Policing on a Saturday - roads and that

The line that is usually given is that you cannot keep people in under advance planning as this infringes rights. You can however take that decision as a more spontaneous safety measure. Bet they do it. Just thought I would post that, but meantime I'm trying to work out how people will propel themselves from the Bloomfield Pub etc to the Ground and vice versa without a map, compass, hydration and a change of footwear. To bar our fans from our own main road to the ground seems beyond bizarre to me.

I get the need for it. It’s surely a Category C risk game?

But before kick off with them drinking in The Manchester and The Castle it’s still bound to kick off. Also at Blackpool North or Blackpool South, when they arrive, are they being kettled, otherwise if the roam free, then it’s a free for all isnt it.

Wonder if they will go Poulton before again. The Thatched and The Old town Hall open at 12 tomorrow rather than 11am as usual. So that’s 2 less pubs.

Seriously How do Merseyside police cope with 40,000/50,000 crowds at Liverpool v Everton games?
How do Greater Manchester Police cope with a 75,000 crowd at Old Trafford when playing Man City?
I’am pretty sure roads aren’t blocked off and no go areas enforced?
Armfield club being forced not to open till 11am when other surrounding pubs can open earlier.
A simple solution post game would be to simply keep the Nobbers in for 15 minutes after the final whistle then none of this nonsense would be needed, surely theirs some commanding officer with half a brain cell who can see this?
Completely OTT from Lancs Police they’ll be more old bill than Nobbers at the game I’am guessing.
No wonder fans are being put off from attending football matches.

Most

Most of last season week after week they did the same thing by letting the away supporters out of the south east gate into bloomfield Road, did they learn? Total cluster fuck week after week, so excuse me if I'm being sceptical, if some big silver back thinks he knows how to do it now, thank fuck, he's failed enough times

But thank you for communicating its a start...

Now Where's my bike that got nicked off squire's Gate retail park!
What exactly is a "Silver Commander" anyway. You'd think a Marvel superhero could come up with a better plan than the one that involves supporters being diverted down side streets at their own ground.

no past prejudices at all. You are going against the grain of popular opinion on here. Something you like to do with a regular frequency.

So how do you propose they get the away fans into the ground without blocking off a small section of BR?

‘Popular Opinion’

Stop being a dickhead …. I don’t need a bunch of morons who can’t read a basic map or cope with a minor diversion telling me what to think!!!

Stick with your groupthink mentality of your like, I prefer to form my opinions for myself, based on fact not fiction.

Is there still a gate at the southern end of Seymour Road that prevents you getting through to Maudland Road?

Edit : the police twitter video says the gate will be open.

I think the police have missed a simple solution. Why not keep the Blackpool fans in for fifteen minutes whilst we celebrate our victory together.Mean while PNE fans can sculk off home
