Suella Braverman re-appointed as Home Secretary
I'm surprised its her and in that position but having a couple of ERG goons (loons) in cabinet I fully expected.Appalling women, Sunak has gone down in my estimation he's sucking up to the ERG goons
They must be happy the moment they get out of EU airspace. What a dump the Fourth Reich is.Shush don't tell anyone but the EU send folk to Rwanda.
If labour are ripping legal Sue apart then they might not be looking at Sunak too closely. Labour will take the wins where they can get them, but they don't have the longish term view,Yvette Cooper will rip Braverman apart in the HoC.
Just like she did last time.
I’m sure Labour are able to multi task and can “oppose” (as opposition parties are supposed to do) on several fronts. If labour are ripping legal Sue apart then they might not be looking at Sunak too closely. Or make bravermans and BJ's plan for Rwanda look ridiculous as well as probably illegal and set out some marginally reasonable alternatives, particularly if customs union agreements are put in place. Cuts the legs off a silly idea, cuts the influence of a truly disgusting individual but the ERG still have one of their true loons at the table.I’m sure Labour are able to multi task and can “oppose” (as opposition parties are supposed to do) on several fronts.
Braverman is an obvious target. Make her look totally inept and a liability (not hard given the targets she’s set herself) and Sunak has to make a choice. Get rid and upset the ERG. Or back her and use up loads of political capital in her defence.

Sunak has done that himself.A pretty feeble and desperate attempt to undermine Sunak's new Cabinet on day 1. Must do better.
Sunak has done that himself.
The man with £730 million in the bank says I understand the issues you are all facing.
OK.
Anyway, the main architect of lockdown in charge. You must be delighted.
I bet he helped her write that resignation letter, getting revenge on the woman who beat him. Backstabbers the lot of themAppalling women, Sunak has gone down in my estimation he's sucking up to the ERG goons
He simply can't relate. If you can't see that, what's the point of debating it, as you would say? That's no better Wiz. Saying someone's wealthy doesn't have any bearing on how or whether they understand the issues. How about you wait until there's something to criticise.

Also, you still haven't answered on your view of an arch lockdowner running the country.
Apart from all those people interviewed on the news who said how could he understand people going to food banks to subsist. He seems to be relating very well so far.
As for the covid pandemic most thought Rishi handled it well as Chancellor and certainly saved a lot of businesses from going bust. In any event, as plenty on here never cease to point out, it's the PM who bears the responsibility, so we'll see soon enough how he shapes up.
Sunak has done that himself.

I noticed the week before Liz Truss stood down she authorised a £20m payment to Rwanda this goes with the £30m already sent to Rwanda when this exit loop was set up, so that’s £50m in total.
Just what have we got for 50 million quid in return?
We’ve actually sent a lot more to France to stop the Dinghy’s coming over and that’s been a waste of time as well.
We seriously need an enquiry setting up as we've becoming a nation of throwing money down the drain.
Hope so but doubt it will happen.Suella Braverman re-appointed as Home Secretary

We actually accepted some asylum seekers from Rwanda last year, yet now deem it a safe environment. What's changed? The UK has had to give money to Rwanda to prepare, and have the process, trained staff, accommodation and all else that goes with this arrangements. Imagine what we’d all say if we sent illegal immigrants to Rwanda and they were left un-housed and unsupported on arrival.
Of course there’s a significant upfront cost to setting up these new arrangements.
I think that's a terrible way to treat people and the EU should be ashamed of itself. Britain operating outside of the EU shouldn't emulate it with a.similar scheme. What do you think?Inconvenient truth about EU migrant hell holes should silence critics
DR RAKIB EHSAN: Al-Mabani detention centre in Libya is the EU's inconvenient truth. It is one of many centres the EU helps finance that detains migrants, stopping them from crossing into Europe.www.dailymail.co.uk
I live in an EU member state; No Reich of any kind here but then what would you know? They must be happy the moment they get out of EU airspace. What a dump the Fourth Reich is.
120 MILLION already paid. If one single person is sent to Rwanda, I'll wear a nobber shirt for a day.
Well maybe 5 mins eh ?
I lived in one for 47 years you thick BOCETA!I live in an EU member state; No Reich of any kind here but then what would you know?
Headline making. It will have no impact on the people smugglers. That's what it is all about it isn't?
Braverman scuttled off prior to urgent questions as she and Sunak had a planned facetime with bozza and Truss so they could all bow to SmoggYvette Cooper will rip Braverman apart in the HoC.
Just like she did last time.
Different experience, then. You show yourself up with your ignorance-but you make a habit of it. Have a great day!I lived in one for 47 years you thick BOCETA!
'The clandestine Channel threat commander, Dan O’Mahoney, told the Commons home affairs committee during the hearing that in 2021 the interception rate for French police stopping people trying to cross the Channel was 50%, but this year it has dropped to 42.5%.I noticed the week before Liz Truss stood down she authorised a £20m payment to Rwanda this goes with the £30m already sent to Rwanda when this exit loop was set up, so that’s £50m in total.

Quote from The Guardian …..
MPs previously heard that about 12,000 Albanians have arrived in the UK after crossing the Channel so far this year, of whom 10,000 were single, adult men. This compares with 50 in 2020.
Jenrick said: “Albania is quite clearly a safe country and those individuals have crossed through multiple other safe countries before arriving in the United Kingdom.
“Some reports suggest that as much as 1% or even 2% of the adult male population of Albania either have attempted to leave the country in this manner or are contemplating doing so. So this is a serious situation that we need to grip.”
