I’ve been known for the odd reactionary post on here so thought I’d sleep on yesterday’s result.

Bitterly disappointed. I wouldn’t say the season is over but the fat lady is definitely on stage, cleared her throat and stepped up to the mic.

My dislike for Critchley is know. Most on here think it’s over a flag and walking out on us, but you couldn’t be further from the truth. I just think he’s lost his mojo and we’re pretty boring to watch, even when we win.

Where is the excitement? The attacking intent? The bravery?

I’m past saying “Critchley Out” cos there’s no point. Simon Sadler has made it clear he’s going nowhere. There was still a hangover from last seasons miserable campaign. I genuinely think the players forgot how to win games, hence the 0-0 safety first snore fests at the start of the season.

Summer will be very important regarding recruitment. I genuinely think we’re close to being a good team. Shift some of the deadwood out (CONNOLLY) and get a bit of creativity and steel/shithousery in and we’ll make the playoffs next season

With Critchley in charge? I don't think so. I am dreading another Critchley transfer window.

This season hasn’t been a disaster, we’ve done well at home and at times been good to watch. The main problem for me is this rigid formation, yesterday it looked like Wigan had found us out from the off, so the result is inevitable. We do not have a plan B away from 3-5-2, if we’re struggling at the start of the game then we’ll be struggling at the end. We play the same brand of football no matter if there’s 5 mins left on the clock, we’re ahead, we’re behind, it’s just pure naivety and cost us far too many points this year.

And our away form?? It’s poor because we do not learn from our mistakes, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again, expecting a different result. At what point do you address it Critch? Unlike most of the board I think he’s a good coach and would like him to stay, but only if he has a look at the foundation of his playing style and adapts

Critchley could cure cancer, solve the worlds problems and feed the world.

…and you would still hate him.

Even if he does get us up again you will still hate him.

Yesterday, and many other away games this season have been dire - granted!

…but you have an obsession here that is actually unhealthy - have you considered counselling???

😉

He isn't a good coach at this level. More players have regressed under his coaching than have progressed.
Young players like Apter and Moore have got more out of their loans than they ever would under Clueless.

I don’t know what length of contract CC is on, but our highest earner ain't going to jump ship because no fecker else will pay anywhere near what he is getting.

When we sneak into the play-offs on the last day of the season with a win against Reading, beat Peterborough in the semi-finals before victory

against Bolton at Wembley.

Then I expect you to change your mind about Critch, and issue an apology. :)
You have more chance of shagging kate middleton

Woke up this morning feeling ambivalent,
Because what we think will be irrelevant,
Critch has his ipad out and he likes what he's seen,
- oh yeah.
Something tells me he's been scrolling the Oak Furnitureland catalogue and has found just the right anniversary gift for Janine 👍

I don't hate him, I just think he's not for us and he is sooooooo dull. I'll never change my mind. I wouldn't get rid of him now, we could still make the play offs but if we don't I, personally would get rid of him but Sadler won't, he will be with us at least until November if not longer.

I'll be at the games but I won't change my mind about him even though I hope he does it.

I was just imagining @hertfordseasider singing that to himself every morning. Well unless we’ve won…and then its

Woke up this morning feeling moderately OK
Maybe Critchley ought to Stay
Sadler is fine and I might not be killed in a massive flood (oh yeah)
Maybe the Boswells are simply misunderstood
Woke up this morning, always a good sign
Scratch my balls and hope the sun will shine
Critchleys not slept he's been analysing (oh yeah)
Something tells me nothings going to change anytime!

What has he actually done to keep justifying this label?
He’s improved a lot of our players and stabilised the club after a disastrous season, out of the relegated sides we’ve done the best and we don’t look a million miles off being a promotion side. I agree with all the comments about his formation and the style of play, but I also think we are only a few players/tactical changes away from being a top 3 team in this league.

I was in full agreement until I read your last sentence. With Critchley in charge, as Sadler has said he will be, no matter who we sign it will be more of the same boring shite.

Danny Ocean?

That scenario now lies on the sea bed.

‘Yesterday, and many other away games this season have been dire’.
I think that is exactly his point

By sound of it, you haven't woke up yet.

This season with Critchley in charge has been a recurring nightmare.
I mean, I can’t stand the fella but we are only 3 points off the play offs so it’s clearly not been AWFUL.

It’ll be a season of underachievement if we don’t make the top 6 yet. 7 games left. I personally don’t think we’ll do it, more due to the fact Lincoln are unstoppable at the minute, than us being as fragile as Kevin Stewart’s hamstrings away from home

Probably, just trying to post objectively so I don’t get accused of having an anti-Critchley agenda…which I do

Facts to counter the delusional posts on here
Critch is the most successful modern day manager excepting Allardyce in terms of win ratio.

That is just factual information.
As seasideone states some of the hatred on here is verging on obsession.

Can the Critchley critics tell us which of the last five managers they would prefer to Critchley;

McPhillips
Grayson
Appleton
McCarthy
Dobbie

Critchley better than any of them.
Before the frothers start, Dobbie is a less successful youth coach than Critchley who has no senior promotions under his belt and no sustained experience at senior level.

As for Critchley being boring, he is far, far better than any of the above in terms of entertainment IMO. Getting beaten regularly is boring imo. And that is what the last 5 served up.

The hatred is borderline delusional and rather pathetic. Personalised smears about his personality or manners of speaking are pathetic and juvenile and represent a lynch mob mentality. No one knows what sort of man he is. But when the players speak they usually have only positive things to say.
Look at the facts, we will not win every game, we never have.
Grow a pair and support your team. I have endured far worse in the last 45 years.

They will only have positive things to say. Anyone who wants to play regularly ain’t gonna slag off the gaffer.

Assuming you don't know him and have never met him, Why 'can't you stand the fella'?

Thats a bit like saying would you rather be stabbed or shot. I wouldn’t want any of them, just like I didn’t and don’t, want Critchley.

Okay so by your refusal to answer a straight question, can we assume that you think Critchley is the best coach that Saddler has appointed so far?

Yet you want him sacked

I answered the question, I said I wouldn’t want any of them, how is that a refusal to answer 🤷. I think Sadlers managerial appointments have been very poor, including Critchley. You obviously think he’s doing a good job, thats your opinion. I think he is doing a piss poor job , thats my opinion. But how you can say I didn’t answer the question is beyond me.

He has the highest win ratio in modern times apart from Allardyce. That isn't 'piss poor' by any measure if your intention is to win football matches.
He has one promotion, one consolidation at a higher level with low resource and one season where we are on the fringe of the playoffs. Again that is not 'piss poor' by any reasonable yard stick.

Which coaches should Saddler have appointed?

We can all have opinions but perhaps opinions based on fact should have a higher value than those based on what looks like prejudice.

So you are saying that Saddler should not have appointed Critchley in the first place? He got a promotion in his first season!
