They should be taken off the list of official supporters Groups that the club speak to and they should be left in no uncertain terms that they have gone way over the line with this one. I don't care if it's one person who has the account, there are a few on here still standing up for him and it has been the Muckers account for a long time and they should have told him to take it down at the start if he wasn't saying what they wanted. Plus how do we know it's only one person who has access to it? Was anything on their FB page?

Anything can be faked now so believe it if you want but it's so easy to look very foolish.

If they apologise to both the player and club and maybe we see a resignation or two then they should remain in the fold as many have pointed out there are many positives with the Muckers.

However things can’t stand as they are. They have damaged both the club and the player and there needs to be some kind of accountability if they can’t be man enough to apologise.

Who players have supported or played for is irrelevant if they deliver on the pitch.
Evatt was also superb for us, do we now hate him cos he is doing well for Notlob, who many hate more than Preston?
If he was born in Preston, I would rather him support his local team than be a plastic, same applies to Blackpool born fans.

Agreed, this shambles is likely going to stop all that now.

No way the club will want to be seen dealing with any group after this, good the bad and the ugly will all be given a wide berth.
 
Just wanted to say that all this was started by a PNE fan who wanted to cause havoc and get Pool fans bickering........seems to be working.

It's been proved the texts are fake......what kind of 'mate' would try and fuck up his friends career.....Oh yes....a PNE fan
That PNE fan must be pissing himself watching this.........But, we will get the last laugh when this kids popping in goals for fun
And PNE are looking at relegation.........I'll be doing the ** Lowecommotion that day....

Yes it was poor form imo and doesn't look great for the guy posting it, but I'm sure he knew coming here he'd have to prove himself even more and some wouldn't like the fact he might support them.

It's not going to affect any other players.

Its all a fuss about nothing, twitter storm.

I have already said that it should not effect his performance ,but I have never heard of fans vetting players and having them explain themselves to the media . You don't think that this will soil the signing of this player and you don't think this is not already out to other pro footballers . Then you have no clue about social media and the damage it can do. To emphasise this ,just check how many other people are suggesting there should be an apology from the muckers.

No I don't think it will affect players, it's a storm in a teacup, why would a player think it would happen to them, not like they will all be nobbers.

I do know social media so that's not right.

They got the approach wrong but to suggest its going to damage any other signings is mad.

People have been writing shite on twitter for years, absolute nonsense, hate, misinformation.

I pointed out the fact he didn’t play for them as someone posted “ we have had many ex preston players” he didn’t play for Preston he supports them. Shame you you failed to understand my post.

I was correcting someone who pointed out we have had loads of ex pne players what has that got to do with Rhys ? he’s never played for Preston so I think you will find that’s irrelevant.

Your probably right about not putting other players off and you are certainly right about not being all Knobbers ,but along with our recent history with the penny pinching Oystons , and the poor reputation we have from them , adding more coals to the fire like these muckers have done does not help . As you sound intelligent even you must concede that.

But I dont think it does much to our standing.

I think professional players have to deal with actual hate etc on twitter so are prepared for things.

This wasn't hate but a text attributed to him.

Its not a huge deal, hardly going to be a deal breaker or even a consideration for any player.

"Right I'm happy with the money, club, training facilities, stadium etc.... but wait... I wonder if I will be misrepresented on twitter."

It won't affect anything. 👍

Have you just put the muckers tweeting our nobber supporting player in the same bracket as the Oystons ? 😂
And no I don’t think it will have any bearing on any future players signing for us at all.

No idea you expect him to have some minutes if he's to be involved in the first game...

But tbh hes behind Keogh and Marv, unless we're going 3 at the back.

Even then, Thorniley never lets us down, apart from all the times he did with og's 😀

But it does make sense as Keogh won't play all games, we'll have injuries, cup competitions etc so we do need to use them all.
