Shrewsbury v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 02.03.24

Bad - Gabriel dropped, CJ playing, same formation

Good - Lavery fit to start, Rhodes on the bench, Connolly dropped

Anything other than 3pts is season over, if it isn't already.

Morgan, Lyons, Connolly and Kouassi replaced by Coulson, Rhodes, Lavery and Casey.
I presume Morgan is injured.

A win today would mean nine points from the last five games. Not bad considering four of them have been away.
Come on Pool let’s stay in the hunt, and hope we get some joy from teams playing the other play off contenders.

No, but surely Gabriel is better and more effective than cowardly Hamilton. Joseph, however has flopped as he did at Swansea, and is a poor signing.
If the fees rumoured are accurate then that's £1.5m in total for those two benched!
I don't think most reasonable supporters would label Joseph as a flop , certainly not at this stage. Given his bad injury kept him out for 4 months ,it
would be fairer to say the jury is still out . For me there is definite potential there .

As a striker his career record doesn't bode well with a goals ratio of 1 in 5.

Im thinking a one all draw as our consistency is awful no Lawrence-Gabriel is a joke, CJ is a muppet he runs back and forth more Pogba and Man united. #UTMP

He doesn't go hiding either.

Based on the fact we were hopeless at finding the onion bag during the warm up I'm confidently predicting we will stick at least three past them 💪🚀

We and the players need to forget about Tuesday and our general away performances. It’s time to produce, no excuses, get at a vulnerable Shrewsbury side. UTMP!

Agree.. let's hope tinkerman tells them this. Need to go for it and have a quality preformance. Not a let's keep it tight and sneak a goal.

Come on pool do it for them away fans

It really is time this lot started showing that quality away from home now, we've got the quality, let's play some football, we beat these doing so comfortably at home.

Dembele should have shot but bad effort from Lavery and Key should have had more power on his header from the corner, decent start, but can we keep it going?
