SHEFFIELD UNITED 3-3 BLACKPOOL | 98th minute EQUALISER! | 9 MEN BLACKPOOL ROBBED BY THE REFEREE Where to start? I truly have no words to describe what we just watched. Dom Thomson first booking was for complaining that the referee didn't stop the game for a head injury. I think Big Marv had to go he didn't seem to get a touch on the ball? but for Thomson to go as well for kicking the ball away after he looked like he was pushed over and then pushed over AGAIN it just seemed incredibly harsh.

Sheffield United scored in the 8th minute of extra time after fouling Chris Maxwell pushing him over into the net and then scored as he we getting up with what also looked like 3 men in an offside position? what the heck do these officials not see? I would have taken a point before the game started but how we were basically beaten up by the referee into submission at the end was just horrible to see and seemed incredibly cruel after a heroic battling performance from the 9 men.

How on earth was Lavery shown a red card?

Only 4.30am so quite an early finish on this one

Take a bow Blackpool fans you were magnificent and you all deserved the 3 points you really did

 
What a magnificent performance from those Tangerine Wizards, made great viewing but sadly let down by someone trying to be a referee. It must have been a great day out well done to you all. On to the next game at Bloomers, hopefully we can cobble together a team.

What I did notice for the first time was that prior to Thompson being booked and subsequently sent off, one of their players, was walking side by side with the referee pointing at Thompson and obviously getting in his ear and saying he should be booked. Just another example in the catalogue of incidents / flash points, all created by the incompetence shown by the officials in that 2nd half.

Onwards and upwards…we will come back stronger.
 
Superb vid and what a game,one of the most incredible games Iv been to ,the players were fantastic just a shame the red lost the plot or worse ??? I pray this doesn’t cost us against Hull .

The game was so painful to watch at the end but proud of the team for the way they fought.

Unfortunately guys nothing will be done about the ref, absolute disgrace, on the flip side 🤩 wow just 🤩 wow two down then fight back three two up, missed ( joke) penalty the game had it all, then a dodgy equaliser in ferguson time
if we play like this for the rest of the season who knows 🤞🤞🤞dare to dream a bit

Yes it was an incredible match end to end and you could not keep your eyes off it but the way it all fell apart as we imploded was horrific I can't actually believe we didn't lose because when Dom went off I couldn't see us hanging on with 9 men but to defend like we did it was truly heartbreaking how they got that equaliser especially as the foul on Maxi was as clear as day.

However I think it will be a defining moment for this team if they weren't close knit before (and we know they are) then this will cement that togetherness and desire to right that wrong even more.

We were sick but God knows how they felt at the final whistle it was one hell of a brave performance and they deserved to hold on to that lead IMHO

Yes thats what we are lacking in we don't seem to get the officials on our side or sway them enough.
We need to learn quickly the Watford free kick a prime example of us not being on top of the officials. Why did no one point out to the ref that the foul wasn't there
 
The 9 men that ended the game were absolutely magnificent and should lap up all the credit they receive
Play like that again next Saturday and what a match it will be ( on our part 😀)
If they do I can only see the match ending one way. A real good win to the mighty Seasiders

It wasn't even that he wasn't only going to keep playing but he was also clearly going to give them every decision he could including a penalty that was a clear dive. He literally ignored any contact on a Blackpool player, fouls in the box on every corner and I'm nor sure that every one of those corners (and I lost count of how many they got) was a corner to them?

Yes very much so but we have to learn to be more vocal with officials and more smart. For example a smart player (or should I say a shithousery player) in Dom Thompson's situation when pushed or shoulder barged would have gone down like they were flattened by Mike Tyson possibly even Laying motionless like they were unconscious.
All the Blackpool fans were chanting 'off off off' because we thought the Sheffield United player was going to get sent off and if Dom had have been looking seriously injured he would have been and that would have been 10 v 10 and a completely different game

I was shocked how the ref gave that penalty when A. He was nearly 25 yards away with players inbetween him and the incident. B. The lino was in a far better position to make the decision, and C. How he DIDN'T give the penalty for Connollys brilliant save later in the match was unbelievable!!
Sheff Utd had 14 corners in the match but several of them were clearly off a home player.
The ignorance from the officials was disgusting when any severe challenge on a Blackpool player went unnoticed.

Not only is it frustrating for Blackpool supporters to witness yet another incompetent performance by a referee but also knowing that the EFL will do nothing to rectify the situation.

I feel I actually need to watch the last 30 minutes on TP today if I can put myself through it to try and see if it really was that bad or was it just the never ending pressure that made every corner awarded to them or every foul on us ignored seem so unbelievably unfair.

It was at the time totally indescribable it just defied logic that a referee could give every single decision he made against us literally EVERY SINGLE decision was for Sheffield United apart from the handball? and that handball is making every Sheffield United fan who posts in the comments on my video claim that the referee was diabolical against them (which is winding me up if I'm being honest)

It really feels that way at the moment Paul I know we see things through tangerine tinted spectacles but that last 30 minutes was the worst I've ever seen and I have had a few ref rants these past few years on my videos

I feel the same way and I know I will upset a few on here but I'm falling in love with the way we are playing it feels like Holloway in a way I've not felt since. It's exciting and I love the way that Appleton talks after the games.

I am starting to really like him a lot he is hard as nails and I love that.

Billy Ayre was as hard as nails and I loved him, Sam Ellis too but Holloway played exciting attacking football and had a team that would put bodies, limbs on the line and were together like a band of brothers and I am seeing that emerge before my very eyes and I am loving this so much at the moment
