Agree to that AT l donāt think weāll be hanging around waiting for Cardiff to make a decision and as heās not our player so we need to buy in January (Brannagan), if we finish well player prices will only increase.I'd bet good money that we bring in a CM in January and I'd bet money that it won't be Wintle.
It's true that a lot of whether or not they allow his loan to run its course in January will have to do with the new manager, but even if we were to approach Cardiff to buy on a permanent I can see them wanting upwards of 3,000,000 to 4,000,000 because of how good he has played and the fact that his contract with them is a long one.
I reckon we'll go back in or Brannagan or O'Reilly again.
I'd be talking to Cardiff now before they appoint and get a deal agreed for the 2nd Jan. Keep the new manager out of it.Agree to that AT l donāt think weāll be hanging around waiting for Cardiff to make a decision and as heās not our player so we need to buy in January (Brannagan), if we finish well player prices will only increase.
Are you actually serious ??? Ā£3 to Ā£4million???I'd bet good money that we bring in a CM in January and I'd bet money that it won't be Wintle.

And Cardiff turn round and say we'll wait until the new manager decides what he wants to do.I'd be talking to Cardiff now before they appoint and get a deal agreed for the 2nd Jan. Keep the new manager out of it.
No harm in trying is what I'm saying. It may be successful. And Cardiff turn round and say we'll wait until the new manager decides what he wants to do.
As Poolborn says, the club wonāt make any decision until the new manager has assessed his squad including Wintle. Weāll have to wait and see Iām afraid but l donāt think weāll be hanging around and I wouldnāt be surprised if the Jan window targets havenāt already been identified and discussions started!I'd be talking to Cardiff now before they appoint and get a deal agreed for the 2nd Jan. Keep the new manager out of it.
is it true that McCall has a hotline number to CalderwoodHe's played 9 games for us. 19 points. 2 points from 5 before he arrived!
He and McCall turned our season around!
Well, they won't have to make a decision if nobody asks them to. I'd ask them.As Poolborn says, the club wonāt make any decision until the new manager has assessed his squad including Wintle. Yep no harmWell, they won't have to make a decision if nobody asks them to. I'd ask them.
We could sign him permanently now if we wish to do so !I'd be talking to Cardiff now before they appoint and get a deal agreed for the 2nd Jan. Keep the new manager out of it.
They said that about Embleton! And Gabriel. I'm sure Wintle is worth a fair bit more than 400k tbh, when he has a 3 year contract.Ā£300 to Ā£400k maximum
I suppose when you think Gary GM.is worth Ā£5 million Wintle is probably worth Ā£500kThey said that about Embleton! And Gabriel. I'm sure Wintle is worth a fair bit more than 400k tbh, when he has a 3 year contract.
You're all over the place as usual.I suppose when you think Gary GM.is worth Ā£5 million Wintle is probably worth Ā£500k
Can we? That would be nice.We could sign him permanently now if we wish to do so !
We submitted a bid upwards of 1,200,000 for Brannagan, who is unproven at this level and out of contract soon. Are you actually serious ??? Ā£3 to Ā£4million???
They got him on a free and nobody is paying that money for him or virtually anyone right now in the Championship. Theyād take circa Ā£500,000 happily. I say againā¦ he doesnāt want to be there, he and his girlfriend regretted it almost as soon as they got there. Theyāll sell him for a decent profit and cut their losses.
Yeah, we can , because heās already signed for us, all be it a loan !Can we? That would be nice.
AT l agree that we shouldnāt sit around waiting for Cardiff to make a decision as l canāt see it happening hence the need to look elsewhere, but there is no way Wintle is worth Ā£3-4 million and yes itās ridiculous! We submitted a bid upwards of 1,200,000 for Brannagan, who is unproven at this level and out of contract soon.
Wintle has been brilliant so far in the Championship and absolutely has every quality necessary to becoming a class CM at this level.
Come January he might have very well fallen in love with Blackpool and want to stay, but Cardiff won't care, he's there player and has a contract until 2024, and even if Cardiff might want to cut their losses, they won't do so for cheap because we're a division rival, they will want us to pay a premium that we definitely won't be able to pay.
Do you really think given all of the variables that Cardiff asking for 3,000,000-4,000,000 is that ridiculous?
Didn't know that!Yeah, we can , because heās already signed for us, all be it a loan !
they can ask for it but they certainly won't get it or anywhere near it. Don't really get how you arrived at that figure. We submitted a bid upwards of 1,200,000 for Brannagan, who is unproven at this level and out of contract soon.

You can sign any player at anytime as contracts are not worth the paper they are written on, but thereās always a price to pay! Thatās why so many players still under contract spit their dummies out and sulk like fuck to force a transfer through!Yeah, we can , because heās already signed for us, all be it a loan !
Not outside the transfer windows !You can sign any player at anytime as contracts are not worth the paper they are written on, but thereās always a price to pay! Thatās why so many players still under contract spit their dummies out and sulk like fuck to force a transfer through!
Pretty certain that's Dale you re referring to thereDidn't know that!
Very true Fatboy, forgot myself for a moment thereNot outside the transfer windows !
think you mean fatboyPretty certain that's Dale you re referring to there
I believe has made it be known he won't settle in Cardiff he wants outAnd Cardiff turn round and say we'll wait until the new manager decides what he wants to do.
Start the engineJust thinking. Weāve got a mobile striker whoās rumoured to be worth around Ā£750k when we signed from Blackburn.
Theyāre short of firepower and weāve got too muchā¦.
Nice little swap deal for Nuts?
It's an interesting situation this one. Yes Ā£3-4m is ridiculous but Cardiff owner has admitted that the club needs re-financing and may well be open to offers. Could go either way this one - they might view Ā£500k as a nice profit or they may dig in and see just how far they can push the figure up. Also given his performance levels they may well be competition for his signature. We submitted a bid upwards of 1,200,000 for Brannagan, who is unproven at this level and out of contract soon.

Agree, apart from the last sentence.I'd love it if we were able to land him, but I'm still assuming he'll be going back until I hear different. I've every faith we could bring someone else in who can do what he does. Plus I doubt we'd splash half a million - not sure the resale value is there.
I bet there's a few like Ballard, Embleton and Simms who probably feel the same way. He'll be crushed if he has to go back to Cardiff.
Yes itās absolutely ridiculousWe submitted a bid upwards of 1,200,000 for Brannagan, who is unproven at this level and out of contract soon.

ThisThere is absolutely no basis for thinking Wintle would go for Ā£4m. People would do well to look at how little money has changed hands for Championship signings the last 4 windows, particularly outside the clubs with parachute payments.
Ā£4m is absolute nonsense. He'll go for sub Ā£1m or Cardiff won't let him go at all.
Who Wintle?Anyone who follows his instagram will see he currently has his feet up in Dubai!
