Of all the speculative stuff that is posted about Apter on this thread one thing that won't happen is him going out on loan to another Club.
He's already played for us (against Derby in the League Cup) so that's his 2 club limit.
 
Tranmere are desperate to keep him. A few weeks ago Tranmere were in the bottom 3 with Apter on the bench.
Now they are mid table and only 6 points off Play Offs, winning 5 of last 6 games.
With Apter in the team Play Offs are easily achievable now.

This is a good point, the experience of him chasing the Playoffs could be vital and he's gone from strength to strength there so slowing down that development to make him be a sub with us would be stupid.

And if they are desperate to keep him, make them pay a loan fee for the next 6 months. 50k-100k. Bosh.
 
With a bit of luck we don’t recall him until after next weekend as I’m off to Barrow with by Brother in Law and Nephew who are Tranmere fans and I’m quite looking forward to seeing young Rob tear Barrow apart.

He's been ripping it up there and his loan was only until Jan.

So it's normal and also we need all the options we can.
 
My guess, and it's absolutely a guess, is that he'll be here through January and then see where we are and if he's got game time. For example, if Dembele was to be injured or recalled, we might decide to keep him, if he's a bench warmer for the next few weeks, we might send him back to Tranmere.

For the record, I hope he stays and plays a part for us.
 
The penny has finally dropped for Apter, he’s got use to the rough & tumble of men’s football & he himself has started to fill out & cope better. The BFC coaches will have been waiting for this too happen, But he will still be challenged in the coming weeks & ‘closing down’ his opponents a lot quicker than he did for Tranmere will be pointed out. As others have said his game is about running at defenders, the one thing that I look forward to seeing is his link-up play.

I tend to agree with this. Tranmere haven't even announced that he's left, no mention of it at all so that is making me think they might have a chance to get him back. That or I'm bored and reading way too much into it.

He's excelled at all four clubs he's been loaned out to. Bamber Bridge, Chester, Scunthorpe and Tranmere. There was no penny to drop, he's just a talented young lad who is gradually getting physically stronger and moving up the leagues.

I suspect he has returned because Weir has gone and Dougall has probably gone. Others may go also. If someone comes in he may go back to TR. I do hope he is given a chance though.

He has returned because he is a talent and ready for first team action.
There is a congestion of fixtures, particularly if we beat Burton (likely) or dream about beating Forest.

I know he is cup tied but there are bound to be injuries.

My (speculative) reply was to do with speculation he might be moving to Tranmere permanently/for rest of season, not our squad list registered with the efl.

Rob is on our squad list, the u21 bit, as an under contract player, as are all the other players that are under contract and out on loan. Rob is of course also on Tranmere's squad list. The squad lists are however a bit redundant until the transfer window closes because players can be moved in or out of it on a game by game basis. Not sure what that's got to do with whether or not we might transfer him

Why would he move to Tranmere permanently? Close to zero chance of that.

The 'physically stronger' bit is vital I think. 18 months ago he was getting knocked off the ball easily so he couldn't impose himself properly. He's more developed now so his game has come on leaps and bounds. Also I don't really see him as a CJ or Dale replacement, more as back up for Dembele. The little magician (copyright chizzy) takes some clatterings and could do with the odd rest to keep him fresh. Rob could slip into that position on 55 or 60 min and the shape could be maintained.

Perfect example of the formation picking the players and not the players picking the formation. We don't want the shape to be maintained, that's the point. Apter will be the latest example of a player playing in a wrong position to suit the formation. He is a winger and we need to be playing with wingers.

That is probably how the management will bring Apter in. They will assess him in training as all returning players to the squad. Ideally when he plays, his performances will demand selection.

I see him as a 10 too, but he's played on the right for TR and excelled there so I wouldn't limit him to one role.

He's far better than CJ Hamilton and has a higher ceiling than CJ. Critch won't put him in even though he is apparently someone willing to give youth the chance. We'll play better football with Apter than CJ.
