Rangers friendly (Confirmed)

Nope, reported as cancelled at Rangers end
Probably Lancs police who don’t seem to want people coming to the entertainment capital of Europe. Beyond useless and cost the Pool a fortune every season with their wet wipe policies. Liverpool City or Utd could draw them in Europe and they could cope with 70,000 plus with a line of stewards between fans but 16,000 at Blackpool oh no too much hassle.

As we've not yet filled a big chunk of our pre-season, the fact that date is still free means talks are obviously on-going.
Do pre-season games really need that much policing?
If they restricted away tickets I can't imagine it would need a huge presence?

Need a few more friendlies now

Wonder whether part of the delay is the question of whether the new manager wants to take them away for a few days?

Either way, probably need at least one between Salford and the first league game.

The only weird thing is selling to ST holders first that would mean Rangers only getting the East.
No chance we'll sell out home ends meaning the the Jocks are going to be everywhere should have gave them another stand.

Rangers getting half the ground. Home fans north and west upto Q.

Supporters are asked to note that the North and West Stands (up to Block Q) are designated home areas for this fixture. All Block M seating is priced at £15 per person.

Maybe Rangers will get the South ??

North and West up to and including Q block are home fans as confirmed by Official Site and initially on sale to ST holders.
Therefore expect East and the Armfield will be Rangers.
Blocks where the Family area between West and Armfield probably cordoned off.

Academic for me even though I have renewed for V Block( hopefully my seat will be in one piece come the start of the season😳) I won’t be driving over for this or any of our pre season.I am only concerned when the season actually starts.

Funny isn’t it, if I had a burglary, you wouldn’t see the police for dust, but pay them extra and they’ll police a football match.
That's why over 90% of reported cases go unsolved crime really does pay.

Our useless Police force are more concerned tracking down sweaty teenagers posting offensive Tweets or going after those having a beer, curry or bit if cake than solving proper crimes.

This will be a cracking atmosphere. Scrafton has said there is another big home friendly to be announced as well, wonder who that will be.

Last time the atmosphere was all them. I think we will give them a run for their money this time.
Whilst there will be a police presence I don’t think there will be any crowd trouble.

My old man’s been and bought us a couple of tickets this morning. Having to leave the South and slum it in the North with all the riff raff unfortunately 😂. Should be a good game with a good atmosphere by all accounts. Ticket office was apparently really busy and suprised with how quickly they were selling given the announcement only came out an hour or so earlier.

I hope they club have judged demand right, one reason I wanted a big team at home was to sell as many tickets as we can and maybe attract new fans, casuals.

Looks like it may be mostly previous purchase people so the same people? With aprox 8k for home fans?

I know its a friendly and even though its Rangers its not like playing a top prem side.

Was hoping to see home demand able to grow. Maybe this friendly isn't that? Just a chance to get a good payout guaranteed off rangers.....

Friendlies have always been poorly attended at BR remember ten years ago playing Everton for Keith Southern testimonial attendance 9k and around 2k of them where from Liverpool!

Give the tickets to Rangers we'll be lucky to shift anywhere near what their getting great business for the town as Scotland school holidays are on and a lot of that 7k will bring families.👍

Probably right, I guess its either a top prem side friendly or a big cup game at home we'd need.

Should earn the club good money.

A friend bought theirs as soon as was announced.
