Absolutely disgusted at the fan in the north stand who spat at their keeper. Yes he was an annoying shit and playing the typical away goalie pantomime villain but spitting in his face was downright vile.
Not often I say this but hope the club has cctv and bans the alleged fan. I bet hes the sort who spits on his partner during an argument.

Yes I saw that and was disgusted. What do people expect of opposing teams defending a lead its called proffessionalism and our own players would do exactly the same if the situation was reversed. We have some spoilt entitled brattish fans at the moment and one day its going to cost the club.
 
No matter what the keeper was doing . For one of our fans to spit in his face is cowardly and discusting . (Not to mention potential corona virus issues ) I hope the club have him on camera . Unfortunately this type of behaviour is becoming the norm for a small section of our fans.
 
Disgusting creature hope he gets a life time ban.
I also believe someone was at it again throwing coins or was it a lighter?
What is it with these morons do they want our club to get a ban or docked points?

Have no reason to doubt the o/p and backs up my post from a couple of weeks ago about having some horrible fans at the moment.

The little shit needs outing, as that behaviour is beyond defensible. It's rather sad as I have witnessed most of these kids are egged on by middle aged men.
 
Heneghan went over and tried to peace make but the Tranmere players were fuming and brushed him off and one of them was holding something up which from the other end looked more like a lighter or something than a coin from the way he was waving it.
 
Time action was taken, the atmosphere created by the north is fantastic and mustn’t be stopped, but these few idiots have to be banned and quickly.
 
Agreed, our club has an excellent reputation for having a passionate fan base who are loud and generate a great atmosphere in the stadium supporting the team, but this sort of behavour is unacceptable and gives us a bad name, they need identifying and given long bans, we need to send a message out that it won't be tolerated.

I saw a coin thrown on the pitch from the north and also a steward being punched for some reason. The passion of the fans is not in question but the behaviour of a certain element needs to be stopped as it’s becoming all to regular.
 
I am utterly ashamed that one of ours has done this. I am all for giving the keeperabit of banter, but spitting on him is disgusting. A three year ban may make the guy think on future conduct

Agree mostly. I think a life time ban is a bit OTT. I think for a first offence (if that is the case) then three years ban would suffice and hopefully the moron in question would pearn that the love for his club is of more value than showing off with acts of thuggery
 
The sooner the club gets a grip and stamps out this sort of behaviour the better, and a very hard message needs to be sent out to this idiotic minority by finding the culprits snd issuing 3 year banning orders. The vast majority of our passionate fan base should not be tarnished any further by these idiots, and that’s me being polite 👎

Given that antics like this have been going on for 12 months now (since Accy away last season) I'm actually a bit surprised that the club haven't suffered serious repercussions already. The club need to be seen to be cracking down, bans need to be issued to prevent that happening.

Having said that, the situation wouldn't have arisen if
1) The ref had dealt with Davies' timewasting.
2) Davies hadn't grinned repeatedly at the North while timewasting, behind the officials' backs.
Which is still no excuse for some idiot spitting at him.
 
I was stood a couple of people away and there was a few spitting, steward had a word with the lad but that was it, keeper on the wind up but as you get older you find it funny and understandable. Gavin ward at Bradford was the best at it.

anyone see the steward get a crack from one on the lads, one stood on the railings and the steward pushed him in the chest off the rails, his mate gave him a right hook, then the steward got moved away to calm it down

Don't forget that there are people on here who, last season, thought it was OK for their kids to throw smoke bombs etc onto the pitch.😟
Who are the hooligans, the kids or their parents?
 
Just let the keeper or the steward have a square go with these pricks, they'd soon be on their heels when not 'protected' in my experience.

Remember that Ward goalie. We were 1 up and giving him loads. They went 2-1 up, allardyce season, then he gave some back and then our lot went into meltdown and some wrote a letter of complaint to the FA about it.

Fair play to their goalie last night, he would be lauded if he was ours and we were in tranmeres position. He was making me chuckle if I'm being honest.

Same with the stewards, the amount of shit they've had this season from our fans has been disgusting. Then when one reacted a few months ago the camera phones come out and he gets sacked.
 
We are not the only club to have these kind of thugs. When there are no boundaries at home and these idiots think it’s ok to do whatever they want what hope has society got? Bring back national service! hope the club do ban this (supporter), have to clamp down on these individuals giving our club a bad name. After all the club and fans have gone through let’s support the team and not behave like animals.
 
Maybe the SLO could do with some help in the north stand he can't keep his eye on everyone but does seem to be the same group of (supporters) every time, you can actually see it coming from other parts of the ground maybe 50-60 of them all youngsters, trouble is the very young join in and so it goes on, nip it in the bud now it will be worth it in the long run.
 
Clearly the mark was overstepped last night, but the keeper enjoyed antagonising the crowd last night.
He was actually goading the fans towards the end. I’ve read on here he’s a Blackpool lad so maybe that’s why but there was no need for it from him and nothing would have happened had he not wound the crowd up.

Scott Davies (Tranmeres keeper) used to sometimes go on the south paddock with his mum, when he was a kid.
Was really a Man City fan though (when they weren't very good).
