Sources close to Reclaim explained that the party did not take a left or right stance but rather "is a broad church, acknowledging left and right are dying distinctions".

The new party has three main aims which have been revealed by the Telegraph.

The first goal is "to promote an open space through full protection of the fundamental freedoms of speech, expression, thought, association and academic inquiry.

“To stand in full opposition to laws and other measures which undermine those freedoms".

The second objective is "to reform publicly-funded, controlled and operated institutions to ensure that they deliver on their primary purpose, free from political bias or agendas beyond their scope.

"This program of reform will cover, although not be exclusive to, our system of democracy, education, law enforcement, the civil service, public media, charitable organisations and other non-governmental organisations in receipt of public funds."

The third aim is "to preserve and celebrate our shared national history, cultural inheritance and global contribution".

Not sure about Lawrence Fox.

Sources close to reclaim explained?

Are reclaim incapable of explaining themselves?

A UKIP for culture, without a left or right wing stance. That must be the oxymoron of the week!

Fox is copying what Macron did in France when setting up “En Marche”. Trying to be all things to all people, but with a patriotic slant. It will end up with a conservative, repressive agenda.
“to reform publicly-funded, controlled and operated institutions to ensure that they deliver on their primary purpose, free from political bias or agendas beyond their scope.”... Well... read my strapline.

Only a matter of time before Jezza and John McDonut start a new socialist party. Wonder what they will call it ? Red Flag maybe?

Good luck to him but it's almost impossible to make headway in a FPTP system.

There's a bit of anti-woke bandwagon among media types at the moment. Nothing wrong with that but maybe Fox would be better riding that out for a while with a podcast and news panel gigs rather than start a new party. I'm sure there'll be space on the new GB News channel to fill.

I think he quite fancies himself in a tight fitting black shirt; on a stage with the lights on him; and an adoring crowd.

Being an actor and all that.

Sure it`s not a brown shirt?

His friend Rebecca Front has blocked him on twitter for his BLM comments...

Sounds like a party for posh white people who want to complain about not being able to say certain things. Only you never actually find out what they wanted to say anyway, because they don’t really want you to know what it was they thought they weren’t allowed to say.

Thought we had free speech in this country, must be mistaken, there’s loads you can’t say now.

I think we should be ok as they can't meet in more than a group of 6 and have to socially distance. Will they be an underground movement in Woke London and sneak out at night?

Striker said to ref, if I said you’re a w@nk&r, what would you do. I’d send you off. What if I just think you’re a w@nk&r. Nothing I can do about what you think. Ok, I think you’re aw@nk&r then 🤨 kinda sums it up

Well I suppose I should have known all along really that’s what all the fuss was going to be about.
Just the right to cause offence with impunity.

We had a drunken night in Lytham before Christmas and started talking politics - the jist of it was that they are all pissing in the same pot, so we came up with a new party with the name of "Non of the above" - created a party song but never got round to any policies.

Just the name would be enough for vote at the moment
