Send Marv out on loan

..at present …? He was poor most of last season. I just don’t think he’s the right man for the way Critch wants to do things sadly.
 
Maybe alongside Penny would work in a back 4. Penny could be a similar steadying influence to Keogh. Get the best out of Marv.
 
Marv is probably our best defender ,but his distribution is pants and he makes too many mistakes . So when we have possession at the back ,why not get Marv to move to the right or the left temparerally and let someone else move to the middle that is better at distribution , then move back once the midfield or attack have good possession. He would not be under as much pressure then he is at the moment.

You just said it his distribution is pants but the laboured w ay we move the ball and lack of movement midfield doesn't help.

Playing 442 would take a lot of pressure off Marv as he wouldn't be the only main man to take the ball off Grimmy to bring it out. Reduce the bad part of his game and keep what he's very good at. He's too good to discard.

yes, I agree it would relieve a lot of the pressure Marv is under. Will Critchley do it, don't think so. Not yet anyway. And do we have the quality of two wide players in the midfield 4? Again not sure.
