So to Saturday's Fixtures

Since I started doing these little updates on the next set of fixtures, it's interesting (potentially) how many sides we've lost along the way!

Fleetwood, Oxford, Crewe, Accrington and I'd even say Doncaster and Gillingham will now struggle to get in the Top Six and so for me the Top 3 are practically sorted and then it's three from five for the remaining Play Off Places between Pompey, Us, Lincoln, Ipswich and Charlton.
However, my caveat to the Top Three is, as long as we continue to win, one set of fixtures where any of the Top 3 lose would change things week to week.

Anyhow, here are the fixtures:

Ipswich Town v Milton Keynes Dons
Lincoln City v Blackpool
Plymouth Argyle v Hull City
Portsmouth v Burton Albion
Sunderland v Charlton Athletic
Swindon Town v Peterborough United

So support firmly behind Plymouth, Charlton and Swindon!!

Interesting test of the Top 3 for me this weekend. Hull are marching to promotion and Plymouth away is never easy. Charlton will know they have to go to Sunderland to get something and will throw the kitchen sink at it and Swindon have to get points at the other end of the table. I still wonder if there'll be that one set of results which will throw the top two places wide open again?

And Burton.

Other results matter not one jot if we don't win. Lincoln away is probably the toughest fixture for all the sides battling for promotion/play offs (going off the table, not Lincoln's C19 issues).

It is a big one this because IF we can get a result we then face a completely out of sorts Accrington side at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday night when Posh and Hull don't play .. I just wonder if they have a hiccup at the weekend if we can get that gap down to 4/5 points #itaintovertillthefatladysings

Funny how at the start of the season I would have no idea of who everyone else was playing. Because we're involved, the last month of the season its suddenly crucial to know everyone else's fixtures.

I wouldn't mind but my football predictions are rubbish, so why I can suddenly predict 9 sets of a full league programme is strange 😉

Reflecting that Wizz, opening day of the season Posh lost at Accy and Sunderland only drew at home to Bristol Rovers!
You also forget opening day was September 12th! No wonder this season has felt frenetic!

Since their 7-0 tanking, Accy have won and drawn. Not so easy, but worry about that game after Lincoln.

Here are the results according to Mystic Mug.

I think Ipswich will win;
Blackpool will win;
Plymouth? could beat Hull or draw;
Portsmouth? likewise, I'll go for a draw;
Sunderland draw, They seem to be the specialists for draws at home;
Peterborough win.
