Simon Sadler : Critch : FFS !!!

We might be unbeaten in 3 League games and have 3 clean sheets but:

We have played some poor teams and gone the last 5 l consecutive halves in the league without scoring!!

Lavery as a sole up front striker is not feasible!!

Beesley is nothing better than a Squad Player.

Joseph we signed as an injured player.

Bread Holmes is inexperienced.

Stop signing midfielders and sign a couple of strikers with physicality to play in Div 1, we have lots of ā€œpretty footballersā€ in midfield butā€¦..No fit strikers!!

You sold Jerry so you use the cash to buy a replacements for him and Madine. Plus an ā€œEllis Simmsā€ type loan.

Sell ā€œBack-Pass Dougalā€ and ā€œTraitor Trybellā€ if you need to keep the cost/head count down, but stop buying midfielders we have enough!!!

Itā€™s NOT ā€œrocket scienceā€ why we are not scoring !

Rant Over!!!! šŸšŒā›“ļøšŸ§”
Jesus Christ. 3 games in.

A fragile time for Critch. Hope he doesnā€™t feel the pressure of this nonsense. We finished 3rd in league one last time after a worse start.

Iā€™d be amazed if thereā€™s another club with a such short sighted, spoilt fan base.

We have some absolute shockers, itā€™s not been a great start to the season but itā€™s a long way off being a disaster.

Even if we were top of the league and winning 5-0 people would then start saying itā€™s a disaster as the pies arenā€™t up to scratch.

I saw big Ishmael Miller at my gym this morning. Im kicking myself now I didnt have a word. Ideal for us.

If Torycorner had posted earlier I would have not procrastinated and would have acted immediately.

Merely trying to prevent last seasons car crash.

We want Sadler to help Critch by buying a player for a position that if not addressed NOW could cost Us/Crirh a promotion. šŸšŒā›“ļøšŸ§”

How do you come to ā€˜poor teamsā€™ after 3 league games ffs. Weā€™ve won 2 (convincingly), been unlucky not to score 3/4 against Port Vale were it not for some poor decisions in the final third and we took a good point away from at Exeter - who will do very well this season.
Stop your whinging. Itā€™s embarrassing. Plenty of teams would take our squad, performances, manager and results right now. Weā€™ve got more to come into the squad and 1 thing we know about Critchley is he improves players with time.

Thereā€™s still 129 points up for grabs. Thereā€™s nothing wrong with a couple of draws to start whilst a new team gels. They will gel, and we will come good. Be patient.

A lot will disagree with this but thereā€™s always the risk of complacency by thrashing teams to start with. Itā€™s unsustainable. Critch has likely got us where he wants us right now - with big things to come.

Norburn actually warned us pre season we will have to be patient. Trust the process.

It's plainly obvious to anyone that we are severely lacking up front whereas we seem to be amassing enough midfielders for three teams?
So, could Critch be working on that?
At the moment, the player(s) who could take over that upfront role are waiting(?) or may still be playing for another club?
We have until the end of this month to pick up an upfront player...could be a loan, could be transfer....?

If on the 2nd of September, nobody has signed....I think we will all kick off, but until then, we aren't getting battered and can only get better.

I can't see anything wrong with what you've said. Whether or not people agree is another matter.
We need improvement from Tuesday without a doubt. I cant watch that type of football week in week out.
However I don't think just buying a striking is the answer.

Do you really think anyone at the club is going to read this thread and suddenly realize what we're missing is a striker?

Do you really think there's anyone on the board who doesn't already think we need to strengthen the forward line?

It was the managers decision to play one up front at home to Port Vale. We had attacking options on the bench and rate him or not, we appeared to have more attacking intent when he came on.
Saturday will be the fifth game in 15 days, the only other available striker missed the whole of last season injured, Weir is new to the club, and it's debatable whether Dale would've done any better than Carey.

The manager didn't have that many options.

Debate if Dale would've done any better than Carey ? He'd have to go some to be any worse. I really don't get how people have come to rate Carey, I've seen next to nothing on match days to fill me with any confidence that he is a player.

Sorry, your use of quotation marks makes no sense and is annoying me.

Joseph was fit enough to play a part at Derby and then picked up a knock, it happens. I assume you expected Critchley/Sadler to look into the future and know he was going to pick up that knock and not sell Yates due to this impending injury?
To be fair he came injured and after playing 30mins he's injured again
If it's the same injury we were on notice of the issue
To be fair I still think it's a great signing and far preferable to selling Yates and trying to recruit - however that only works if we have a realistic expectation of him being fit for the start of the season
At the moment we are toothless going forward

How can you be unlucky not to score 3/4 when you haven't had one shot on target in the second half šŸ˜‰

To be honest you could say the same of Virtue, Dougall or Carey so far this season..the only bright spot has been Norburn although Morgan has done well in patches

Won't be fit until next year, ie January rather than next season.
Whereā€™s that been said?

I think Port Vale were the ones unlucky not to score tbh

I have to say the bleating is becoming pretty tiresome considering we are three league games in to a forty six game season. Port Vale after shipping 7 goals in their first game were always going to come to defend, ok, we weren't good enough to break it down or the tactics we employed failed, but the over reaction is nothing short of incredible.
Barnsley, who beat Port Vale in that opening game then got done 1-3 by Peterborough in their next home game? It's early days, let's give it a bit of a chance. We are short up front, everyone knows that, including, I'm sure, the club.

Of course the knives are out for Critchley already in some quarters, they were always going to be, the first stumble and they're on him like a pack of rabid dogs, God help him if we actually lose a game.

Perhaps, just perhaps, as supporters, we should do just that for a while, you never know, the players might actually appreciate it. There may be a time for moaning, groaning and gnashing of teeth, but surely it's not yet.

Weā€™ve won one league game, Derby was a cup game. Donā€™t twist the facts to suit your agenda.

Thereā€™s still 129 points up for grabs. That was the attitude of a lot on here last season, see where we are after 10 games, see where we are at the World Cup break, see where we are at Christmas, see where we are after the January window. See where we where at the end of the season, that went well.

But we donā€™t know if it is a recurrence of the same injury so to claim we have signed someone whoā€™s already injured kind of becomes irrelevant if itā€™s a separate issue as knocks are part and parcel of the game.

We have looked incredibly poor going forward recently, but itā€™s early doors and way too soon to be hitting the panic button.

You said we have won 2 league games out of 3. Or at least intimidated so.
Bloody hell. I referenced the two games we drew so Iā€™m not sure how I can be accused of glossing over it. Either way my point stands and itā€™s factual. Weā€™ve played 3 league games. Won 1 comfortably, took a point and a clean sheet away at Exeter which I would guess a lot of teams wonā€™t do this season and we were unlucky not to beat Port Vale despite not being at the races for much of the game. We also embarrassed the title favourites away from home in a cup game. Weā€™re unbeaten and have not conceded yet. Itā€™s a decent start. Calling opposition teams poor seems a bit premature. QPR looked to be on course for the Championship title this time last season and we didnā€™t look too shabby ourselves. Make those judgements 10+ games in.

Thatā€™s why you should read whole posts and attempt to understand context instead of getting hung up on parts of sentences.
