Simon Sadler will be gutted

He’s a Blackpool fan .

He will feel exactly the same pain as we do.

He will be wracked with “what if’s.” He knows mistakes have been made .

He’s a genuine passionate owner who wants what’s best for the club.

Comments on other threads suggesting what’s happened is unforgiveable is a complete overreaction . He still has lots of credit in my view for what he’s done for the club so far .

Clubs get relegated. It happens it’s not the end of the world but at least we have someone who will be desperate to put it right.

You could see his pain at the end of the game

Now is the time to stick together to get our great club back on track .

He has done so much good for the club but to find ourselves in this position is in my opinion unforgivable.

Yes relegation happens but ours seems to be self inflicted by really poor management decisions.

I still find his early comments about Appleton and us trusting his judgement as custodian of the club a real Gerald Ratner moment. That statement must haunt him.

I don't think I can ever remember him at a game until he bought the club

He's only a few years older than me and I've been home and away for nearly 40 years

Just saying ..

Being charitable he's had to run to stay still with what he inherited.

But we are back to where we were when he took over, the only difference being we have a carpet of a pitch, electric advertising holdings, lots of additional ways to extract money from the supporters, sponsorship of everything possible and new portacabins at Squires Gate.

Oh and it's £30 for my ticket.

The appointment of MA wasn’t what we needed, but let’s be clear, it was the appointment of MM that killed us. The guy had 19 games I think and he buried us. With the type of players we had, MM was never the right choice. It’s difficult to fathom the thought process of those involved in the decision making. Naive and amateur in terms of understanding the game, where we were and what we needed.

Simon is I’m sure a proud man and a very successful businessman. He will have learned much and if he genuinely wants to keep the club, he needs to hold his hands up. He also needs to get rid of BM. At that point the blame game stops and we start to look forward. It’s important that happens quickly.

We’ve been in much worse situations and we’ve got to learn as a club and look forward. What hurts the most is that I feel we had a good enough squad, even with the injuries. We’ve just had the wrong people in post. It’s history now.

My professional contacts have all said to a man.....they (BFC) are only interested in extracting money

Agreed -full of flair players and yet we went proper defensive - not playing our best players - MM was awful and getting that appointment so wrong sent us down for sure . This stops at the board

Yeah coz you were really swinging with him in Hong Kong. Why in Christ’s name would you clock him at games? To be a real fan do people have to check in on a register, unless you are on one of your flounces?

The selling gossip has been on here for weeks if not months.

Charlie could just be repeating hearsay. I can't believe if he's talked to Simon, and Simon's actually said it, that he would then go on national TV and repeat it. Unless he's been given the ok to do so.

He should be

But the way we have been sleepwalking into league one from December makes me think maybe the championship was too rich for our boards taste and the club would be better out of it
The owner has a lot of decisions to make and he needs to get them right this time
I totally agree, I think like the Oystons division 1 is Sadlers comfort zone

Well losing the circa £4.5m a season extra will be gutting for him being a money making businessman. Employing his clueless mates to run things so badly I hope hurts him as much as it does us lifelong fans.

How we aim to put it right will tell us about the clubs ambition.

We are also back to where we were when the Oystons took over and relinquished the club! 🤦

Exactly this, everyone’s a friggin expert who expected us to be in the promotion spots now
Good luck for next season simon utp!!!

We’re all gutted — another regulation relegation — PLUS we will finish bottom

Not really, only in the same league, the club has advanced in so many ways in almost every area.
Love your optimism! Same training ground as what Stanley Matthews used. Expensive ticket prices, cheap managerial appointments, players like Colby Bishop and Brannagan in lower leagues spurning us! 🤦

Totally agree with this. Mistakes have been made but havent we all made mistakes when taking on a new challenge? As long as we learn. We get some things right too.
As for Mansford, same applies but maybe he has made one too many mistakes now and a change is probably needed, but I am speculating as I dont know what happens behind the scenes.

As for the he cant afford a football club crowd, who on earth can afford to pump £15m a year into a club just to tread water in the championship? And thats not taking into account the off field stuff that needs investment as well. Please post your list of Arab or post-Soviet shitbag billionaires who want to invest in a club theyve never heard of. Or maybe the bloke who owns Terrys Carpets will bankroll us, not sure if he supports his local club (fairly certain he at least has a soft spot for us)

We are all pissed off, but this is a great club and as proven tonight, with great fans.

We are unique, we are who we are. UTMP

It's not optimism it's reality.

It's nothing like the past.

Mistakes have been made but the owner cares and wants the best for the club.

We've signed players for fees we've had no intention of going near under Oyston.

The pitch is night and day.

The stadium much improved.

The TG is in the pipeline but costs due to world events have soared so needs to be done for less.

Squires Gate has massively improved and money spent.

The stadium has made loads of little improvements.

Yes prices need to be far better and managers picked have been shocking, but we can't compare to the past.

Behave. I bet you believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy too!

Nothing is MUCH improved.

We are the first relegated team and there are other teams who have had points deducted. The training ground has been shelved! The stadium is 20+ years old. The "temporary stand" is 13 years old and due to be closed soon. The new stand hasn't got planning permission.

It is much like the past. Poor appointments, not listening to fan's concerns, pathetic on pitch performances due to lack of investment when More income has been available. An owner that isn't in tune with what is obvious to the whole fanbase. 🤦

Hang on... sorry but I was actually at the game. Are you saying that CA said that Sadler is considering selling the club?

They were doing a post Mortem on the pitch and one of the things Charlie said was that there were rumours Sadler wanted to sell the club.

I actually think this is a pivotal moment in the clubs history. SS has had 4 years finding his feet, he’s living here now and I hope he will have learnt a lot in those 4 years. We will know before a ball is kicked next season anyway and let’s hope it’s a really positive summer.

Gutted? He should hang his head in shame. I said it from the start and you all said otherwise.
