AgreedGood, another player off the pay-roll and some money back into the club. He may go on to do well at Argyle but from what I saw he wasn't good enough for higher L1/Championship.
Based on what half a dozen sub appearances in a team that didn't play to his strengthsAgreed
Good luck to the lad - I never thought he got a proper chance here.Hope he continues to do well for himself and Plymouth. Whatever the reasons it just did not work out at the club.
Based on 41 league appearances, only 10 goals and not once looking like he had anywhere near enough ability. He was always in an attacking position and never looked like scoring for us. He's hardly set L1 alight with 4 goals in 20+ games this season either, I really don't understand the fascination with him.Based on what half a dozen sub appearances in a team that didn't play to his strengths

So you are basing your opinion on him not being good enough for us from his wiki stats for another teamBased on 41 league appearances, only 10 goals and not once looking like he had anywhere near enough ability. Hardie signed July17th 2019 on a 2 year contract...with the option of a further year.Good luck to the lad. I know the fee was undisclosed, but if there was only a few months of his contract left, it is very good business indeed, plus it frees up salary. How much did we pay for him?
How much did we buy him for?Hardie signed July17th 2019 on a 2 year contract...with the option of a further year.
Not sure... Things are always cloudy with BFC transfer amounts.... I did read on here maybe 135k...but nothing definite. How much did we buy him for?
No, from seeing pretty much every minute he played for us, the stats back that view up.So you are basing your opinion on him not being good enough for us from his wiki stats for another team
Got it ...
No i haven't got thatNo, from seeing pretty much every minute he played for us, the stats back that view up.
Have you got that?
What does that have to do with anything? I watched pretty much every start or sub appearance he made for us and in my opinion he was poor. The stats I quoted underline my opinion, or do you have an issue with someone having an opinion that differs from yours? What did you see him do in a tangerine shirt that makes you think otherwise? Clearly the coaches at the club didn't rate him either so I'm not the only one didn't think he was good enough. No i haven't got that
How many league games did he start for us?
Doubt itI have a hunch Hardie might do better than Yates in the longer term but Yates is scoring goals in the here and now and has a great attitude and wants to be here - and he might prove me wrong.
We'll see.Doubt it
It's a tough call making a judgement on a player that's made a total of 12 appearances for Blackpool first team which included 4 Trophy games. I can't tell you how many starts he made in the 7 League games he played in but I did see most of those and also some others he made for the reserves, including his hat-trick.No i haven't got that
How many league games did he start for us?
10 goals in 41, roughly the same average as Gnanduillet. Yet some were anticipating his return as though it was the second coming.Based on 41 league appearances, only 10 goals and not once looking like he had anywhere near enough ability. Don't think for one minute that Everton will sell Simms and even if he does go itll be to at least a championship side.Hopefully it means Simms might sign permanent.
All good strikers hunt in pairs, it seems in Hardie & Jephcott you have a good partnership. Good luck to him and the pilgrims, except when you play us of course.Happy with that. He might not have scored the goals this season but he has laid on a few for Jephcott with who he has a great partnership !
He just needs to munch a few extra pasties to bulk himself up a bit !!!!
I'm pretty sure Simms' contract with Everton expires on 30.06.2021 so they need to offer him a new one first.Don't think for one minute that Everton will sell Simms and even if he does go itll be to at least a championship side.
Let's make the most of him whilst we've got him. And hopefully he'll get us up via the play offs like that other quality Everton loanee Seamus
Not me, whilst Gnando did OK for us under a different manager and would have been a viable Plan B, he was never a player I would have pinned my hopes on firing us to promotion. His last 2 seasons were 25 from 73, which is considerably better than Hardie, so I'm not sure that comparison is a good one either.10 goals in 41, roughly the same average as Gnanduillet. I d like to think he would but realistically? No chanceHopefully it means Simms might sign permanent.
Thought his Everton contract was up in a few months time so might be prefect timing for all parties. At his age, he needs game time and he will get that with us, rather than Everton.I d like to think he would but realistically? No chance
