With a Prime Minister who refers to Africans as Picanninnies with watermelon smiles,
Describes Muslim women as letterboxes and bank robbers
That it is natural to be scared of Islam
Who appointed an aide who believes black people are less intelligent.
Who refused to criticise racists booing taking the knee

If it is correct that those racists posting vile comments on social media should lose their jobs (and it is) then this should start with the resignation of the Prime Minister and the sacking of the Home Secretary.

It's worth reminding people again that racists like Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, Paul Golding and Nigel Farage all backed voting for the Prime Minister at the last election- I wonder why that was?

You are a very bitter individual full of hate☹️

Explain why it is bull?
Those comments are racist whether enough of a minority of voters chose to turn a blind eye to racism or not.
Or perhaps you could explain which comments are not racist?

I’m not actually sure what it would take for Boris to resign for his acts or statements as he’s certainly never shown any concern to what everyone thinks? Patel is rightly being lambasted by Mings and others on social media but again is an Asian woman in a senior position so suits some strange “look we are progressive” headline (despite countless horror stories).

Why Labour with all of this ammunition available are incapable of capturing the hearts of the nation should be a massive concern?

one trick pony with single agenda. That's his aim -to get people discussing what he wants to talk about. To get you away from discussing other topics. The aim of people transfixed by Antifa.
You're right. This topic hasn't been in anyone's thoughts until Cat mentioned it. As I said, do you disagree with anything from the statement from Give Racism the Red Card?

Maybe he needs to take a leaf out of your wide range of topic driven posts, so eclectic.

If that means we never have to see Johnson with an ill fitting England shirt thrown on over his shirt and tie, while he pretends to like football, then I'm all for it.
It’s another bonus of being a Pool fan, I won’t have to see Tom Cruise high giving David Vaughan’s cuckold at Bloomfield.
Certainly won’t see Boris sat in the Corporate box

How do you know whether he likes football or not, I’m led to believe he is a football fan and supports all London teams😁

My big fear in all this is that there is a slight danger we go down the American road and racism gets worse.
An American athlete called Gwen Berry has come out in support of the England players tweeting, they only love us when it benefits them.
Our history isn't Americas, we need to deal with this in our own way, my only reservation about taking the knee was the fact that it was an American import.
It should always have been supported because the sentiment is right but with hindsight maybe black people in Britain should have come up with something that was specific to racism in the UK.

How do you know whether he likes football or not, I’m led to believe he is a football fan and supports all London teams😁
Is everything he does in his life revolving around shagging, eating or conning people in to voting for him.
Common theme here, its all about him pal!!

Boris Johnson is to blame for everything wrong with this country. He is not responsible for anything that is right.

Everyone knows this

I blame parents for racism. Drugs, alcohol, theft etc etc. Really is how you are brought up.

Naa. Boris Johnson is to blame for everything wrong with this country. He's not responsible for anything that is right.

So you say “he supports ALL London teams”! Which one in particular? Is he like Cameron who supported Wet Spam, or was it Villa, cos they had the same coloured shirts? I don’t remember seeing the buffoon at many matches, but I do remember seeing him at Twickenham at the start of the pandemic, shaking hands with all and sundry, and saying Covid was like swine flu and would be over in a matter of weeks!
He is an incompetent fool who will join any bandwagon if he thinks there are votes in it!

I voted for him😃 no conning involved 🤪

I can't say I voted for Boris myself but what I find amazing is that so many of those who voted for somebody else - or should I say a party other than the Conservatives - know exactly why those who voted for Boris/Conservatives did so.

There are so many factors too consider yet they know exactly why everybody voted for the Conservatives and they also know that all those who did so were duped.

It would appear that in the land of AVFTT you are racist if you regularly comment on threads involving discussion on racism.

Posters are allowed to get with away making frivolous accusations of racism based on such an assumption because the moderator(s) follow that line of thinking.

If the posters who continually bang on about racism and racists and are allowed to make these ridiculous accusations were to stop putting up threads on racial issues, no fecker would be interested in discussing any such nonsense.

It would appear that if you don't agree with everything that they are not happy with and on exactly how they believe that things should be addressed then you are a racist.

I think it's fair to say that the issue of racism is currently a hot topic away from this board 😉. There definitely is an interest in the topic.

I bet Corbyn wishes he had joined a few bandwagons 🤣🤣🤣

Wiz

It gets discussed on social media and obviously we have the football but it would appear that they are plenty of posters on here who are more interested in causing disharmony on here or in having a dig at the Government than in addressing racial issues.

Are these posters really interested in addressing and help resolve any problems ?

Would there time not be better spent doing something to try and resolve any problems rather than attacking folk who have never discriminated or prejudged in their lives ?

A serious question Wiz, do you spend as much time discussing racial issues in the real world than you do on here ?

Over the last couple of days, yes.

I’m guessing that the clue is in the word ‘nonsense’ 🤔

Over the last couple of days, yes.

Sorry Wiz, I wasn't meaning to be critical of you and was genuinely interested.

I am not doubting what you say for a second but I am rather surprised, is this just very rare because of the football or are you talking generally ?

To be honest with you, I can't say I discuss such issues very often outside of this forum.

Recidivist

Yes, "nonsense" is the perfect term to discuss the actions of you and your like.

You are the perfect example of somebody who continually tries to cause disharmony on this forum.

It would appear that you try to create division when there is no need and I'd certainly say that you are more interested in causing trouble than you are in seriously discussing and debating racial issues and genuinely trying to rhelp esolve any problems.

So yes, the clue is in the word "nonsense" as you suggest.

The utterly predictable nature of what happened after Sunday night (I said as much in the matchday thread just after the final whistle, saying that their social media accounts would be full of constructive comments) has made it clear that racism is still a major issue in football and life in general. People are talking about it, trying to understand the mindset of those trolling footballers. For most people, it's simply not something they can comprehend.

Absolutely Wiz.

My previous comments were not directed at you and certainly not specifically at you.

I still stand by what I say, in that such issues are often brought up on here to cause trouble rather than to inspire positive discussion/debate and ultimately resolve or help resolve problems.

I am also surprised that you discuss such issues as much in the real world as you do on here, although that is certainly not to doubt what you say.

I do not believe that racial issues are as widespread as you suggest, we have made massive progress in this area in life and football and continue to do so, we really shouldn't let the fact that more idiots now have foghorns get in the way of that progress.

Of course, one incident is one too many and we can always do better.

Me too, Never discuss race issues any where else cos I’ve got no reason to. Also I couldn’t even tell you which way any of my pals voted, you know what too, I couldn’t care less.

So it seems that racism should be ignored because drawing attention to it is divisive.
Or that it should not be mentioned ever again because it has been spoken of before.
Surely it would be more appropriate to condemn the racist comments of the Prime Minister than to ignore them and pretend they never happened.

Sadly it’s been here for hundreds of years
When everyone turns orange in sunbed lounges
It’ll probably get worse😬
Sad bastards

You might have a point but we're sort of lucky that we dont have huge parts of our demographic in Blackpool as ethnically diverse, because we don't have to suffer the discrimination and abuse that causes the division.

It must be really tough being singled out because you're black and having to lead a life of poor opportunity, and really none of us on here know what that is like to endure.

In that context threads like this aren't specifically relevant to this board, but equally we/you are unlikely to see black/asian people at Bloomfield Road.

Folk have to decide if they want to see Blackpool remain as a social backwater that hasn't caught up yet, and that applies to racial prejudice. Personally I think we're miles behind the rest of the country on many things and this is just one of them.

One of your best posts.

Many of the threads on this subject make me cringe. Blackpool people live in a pretty much one-race area and have absolutely no idea what multiculturalism in the big cities is like.

I moved about forty miles away in the 1980s. In terms of attitudes, it might has well have been forty million.

It takes a lot to shock me but wow. It's worrying that they felt free to say that at all nevermind in front of all of their team mates.

so the anti semitism spewed out by your former leader and his pals was ok then, whos the hypocrite?
Racism everywhere should be called out. The racism at the top of the Tory Party is not negated because Corbyn's weak and poor leadership of the Labour Party allowed anti-semitism to take hold in some areas. Both must be fought and Keir Starmer has taken big steps to do that in the Labour Party.

Now then, do you believe what the OP says about the lack of clear leadership on condemning racism, at the top in Government?

A big part of it is CW but then there are many parents who despair about other influences on their children: peer groups, social media, their local environment. It can't be easy for children to make sense of racism in isolation, especially in the inner-cities where there might be local gangs of black youths, white youths, Asian youths, mixed race gangs. It all adds to the pressures of growing up well-adjusted.
