Scott Banks

Another one who likes to make out he is in the know! Was he the one who said Joseph was out for a considerable time with a broken hip? Not saying he was that person, just wondering.
That was me about fractured hip not broken and never said considerable time out.
Came from someone at the club not some bullshit from Twitter why wouldn't I post it on here?
I'm certainly not ITK.👍

Strange for the Bradford fans to be unconvinced by their player of the season. This could be another Owen Dale type signing, or a Bowler. Judging by how highly Palace seem to rate him I’m going to go with the latter.

It was Kirby I think and the consensus on here was that he was the cat's pyjamas! Wonder where he is now.
He was loan I think Green was the last permanent. Also who was the guy that got half way down the M6 and had a change of mind?!

Green was from Hull

The little sh!t who turned around on the M6 was Sammy Igoe. He signed for the bin dippers instead. Sold by Swindon.

No that wasn’t me. I only post genuine info. I revealed that NC was returning for definite before ANYONE else on here. The reason I posted it is because I was told by someone well connected who knew. That’s how it works.

Deal taking longer than expected so probably another club hijacking deal. That or he has failed a medical and will consequently go on to score 20+ for Portsmouth.
Nixon said yesterday that this will be dont in the coming days, also when we signed O'Donnell he had his medical and signed everything but we didn't announce him till the next day. We have zero idea what's happening behind close doors, except that this look very close to being done.

It might be done, just like the O'donnell deal was done but we didn't announce it untill the day after. Just like the Yates and Joseph deals were done, but wasn't announce till the next day. Maybe the media team want time to put together a announcement video, who knows.

Nope he went to Palace after hull then came to us. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stuart_Green

It wasn't Sammy Igoe either it was Tommy Black. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/blackpool-boss-sim-639905

Remember it was pissing it down and we were all on avftt waiting for the fax machine. 🤣

But apart from the you nailed the post..😛

This isn't being done as quickly as I want it too, so therefore it's all fallen apart.

Take a breath, chill out. If it's not done by tomorrow then I'll start to wonder, but it takes time to get the agreement reached with both club and player, get the lad up from London and then his medical done, get the pictures and interviews recorded and edited for the announcement, it's not as simple as some try to make it out to be.

Ah so Kirk should be arriving soon then? And the Oliver Norburn I’ve been watching this pre season is different to the one who went to Bolton? Wind it in

Would Banks be a better signing than Mendes Gomes? Anybody seen them both play? Banks 3 years younger of course.

Banks has only played at L2 level, whereas Gomes has done well in L1. Right now you'd have to say MG is probably the better player. That said, maybe the club think Banks has a higher ceiling and fits more with the style of football we want to play?

I dont think you can say he's the better player just cos he's played a division higher. We'll find out this season if Banks signs for us. But yes the higher ceiling thing may be our reasoning. Evatt has seen a lot of these L1 and L2 players close up so he may be the better judge. How much has Critch or anyone else at Blackpool seen Banks or MG up close? Maybe lots, dunno.

Isn't Mendes Gomes a strictly wide player? Where as Banks can play wide and as a number 10. I might be wrong as I haven't seen that much of him, but if that's the case then having someone who can play multiple roles is usually a better option. Time will tell anyway.

Maybe 'more proven' or 'less of a risk' would have been more accurate.

That was one of the points Bolton fans made, as they were wondering where MG would play, given Evatt doesn't go with wingers.

When is fractured not broken? As someone with a Latin A level (not the only one on this Board), the etymology is from frangere, meaning to break
Fracture break and snap are all interchangeable terms accirding to the consultant at the fracture clinic dealing with my wife's fractured/broken/snapped arm.

Has latin proved useful since you left school? I know algebra & Log tables were a complete and utter waste of time.....
I did Latin too. It's very useful. It teaches you to think about things logically, as it's very structured. It also teaches you to look at things in their entirety rather than making judgement too early, as the order of the words in a sentence is not fixed, so you have to read the whole sentence before you can understand it.
Sometimes it's not about knowing something, it's about knowing how to do something, and applying that elsewhere.
