Simple Yes or No, Give Dobbie the job now?

No. Crichley hasn’t actually done THAT bad and to call for him to be sacked is ridiculous. To think we would walk this division with this squad is borderline delusional.

That’s a big statement .

On what basis do you say Dobbie would get us promoted Enzo ?
Because we actually have a decent squad but it’s currently being held back. Did you not enjoy the football more when Dobbie was in charge? I know I did we actually went out to attack teams not just set up for a draw or narrow win he should of been appointed in the summer I’m convinced we’d be higher up the league now

We would be. I think we would with Big Mick as well. Basically anyone who doesn't play 3-5-2...

Don't know. But this season so far has been hugely disappointing. Not necessarily the results either but more so the style of football. It's just not great.

We don't know how to win matches ugly. Sometimes need to nick a 1-0 away from home to supplement the home results. We just seem incapable. It's like all or nothing and that will never win you promotion.

Yes I did enjoy watching the football more under Dobbie but im not sure he would get us promoted from our current position.

There's nothing tangible which suggests he could do that. No track record etc. I like him and I think he would do a decent job but promotion is another matter.

No, we need stability and to progress on and off the pitch. If we did get promotion this season I would take it but tbh we need to improve the squad and get the infrastructure in place to be a Championship club. Dobbie is playing an important part in that with the Development squad.

Nothing wrong with everyone expressing opinions and we are all right, but i think people want Dobbie because basically he had nothing to lose when he took over and we just went gung -ho every game because we needed to win and people are living on the little bit of success that he had hence thinking he is the answer to any problems.
I am quite happy to see that most people on this thread want Critchley to stay because as much as people scream/shout/cry/have sleepless nights he ain't going anywhere

We need to go gung ho now or else we are going to finish mid table and be stuck in this awful division for another season

Wrong time for Dobbs & BFC.
I don't like many things about the setup under Critchley & the way he isolates some players (or his LFC fist pumps).
Either we quickly bring in a decent & experienced number two (akin to Gary Bowyer) to replace the two he brought with him, or if he's against that, we replace him.
Purely my opinion & I fully respect that SS is running the club and all decisions sit with him.

So your saying through everything at it now with only half a season gone, that's a little OTT

I didn't like losing 50% of games, which would not see us promoted.

You would think by now that our fans might have learned from our own history.

Using the anti-Critchley camp logic, Grayson would have been out of a job around September or so of 2006. McMahon would have been out by Christmas in our promotion season under him.

There is still over half a season to go. Hell, the table will look a lot different in a fortnight, let alone anything else. And are people seriously advocating a change of manager on the eve of a transfer window that we have presumably been preparing for for months?

No from me, give the fella until the end of the season, do a full review and make the call in April.
Why give him until the end of the season? Sadler should know exactly who he’s got and what’s missing by now. If we don’t get in the play offs this season is another costly failure. End of Christmas I’d be reviewing the situation

No, Critch needs a transfer window to strengthen the team and move on the players who want to leave. When we got promoted last time
we added Stewart, Simms, and Embleton in January and we need to do the same again with new players.

Because my fellow Seasider we should give him the opportunity of the January window to put things right, the guy has been successful for us before and I believe can be again given the funding and time to put things right.

For the record I believe Critch is more of a coach than a manager, if he had a strong number two who had good man managing abilities we'd a have an ideal partnership at the helm.

No. Though I feel we should be doing better now is not the time especially given he has the Jan window and the backroom team will be preparing to improve on what we have. Just like last time with Simms and Embleton though Im not expecting the same result this season.

He’s been backed already so the question is does Critchley get the best from the players he has? Which by the way should be suffice to get us out if this division? I don’t think he has.

It would be very poor just turning on the manager in the middle of his first season back. People need longer, much longer. And I'm saying that having gone to Cambridge!
Look, he frustrates the life out of me with some of his decisions and his tactics but he's the man in the seat and we have to give him some slack. Changing managers every few months is never a recipe for success.

The biggest problems this season have been team selections more than the formation or style.
Connolly and Carey have played too often, Hamilton always starts I'm not sure that he should.
Morgan, Casey and Ekpiteta have been left out too often, Joseph should have been in a position a few weeks ago where he could start some games but it hasn't happened.
No need to panic play off places still a possibility but I don't know why some people think we should automatically bounce back into the championship, teams like Sunderland, Forest and Sheffield Wednesday were in this division for years, be patient, chopping and changing coaches on a regular basis rarely pays off.
