Simple Yes or No, Give Dobbie the job now?

Give the job to a guy who has little or no experience? One of the criticisms of Critchley is that he is a youth team coach. But one with far more experience and trophies than Dobbie. Critchley also has a couple of hundred league games under his belt.
It's naive thinking bordering on insanity to think that Dobbie would do a better job based on a few games when we were already relegated. No way. Delusional thinking

No. We need to give stability more of a chance. We are very inconsistent, yes. But we’ve had some great wins and performances mixed in with the disappointments.
Look at where we were with Appleton and McCarthy and let’s count our blessings and be patient. Be careful what you wish for.

Because, once again it has been proven that the majority of people who voted on this board did NOT want Critchley sacking , someone has had the idea to rephrase the question and try and tug at the heart strings of supporters.

Whilst I am an admirer of Dobbie and was pleased he showed what he was made of in the few games he managed at the end of last season, I would agree wholeheartedly that it is the wrong time for both BFC and also for Dobbie.

NO,No,No.

If Dobbie himself truly felt he was primed and ready, He'd have been angry at not getting the job, and been snapped up in the summer elsewhere.

Let Dobbie grow into a fully fledged manager, let him build his network, develop his Coaching and managerial knowledge.
Last thing I want is for Dobbie to come in and not do well.

Yes. I'd even have big Mick back if meant an end to this 3-5-2 nonsense. Sleep walking to mediocrity as it stands.

Cut this bullshit and play Ekpiteta and Casey/Pennington as centre halves and let's start giving ourselves our chance.

What experience did Neil have before coming to us? We was on the crest of a wave when he joined it was perfect timing for him but he’s shown what a bad manager he is in his last two jobs and this one he is what you say a kids coach.

As opposed to sleep walking to relegation like last season.

Whilst you're at it, why don't you compare it with our relegation from the Premier League? Thank god we are mid table in League as it could be worse and we could be in a relegation scrap in the premier league.

I was a firm believer in giving Dobs the job in the summer purely on the improved performances for those few weeks versus the shower of shite we were served by Apples and McDino. I truly believed that if he was given a full pre season and a bit of a budget then we would be really competitive this season.

However, we are where we are. Critch ain’t done too badly this season being 8th and deserves longer. He does need to start thinking more linear and get his basics correct though.

He was a coach at Villa, so not on Critchley and had about 10 games at the poisoned chalice of QPR.
In the Blackpool job, where he was manager and given the time he needs, he got promoted in season one and survived comfortably in the Championship in season 2. He is a good coach. What evidence is there that Dobbie would be better? There is none whatsoever. It's just a mixture of sentimental thinking, wishful thinking and bitterness towards Critchley that drives this Dobbie lobby. Business decisions based on sentiment are almost bound to fail. Saddler got independent consultants in when appointing Critchley, they recommended him, I'm sure Saddler would have wanted somebody else given what happened - but business is business. Appointing Critchley was the correct and professional decision. No way should he be ditched on the back of a disappointing result. Thank god we have a business man in charge of the club and not some sentimental fans. We'd be sacking the manager every few weeks!

100% NO, Critch is coaching the players to work in the new system. Give him time and i believe it will all work out. Yes we have had some poor performances, but we have also had some great performances. The players are getting more comfortable in their roles. I believe we will be in the play offs in May, just let it build. Nobody delivers immediate success and then sustains it, it takes time to build the foundations to build the empire.

That’s the last thing we need…

There can be absolutely no compromise (like last time) and we must stick with the 3-5-2 system come what may.

It will pay dividends in the end…

Yes, let's stick with it. One day we will compete against the likes of Wycombe, Lincoln, Cambridge etc away from home.

No,

One - This is Critchleys team, give him the season and he can stand or fall by their performance

Two - if he then fails then show some imagination and look for a young coach who has had to finish early and thus is his thirties with considerable experience. Not a bloke who had a good career and is therefore just learning the trade
