Simple Yes or No, Give Dobbie the job now?

The biggest problems this season have been team selections more than the formation or style.
Connolly and Carey have played too often, Hamilton always starts I'm not sure that he should.
Morgan, Casey and Ekpiteta have been left out too often, Joseph should have been in a position a few weeks ago where he could start some games but it hasn't happened.
No need to panic play off places still a possibility but I don't know why some people think we should automatically bounce back into the championship, teams like Sunderland, Forest and Sheffield Wednesday were in this division for years, be patient, chopping and changing coaches on a regular basis rarely pays off.
Exactly, this is why it is so important we go up first time as I've been saying until I'm blue in the face. We simply don't have time to waste on any Critchley masterplan to work. This season we need to gamble to get back up and if it doesn't pay off at least we tried. We will indeed be stuck here for years if it doesn't happen now.

Why will we be stuck for years. We might go up this season we might not. I can say that at the start of every season.
If we finish mid table or below maybe we need to ditch the Critch but if we fall just short of the top 6 or get into the play offs and don't win them then he should probably start next season.

You've just denied the very evidence you posted. Our best chance of going up is now and we should throw everything we have at achieving that.

I haven't, I said he doesn't get everything right but now isn't the time to change him.

If Critchley had been appointed for next then yes I'd say give him time. This season we don't have time and must throw everything at promotion which I think SS has done bar ditching Critchley, it's worth the gamble this season.

Given that Dobbie never actually signed for us, maybe he can come in as a loan manager for a month?
So what are you saying, exactly? 'A loan manager for a month', as opposed to, 'an accompanied manager' for a period of similar duration? Can't say I'd be too sure how Dobbie would take to that ...

No. We need to give stability more of a chance. We are very inconsistent, yes. But we’ve had some great wins and performances mixed in with the disappointments.
Look at where we were with Appleton and McCarthy and let’s count our blessings and be patient. Be careful what you wish for.
Absolutely spot on.

It’s a no from me. We can’t keep sacking Managers and starting again! Managers need time and it’s not as if every game has been a shit show - some decent performances TBF

Don't know. But this season so far has been hugely disappointing. Not necessarily the results either but more so the style of football. It's just not great.
In addition to which, and perhaps I'm speaking personally here, but, further to Macseasider's criticism that the 'style of football' is 'just not great', are there perhaps others out there who actually find that the style of play also tends to - for wont of a better word - grate?

He’s been backed already so the question is does Critchley get the best from the players he has? Which by the way should be suffice to get us out if this division? I don’t think he has.
But he must have done previously with us so has he all of a sudden gone crap?

No, I admit I'm not exactly his number one fan either but I feel he should be given the opportunity until the end of the season and then review it.

We cannot go on potting manager after manager, Critch has got us to the Championship before so give him until May.

I understand what you are saying but I think a failure to at least make the play offs will be very costly for us. Too many managers with much better pedigrees than Critchley don’t replicate prior success.

Think we need to see what happens between now and 1st Jan.

We’ve got 3 games. If we get nothing out of them the club have a decision to make imo with either strengthening the backroom staff or changing manager.

The players are good enough for promotion .
