Not been in for ages…gone down hill massively, no chicken legs etc..got C&O and M&P pie…bloody awful…is it new owners? Won’t bother again…
So it’s his faultIf you havnt been for ages you aint helping them to keep going are you. So what do you expect
What a load of bollocks …Partly if you dont support local shops they will go down hill and eventually out of business
I sense a bit of anger still over that tasteless pie....What a load of bollocks …
A shop / retailer creates their own demand through the quality and desirability of their product as well as ensuring they are properly located.
There’s only one person to blame if the quality goes downhill and that’s the owner …
I’m well over it…I sense a bit of anger still over that tasteless pie....
They do good stuff on the whole.I’m well over it…
I’ve since had one of their sausage rolls in the Moretti Lounge which was excellent
Maybe they should stick to pork ?

The Long family sold the business in 1996 to someone who continued running the book shop until about 1999/2000. The shop was then empty for about a year until the Pork Shop opened on 2001.Apropos shops in Poulton near St Chad's, when did Longs booksellers close?
Abingdon barbecue’s sausages are a work of art. The cooked ones especially. They also randomly have another shop in Ashton under Lyne.Ive had pies and sausage rolls from there in the past.
Can't say I was overly impressed with the quality, and they seemed very expensive.
I don't know where they get their pies etc from, but the best I've tasted on the Fylde Coast are from Abingdon Barbecue, and they're very reasonably priced.
The pasties are especially good, and there always seems to be a queue outside, so they must be doing something right.
Abingdon Street chicken shop. Great shopIs there a beef shop or chicken shop.
