Not the comments you want to read. I think the Huddersfield fans will demand him back. I kid you not this is only a fraction of the comments, I got bored copying and pasting

Rhodes’s form is now impossible to ignore no matter what League he’s playing in.

He still scored more than Ward last season in half the number of starts. Rhodes may be past his best but he's head & shoulders above anything else we've got at the moment.

Rhodes got one in the cup at Preston. 6 in total, but again it was in half the number of starts.

For me bringing Rhodes back is a must in Jan as well as looking to sign another striker. We've seen what a couple of injuries does to the team & having a couple more options up front is vital to our survival hopes.

You come up with anti-Rhodes posts every time Porrohman and those stats don't paint the whole picture do they ?
He is not the total answer on his own but he could be a million times better than any other suggestion I've seen if used correctly

To be fair we literally own the second top scorer in L1

If we had the players to give him the ball he would score. He must be full of confidence right now and that is exactly what we need. To say people don't want him back is bonkers imo

Htafc have 19 goals this season, two of which were own goals.

Rhodes has 13.

Rhodes always has been and always will be a better striker than Ward

Even if he is on the bench it’s got to make us stronger than we are at the moment.
We must have the weakest forward options in the Championship

He's better suited in a formation with two strikers and is way better than Hudlin and Harrat both of who will be very lucky to play at league one level let alone championship. Need him back ASAP IMO

It’s looking likely I must admit

Thankfully we have Joseph coming back, and to his credit Beesley is looking ok.

We do need to assume now that he's going back and be looking at a replacement.

I think they will recall him, but I don't think he will want to stay without guaranteed game time, so i think we will have to negotiate a permanent move if he is to remain with us. Whether our board will do that, who knows. It's all well and good banging in lots of goals in League One, but the Championship is a whole different matter. I don't think Rhodes would greatly improve their predicament. They should have been relegated last season, and probably will be this season with or without Rhodes, as they are a poor championship team.

A bit disappointing to read this, but tbh not really surprising.
As Sooty says, we're unlikely to get another loan of JR's quality, so I would hope/expect we're already planning a replacement in January if he is recalled

I like Joseph, but is he a like for like replacement for Rhodes?

He would hardly get the opportunities to score the goals he has in League One in the Championship. I suppose Huddersfield are in such a desperate position that they are willing to see if that is the case. Huddersfield have nothing to lose by taking him back.

If it was the other way round we'd 100% want him back at our club

Talking to my HTFC mate this morning says they dont want him as he is not championship standard anymore !
The OP kind of blows👆 FB4's quote from a couple of days ago out the water.
I'd be sorry to see him go back but somewhat inevitable after performing as he is☹️

Rhodes is a revelation at league one level, in tangerine at any rate. The udders are getting desperate. So they will take him back and hope he can reignite them. JR may not comply and hopefully we benefit once more down the line.

Hudders have a real dilemma here and is it a gamble they want to take? Rhodes is on fire in L1 and getting some very good service from the players around him here, the Championship is completely different and he’s struggled there for the last few seasons so do they think he’s going to help them beat the drop and do they have the players to help him get the goals? We don’t know what’s going on in the background in terms of making an offer for him or already looking at replacements but I’m not sure JR is the answer to Hudders problems IMHO.

Rhodes has done everything we could have dreamed of and has given the Club lots lot of confidence now going in the Xmas fixture spell

We need someone to step up now in terms of goal scoring as he will be going back or we share the goals about in January - that’s a lot of pressure on Joseph and others but with a fully fir squad and a good run through Xmas we will be when placed when we lose him

A massive thank you to him for his goals 13 & counting (3 or 4 more would be really handy)

In a perfect world Darren Moore (who seems a decent bloke) should ask JR what he'd like to do. He's approaching the final knockings of his career & I'm certain he stated his family were settled this way (maybe from his Blackburn days)? Not only his goals he is also very vocal/encouraging with younger players so hopefully our board can negotiate a permanent move with possibly a coaching role.

What's Kev Phillips doing these days, or Possibly Paul Dickov? we have had some real quality, maybe not in their prime, but have been really exciting.. ( & prolific!!) JR falls into that category. I/we have been privileged to watch them in tangerine

From what I hear, wages would be an issue if we offered to buy him, but money isnt everything? he has moved for over 8million, several times, so he will be financially secure, he may prefer to stay on the Gold Coast & keep playing/banging them in, & take a pay cut (so we could afford him) with a longer deal, & the temptation of a coaching role...

Sadly its out of our hands...

But Jordan...... its your choice dude...

Gold Coast or Dark Satanic mills?

Just looking before Jan they have nobbers, Millwall, Norwich, rovers & boro. Hope they can score a load and pick up points.

I honestly can't not see them not recalling unless we offer them some dosh... but u never know

What if Udders did take him back and he hardly played or was crap when he did play . Could we still have him back on loan end of January if Udders were letting him go out on loan again ?

Yesterday, he was the player i always thought he was. Did very little in the game but there he was putting two chances away. Unless he scores, i always thought he contributed very little and that's how he's been throughout his career. But he knows where to be and he knows how to finish. I'll bet he's loving this renaissance in his career and i hope we can keep him for the rest of the season. Then we can take it from there.

I understand it’s completely up to the Huddersfield owners , but Jordan appears to love it here , fans favourite , top guy , playing week in and week out . Is he really going to be happy coming off the bench at Huddersfield ? He will be playing against much better defence and it won’t be as easy . Sign him up !!

They won’t take him back, they may use the threat as leverage to get us to buy him.

My thoughts exactly a bit of blackmail always works 6 months left on his contract over to you Blackpool.
Only sticking point will be his wages which would probably need to go down a fare bit,but if Jordan signed for us but a 2 year deal would work out more in the long run.

Interesting to note he was clapping the crown around the ground yesterday.

Was it a sign of appreciation or a sign he has enjoyed his stay, our support but is aware he'll be going back?

Unfortunately they can't not take him back now.

He has too many goals to ignore and Hudders predicament is dire.

If they don't take him back and get relegated with a crap goals for column, there will be uproar.

It's Rhodes fault, he has scored too many!!!

A good post this but it’s not all the story.
My brother in law, his best mate (and others in their circle) would say differently. Jordan left because Warnock didn’t want him. He was down the pecking order anyway. There wasn’t much moaning when he left.
Now, they’re clutching at straws. They have only one provider (the lad from Wimbledon) and HT haven’t got a partner up front in the Beesley mould to help Jordan out.
No-one knows if JR wants to go back, here or at Hudders.
My money is on he stays………unless there’s money somewhere?

Exactly my thoughts on him too. And in truth who gives a monkey's if he touches the ball only 5 times in a game and one is to get a goal.

A 1:2 striker almost guarantees a top half finish.

yep, he's L1's equivalent of Haaland. 😉

This isn’t enough. Rhodes is absolutely crucial to our success this season and I’m actually quite angry that a recall option was included in the initial deal.

Perhaps the only way we could get him??

I expect him to go back......

....or not.

In the film They Who Dare . a commando raid is planned against German airfields. on the island of Rhodes. or in greek the island of rodos meaning island of roses. lets hope this comes up smelling of roses.

I think every loan, at our level at least, has a break clause in it which can of course be beneficial to both Clubs.

He cannot leave till Jan so at least a few more matches. Brilliant player but we are playing to his, strengths which is why he is so productive and enjoying life.

This is the way.

Hopefully the club are having these discussions with Hudders already. You would hope if Hudders were going to recall him, they’d notify us and then we’d try to negotiate back with them re: a permanent.

Feel like 250k would be fair, because surely whatever he provides for them wouldn’t be worth more than that?

Not a cat in hell’s chance they’d let him come to us for £250k now after the goals
he’s scored, they know what he’s worth to us. It’s whether they take a higher bid or they want to see if he can get them out of the mire in the New Year.

Think it’s a pretty standard occurance with loans
