Rugby World Cup

As a bona fide thick fuck I knew that getting knocked senseless occasionally may cause damage but I carried on like my company sells shit food that I consume or bargain booze sells me too much alcahol all cause damage but it's not there fault. That said if I smoked I defo blame tobacco companys😁

The half back was that bad at box kicking it was confusing the fijiians and we kepy wining it back he's defo the worse scrum half I've seen in an England shirt

That was an incredible game tonight. I'm not complaining but England aren't fit to carry drinks for either of tonights teams. Can't see us beating SA, but nice to have the chance.

We'll get smashed. Absolutely no doubt about it. We've tippy toed through through playing none of the top teams and being exceptionally average.

Some right dreamers on here. This team is shite. The Saffers will be foaming at the jowels to run over, round and through us.

Furthermore it was tragic to see Stade Velodrome in the vibrant city of Marseille resemble centre court at Wimbledon with the middle classes and wannabes filling the seats decked out in berets and singing swing lo for 80 minutes.

I think SA will thrash the All Blacks in the final.

Although I expect England to lose to SA I still have memories of 2007.
We had a poor team and unfancied yet we somehow slogged out results and reached the final.
Lost to SA but was close with a disputed disallowed try.

Beaten none of the top teams?

Pretty sure we beat one of the other teams who are in the semi finals.

Agree with the rest mind. 👍

Argentina were absolutely awful against us and on a par with England currently…….so no nowhere near a top team, they’ve just been lucky to be placed in the piss poor side of the draw alongside us

We maintained the fine tradition of brawling in the stadium from what I saw on twitter.😉

They beat Wales something England couldn’t do last time out.

Just for clarity I’m not saying England are going to win this tournament but you can only beat what’s in front of you and so far we remain the only unbeaten team.

2007 and we didn’t have a chance in the QF or SF.

Flights, tickets and hotels booked for next weekend in Paris.

Sports is amazing sometimes and throws up huge shocks.

Double over Liverpool anyone??

This weekend in Marseille has been ABSOLUTELY mental.
You got a beating in the final though.

Liverpool were terrible when we played them both times. Woy had taken them to mid table garbage.

Spot on. Its not a badge of honour to lose to teams you play. Beat teams on the day, not compare the other games. The other three teams in the semi's have all lost a game. We haven't.

You not English?

Meanwhile, I'm delighted and really surprised that we are the last northern hemisphere side left in the tournament, and remain the only northern hemisphere team to win it.

I think we need to start looking at a 6 Nations Division 2 to start getting improvements across the board - I'd include promotion and relegation.

Looking at Portugal for example, I think they'd give any of the 6 nations a proper game. It's the only way we improves standards I think.

Mmmm you obviously were not there.

Swing Low was only really sung when Englands back was to the wall and the majority of the crowd were anti-English.

Beer in the stands, fans mixed together, loads of banter and no trouble.

No players feigning injury, and a good old battle on the field.

All the fans of the four teams plus loads of others mixing in the pubs in The Old Port and having a laugh and again no trouble.

Sounds good to me 👍 what’s not to like?

And players don’t surround the ref if they don’t like a decision. Football has a lot to learn from rugby and their supporters

I am not an egg chasing fan, I remember a long time ago rugby used to be a lot more watchable but England especially play, imo, a particularly boring brand of the game.

Due to posts on this board over the weekend I’ve watched the second halves of the Englands and last nights quarters and I am still of the same opinion but I will watch the semi.

I agree there is a lot that football could take from rugby but I doubt it ever will, rugby people I find a bit weird but then football people I find increasingly annoying as I get older.

Mixing with all fans in bars is how it should be, I didn’t always think like this but again maturity and travel have taught me there are good and bad people in every country, every fan base in every sport.

Georgia, Rumania, Spain and I’m sure there are other nations to make up to six.

Most of the "knowledgeable" rugby media had the northern hemisphere putting one over their southern counterparts
Ireland and France nos. 1&2 in the world, the latter on home soil
It's not just a game in New Zealand, as they constantly remind us and the 'boks look as strong as they were four years ago.
Hope we can compete and, although written off pre-tournament, we're still in it, but it'll be a toughie.
In a way, quite looking forward to a fascinating NZ SA final, but hope I'm wrong.

I suspect it'll be a South Africa win by at least 10pts. England have to be perfect and get off to a good start. If we can get our noses in front and put them under some pressure, you just never know. I just hope we play well and make them work for it, if they do beat us.
