Rangers in the north

They were being asked to take their tops off, however according to a steward the advice (not sure if club or police) is to let them in.

If this was a league game with something to play form other than a kick about to get fit then I should imagine i5 would be a lot different.

70 per cent West stand were Rangers, no hint of trouble and great for club coffers, must be north of 200kgbp.
Tbf the rangers fans in the north kept there heads down and didn’t join in with any songs or bouncing. Still think it’s mental having hundreds of away fans in the home ends wearing colours it’s a recipe for disaster when there’s alcohol involved. The fact that there wasn’t an incident today is brilliant.

Nearly everyone, Aston Villa and Man United had the Kop virtually to themselves. Others would've had it not been for the fencing, Wolves and Stoke for one.
Man Utd were given it anyway in 74. Villa brought a massive team in 75 at the end of their promotion run. Wolves in 76 had big numbers in the 2-2 draw when they tried to take the roof off the Kop. Stoke in 78 for the 1-1 draw were quite a handful. Bolton in Dec 77 when we lost 0-2 were every fkin where.
So not that bad then, 5 games out of a decade when we were seriously outnumbered and outgunned.

And I was at every one of them 👍

Bolton brought around 10-12k for that game, nearly all on the kop. Blackpool's side was pretty full too. I have a photograph somewhere taken by my grandfather from the south.

I was expecting them in the home ends, as everyone was, but I wasn’t expecting them to be so obvious and blatant about it. I felt like I was queuing for the away end going through the turnstiles but in all honesty… didn’t mind it. It’s a friendly and the majority will be local anyway 😂.

Best atmosphere at Bloomfield Road for years and will be the best all this season. Great support!! Be great to make this an annual thing.

Sat in the west, Rangers fans all around, in their colours, all well behaved, some with families. chatted with some about the match, they were raving about Josh Bowler (hope they don't make a bid for him) and from what I saw their was not an ounce of trouble inside or outside the ground, it was all good natured, and their support in the south and the east was spectacular, we won't see away support like that until the next time they come to BR perhaps it could be a regular annual summer pre-season friendly, good competetive game, loads a money for our club, and our town with many of them making a weekend of it all

Back to the drawing board for previous purchase history.

Denies some casual pool fans attending and did very little today to stop many.

Obviously it's a friendly and no one really cares, its about making as much money and we'll have done that.

Two Glaswegian squadies once joshed with me that Blackpool's wasn't in England ... it's in Scotland.
Wonder if there are any more Charlie Adams in their reserves?

As others have said, great, friendly support from the Gers.

Took over the Armfield; one even offered to buy the 3 of us a drink.

All good natured and didn't see any trouble anywhere.

So why for Gods sake was the bloody gate by the NE corner locked after the game?

The stayaway Seasiders missed a great day!
Yeah like a said I was naused before the game because I just felt it was gonna turn sour but it didn’t so every credit from both sides. And as there were hundreds of gers in home ends why was the gate lock I had my Mrs waiting on central drive in the car 😂
