again everyone is confused why he doesn't start more.

Another game wasted and fans sent to basically be mocked by our rivals when they are beating us so easily.
