So we are close

The delay could be lots of reasons; dealing with the admins at Derby at such a busy time for them, waiting on our media team doing their stuff or wanting to choose a date that suits LR. I'm sure he'll not want to snake off from Derby and want to do the right thing by Rooney, the other coaches and players.
Delay down to Rosenior wanting to tell Rooney that he is officially off

Derbyshire Telegraph is running a story. Says Rosenior will take up the manager position at Blackpool but wants to speak to Rooney first. Sorry I don't do links but I'm sure someone will.

Seems a classy guy, so it's the natural thing to do for him, not wanting Rooney to read some press statement that he's left.

No disrespect to Derby but the managers job at Blackpool is currently a better option for any aspiring manager.

Everything at Blackpool is currently positive not so at Derby.

Feel sorry for their fans- a decent lot.
Definitely not disrespectful, most head coach roles are a more lucrative option than being the assistant regardless of the club. That is why Critchley leaving to be assistant at Villa from being a head coach in the Championship is bizarre.

Most Derby fan reactions I've seen are positive wishing him well, how its a big loss for them but a great step for his career to show what he can do. They seem a classy lot!

Or maybe Rosenior is poaching a back room coach from derby to be his number 2. maybe needs to say to Wayne " sorry mate I've taken the Job at Blackpool" oh and I'm taking ( coach) with me too, to be my No2.. sorry!!
