Some great lines from Joe Hart

“I did Blackpool at the end of the season, I met them (the squad) on the M6. I had a great time there," Hart told the In the stiffs podcast.

“Not the greatest of training grounds and there was an agreement for my development to train at Man City until Friday and then train with them on a Friday.

“I loved it, I literally jumped on the coach which was funny. I had no tracksuit so I got battered because I didn’t know what to wear so someone said just wear your Man City tracksuit.

“So I’m sat in the services, I see some Blackpool lads and they didn’t know who I was so I introduced myself and they didn’t even know their goalie was injured.

Remember being at Huddersfield and thinking he was an apprentice warming up our main goalie. You could tell from the start he was nailed on for a great career.

Remember him being a class above when he was here. Fell off an absolute cliff around 14/15.

At Hudders he thought all the noise being made was from the home fans until he came out and saw a sea of tangerine, noisy lot as usual and somethings never change!

I rang a mate from the stand to find out who he was. He made a save in front of the away fans from an Andy Booth header, Booth turned away to celebrate, couldn’t believe hart kept it out. Quality.

I was at Huddersfiels and I remember he went to every Blackpool player and shook their hands, he was superb that day too and in the other 4 games. We have Grimshaw now who I think will be just as good.

I was 12 then and he signed something for me and took a good few minutes to chat with me too. Forgot about that to be fair, he was sound.

Joe Hart in those few games made a huge difference to us that end of season at a crucial time and that display at Huddersfield was just what the doctor ordered.
Had no doubt having seen those few performances for us he was destined to be a great keeper which he turned out to be.

Could tell just watching his handling in the warm-up at Huddersfield that he was different class, find his dramatic decline quite sad really.

We also went to Uddersfield , we said ' Who is this goalkeeper ' - after 5 minutes or so , Hart made an amazing reflex save , I think from a header from acorner and we all said 'Wow / OMG ' and the like.
