We might be unbeaten in 3 League games and have 3 clean sheets but:

We have played some poor teams and gone the last 5 l consecutive halves in the league without scoring!!

Lavery as a sole up front striker is not feasible!!

Beesley is nothing better than a Squad Player.

Joseph we signed as an injured player.

Bread Holmes is inexperienced.

Stop signing midfielders and sign a couple of strikers with physicality to play in Div 1, we have lots of “pretty footballers” in midfield but…..No fit strikers!!

You sold Jerry so you use the cash to buy a replacements for him and Madine. Plus an “Ellis Simms” type loan.

Sell “Back-Pass Dougal” and “Traitor Trybell” if you need to keep the cost/head count down, but stop buying midfielders we have enough!!!

It’s NOT “rocket science” why we are not scoring !

Rant Over!!!! 🚌⛴️🧡

It's a good job this place is here, hopefully the club read it and take note so we can base our entire transfer policy on AVFTT recommendations.
Mate, “most” on here like you & are are fans who care about the club and understand the financial constraints.

We are entitled to vent our frustrations, we cried out for an attacking midfielder last season, didn’t get one and went down.

I did say it was a “rant” and I now feel better having vented my frustration on AVFTT is “Our” out-let and Club customers are allowed to “state the obvious” when the board/management are failing in their recruitment of players in a key position.

We didn’t sell Yates “they did!!!!!

Agree with you, but if the manager plays a negative system with one up front, at home, we won’t score. The manager needs to change tactics, or go.

The problem here is if the defenders he's up against turned up the heat, he'd be toast.
Don’t disagree as I said he’s “inexperienced” and one for the future, but if he “shines” I fear we will soon sell him and buy a crock but to replace him !!!

I agree the system doesn’t work with the limited striking options we have, but I quite like the system we play it’s the missing “striker jig-saw piece” that will fix the problem IMIO 🚌⛴️🧡

They haven't replaced madine or Yates except with Joseph who looks like he could be out for some time if rumours are true. It's not like they haven't had enough time to sort this. The recruitment team need to get a move on 3 league games have gone. No more excuses I for one will be bitterly disappointed if no one comes in this week. We need 2 strikers including at least one big guy to give the defenders something to think about and us another option if we can't play through midfield.

Strikers are the hardest players to sign as everyone is after them. This is why I was gutted about the relegation, not only is this division very difficult to get out of, you also lose the pull of your championship status. It means our scouting system has to up their game and try and unearth a rough diamond that isn't on every other teams radar.

"We" don't own "the company" "They" do....."Maybe" we have a few more joining in the next "2" weeks on "loan" from "Premiership" clubs.

"Fuck" me....3 "games" in and someone suggests he "Goes"...... 🤔
Hope that’s the case but it’s disappointing especially after the “recruitment policy car crash” of last season that we haven’t started the season with whoever may or may not arrive on transfer or loans before the window closes or in the case of loans beyond.

Yes I think the other thread on Critchley out & Dobbie in was nothing short of “ridiculous”.

Colby Bishop anyone ?

I agree on all that, which I why I don’t believe we should have sold Jerry without replacements for him and Madine.
😍🚌🧡

Imagine the state of this place if we’d lost a game or two, or even conceded a goal.

Transfer window still open, still bringing in players and on the lookout for more and people wetting their knickers.
Genuinely embarrassing.
No it’s not, better speaking out when there is a chance of addressing a problem rather than “sweeping it under the carpet” and letting it “bite your arse” in the near future!!!
We should NOT have sold Jerry withot a “match fit” direct replacement.
🚌⛴️🧡

In 2006/07 Grayson's team had amassed 8 points in the first eleven games. That's 8 from a possible 33.
In 2020/21 Critchley's team had 4 points from a possible 21 after seven games.
We have to give it time, albeit the frustrations are reasonable. The criticisms seem valid enough but we have to give the manager more time to work on his ideas...even if we have to grit our teeth in the process.

Sorry, your use of quotation marks makes no sense and is annoying me.

Joseph was fit enough to play a part at Derby and then picked up a knock, it happens. I assume you expected Critchley/Sadler to look into the future and know he was going to pick up that knock and not sell Yates due to this impending injury?

Do you think they do not know this?

Do you think they're not trying to sign forward players?
Like everyone else in this division looking for forwards and probably most in the football pyramid.

I'm sure posters on here think you can magic a 20+ goal Centre forward out of thin air whatever is in the bank.

Hopefully this week as the transfer window starts to close we'll end up with the trickle down effect from the PL.

It is widely believed he was pretty much recovered from a “niggle” when he arrived that would explain why he missed pre-season if true.
He plays against Derby and is immediately again!!!!
You draw your own conclusions !!

He wouldn’t have played in a cup match unless he was fit.

It’s easy to assume that the two are linked but you’re taking that as gospel and using it as a tool to beat Sadler with.

What makes you think they're not already trying as hard as possible?

A young, highly rated player, who managed just shy of 3,000 minutes last season, we could do worse.
I agree as long as he isn’t another crock like we seem to currently “buy in bundles”

I think the more likely scenario is that Bread Holmes, Candy Lyons and Honey Carey tease the opposition, make the hungry and distract them.

But if Hake Beesley gets involved there's something fishy going on.

Tbf Beesley is quite protective of Carey.
That’s food for thought….

Its all a bit premature isnt it ?

The club know what they need Critch has basically said it. The CEO has basically said it. Transfer window hasnt shut.

Not easy to get a direct replacement for Yates as he is worth £4 million quid and we cant pay that.
Well it’s possibly already cost us 4 points in 3 games selling a player still under contract.

We should have paired it with deal for at least a loan before we did !

I said I’d let you form your own conclusion and shared my “thought process” I never said anything about it being “gospel”

I’m not try to beat anyone, especially the custodian of our Club.

However, he needs to fix this one Now!

It’s highly likely it has already cost us 4 points that could be critical at the end of the season.

You’ve claimed we’ve sold Yates whilst replacing him with someone who hasn’t been fit, he clearly was fit enough to feature against Derby. Injuries happen and he’s unfortunately picked up another knock, hardly fair to call him a crock.

The transfer window isn’t shut yet and if history tells you anything, it’s that the further down the pyramid you go, there tends to be a bit more movement the closer you get towards deadline day.

You’re crying about all this as if Sadler etc aren’t trying to sort anything out.

Jerry didn't score for three months after he arrived when we were 16th, this place said he was a waste of money.

Which is kind of my point.

Swansea found it easy enough to sign one.☹️

I get your point pal, mine is more though that our recruitment team failed us last year in the attacking midfielder role,

I’m just trying to be “pro-active” that we don’t do the same this season in the striker role.

As I have said on other posts it possibly already cost us 4 points in 3 games this season. 🚌⛴️🧡

Yep, I know, the trouble is everyone else is after the same thing.

Perhaps Critchley and Sadler have decided they can save money by not buying a striker and instead trying to turn an attack minded midfielder in to a striker. ie Carey, Dale or Apter. He's pretty much tried them all up front. 🙄

Its not catastrophic though is it ? Losing 4 points in 3 games at the start of season.

No guarantees Jerry would have scored if he had played in them anyway.

TBH is not the Jerry replacement we are after as we've got Shayne its the Madine replacement.

Madine is still around at the club ..I saw him signing autographs at the Burton home game.
The 14 shirt has not yet been allocated.
Any thoughts?
How is his fitness progressing?
He would be a cheap forward if fit.
