Poor attendance

Maybe as many as 1700?
Makes no sense though.

You can still go on the planner now and looks like about 9800 in the 3 stands.

Plus hospitality, even if it wasn't full, should have been at least 200. So did Cardiff only bring 1300....

Or is there something wrong with our planner or they way tickets are counted, weird.

It’s also August and people are away on holiday(admittedly maybe not as much as normal ) and Blackpool is still a town that has an important tourist based economy which means people are working.
I thought today’s crowd was pretty decent personally.

oh and the “Bardiff” fan watching from the hotel room In V Block was not Exactly the brightest of people, though our own village idiot in the next door block superseded him.😉
I dont really buy this.

Nearly or just over 16k for all our home games in 2010, including games in August, September & October when season workers are still at work. I'm aware why but did everyone suddenly stop working or stop going on holiday?

The pricing for the casual fan is wrong and sadly because people boycotted for a good while, some haven't been back.

It's harder to win fans back than to lose them.

Todays attendance surprised me a little. The pandemic has stopped people going for over a year so I thought we'd get 13k at least. I dont think we'll average that much more than today this season, barring the obvious games.

Think it's amazing attendance..... Who are we complain about the fickle fans or the the non fans that I'll jump on a band wagon or the proper fans that just haven't turned up🤔😂 or is it Simon having the temerity to charge us nearly a third of what the football costs.......... Thick as fuck.

I was in hosp in a friends new box today Boxes all sold out, had a really good day in there. At south west corner next to us the balconies are where players officials scouts etc appear to go.

Popped into see a pal on a table in Matthews for a beer afterwards was busy too must have been 200 plus in there.

Check prices at hosp in champ, Blackpool one of the cheapest, off to Bournemouth next week costing me £180 for a game so at £100 I’d say that’s better end of pricing in the league!

So how many roughly in all hospitality then as makes no sense to the attendance.

The planner shows about 9800 sold in the 3 sides, yet attendance was 11,393.

Only leaves 1593 for Cardiff and hospitality.

Cardiff surely brought more than 1300 or less if we had more in hospitality.

Something doesn't add up to what we're seeing as their site said they had sold 1700 ish.

Odd.

I thought the numbers were excellent

It's August just after lockdown people are committed elsewhere

Covid lots of job losses following furlough end money is tight to spend on luxuries

Very positive attendance imo

You think 11k is amazing?

30 quid for the casual fan on match day is too much. We're talking about Blackpool, a town riddled with poverty and low wages.

I've been out in town and Poulton tonight and everywhere is rammed. Clearly Covid hasn't stopped the luxury of drinking.

The attendance today is below what most expected. Maybe its time to realise that we've lost some fans due to the boycott and or the pandemic too?

There were loads of season tickets that wouldn’t work at the turnstiles so I’m presuming there would be more to add on to the attendance. My sons wouldn’t scan so they just let him in he was in P block. Another guys card wouldn’t work he was told he hadn’t paid for it( yet he had three season tickets) if it wasn’t paid for how did he get hold of it( just wondering)

All sorts of reasons why people stayed away, holidays probably being the main one, as well as season tickets not working, mine didn’t, nor did those around me.

However, we were told on here that all seats were sold in the north, but there were loads of empty seats and the south was even worse.

This board will be in meltdown on Tuesday when the gate is around 9000

It's a bit disappointing considering it was first game back at this level, at home, decent opposition who brought down a good following. I thought we'd potentially sold around 8500 season tickets, so with 500-700 in hospitality and 1500-1700 Cardiff fans that's not many pay on the day-ers.

On the plus-side we're trying to build our fanbase back after close to a decade of turmoil, can't expect it to immediately revert to 2010-14 levels, which if I recall were massively swelled by the post-prem boost and the cheap 3-year season ticket deal.

Think more flexible ticketing options between season ticket and $30 pay on the day are needed, like the idea of a 10-game flexi ticket at a slightly reduced rate.

Season ticket sales are included in the announced attendance whether the holder turns up or not.

Saw him having that conversation back in the ticket office. Card not working apparently. Was going to be issued with another.

If this is the case then may explain the discrepancies in numbers of sold vs the planner etc but surely the club would work that out and put the figure with the season ticket holders as attended?

If were going to be announcing lower figures due to issues it only leads to criticism of not being able to count and is a poor do of we cant give an accurate figure.

We get what we get. At 6pm ish there were a load of young lads wetting their pants because the Scousers had apparently scored against Norwich. Way too many plastics in this town sucking on the diseased teat of the premier league. Lets just enjoy what we have for what it is and not worry about who isn't prepared to sign up for real football.
This happens everywhere.
I am sure that living on the Wirral you will see very few wearing Tranmere tops.
Liverpool and Everton yes.

I notice lots of empty seats at Premiership games yesterday.
Not looked at Championship or lower for comparisons.

£30 is way too much for walk ins and there is no 18-24 discount which would attract our target demographic. Surely 18-24 year olds are an area we really should be aiming at getting in the ground as they will spend in the bars aswell...better with 15k at £22 than 11k at £30 as although its the same gate revenue you have extra business in the bars and a better all round experience which will bring people back...not many that paid £30 yesterday will be up for paying it again if we keep losing

Embarrassing to watch wasn’t it !! Then the same idiot thought he’d try wind up the thousand or so Cardiff fans before walking out next to them by the hotel… thankfully a steward grabbed him and his simple mate and had a word and bend them up or else the Cardiff fans would have got to him outside.

Two words 'thirty quid' £28 + £2 booking thingy. That's double what season ticket holders are paying per match (£15.21).
I didn't get a season ticket because work sometimes makes getting to the game a bit tricky, but if I had known what the price of a match day ticket was going to be i probably would have done.
25 across the board and none of this category nonsense would have been better, and maybe the season tickets were too cheap, 17.50 per match on a season ticket would be a decent discount.

Let's be honest what the board were thinking here with high matchday sales i just don't know.

Just to lighten the mood, my Royals supporting buddy supplied me with this photo of the Nobbers visiting support! 😂😂😂😂
Tbf looked a few more on the pic on the last pic on here, must have been pre game maybe.

Still not a lot and out in force according to the lep lol.

Going off those figures there were only 493 pay on the day fans.

I totally agree.

Sometimes less is more.

Very few walk up sales and the corporate sections only half full

No wonder given the prices of both

The club needs to do something asap as less than 10k home fans is shocking
Jesus.......How do you get up in the mornings......We know you have to have your little grudges against someone over the years.
Holloway, SIA then BST, Blackpool management....yada, yada, yada.......

You're just a broken record...we get it....They wouldn't give you an under 12's season ticket......Be the bigger man....grow up!!!

I certainly didn't have any sort of grudge against SISA. I partook in several SISA ran projects

I get up fine thanks i just don't except second best

I've a season ticket, match day prices don't affect me but I'd welcome the walk in price being reduced to £20 and no tiering to help fill the ground.
Too many empty seats on Saturday.
