Squad of 22

Looks like I need to force a single to bring up the 100.

Kemp and Mitchell in, Kemp is classed as U21 as he was 21 in January, Mitchell is 23 and takes the number of players who count in the squad to 20.

So two spaces remaining as things stand. I think Howe represents our best hope of extending that to three.

CB, RB and maybe a striker?

I’d personally say 2 centre backs and a right back. (1 CB on loan)
 
I think we'll bring in an attacking right back, otherwise we'll be too lopsided, so Howe will more than likely be loaned out.
I'm convinced we're gonna bring someone in from Liverpool, I just can't see Klopp not helping Critch out. They must have a real gem of a player ready to take League One by storm.
Whether that will be with a defender or attacker remains to be seen.
 
I’d love to be a fly in the wall as Juergen and Critch have that post match glass of wine and “chat” about football players!!

Just need three more to complete the jigsaw. I think we are ok on numbers up top with Lubala Yates Sarkic and Madine
 
Apparently Gabriel is staying at Forest now after breaking into the first team with Cash going. Instead we could be getting Richardson who is still a RB but only 20 so wouldnt count towards the squad cap. He was on loan at Exeter last year. That means we would still have enough room for 2 more players.

A striker is paramount.......
None of our number 9's have scored in open play.....
Which is a concern
 
I also think we need a back up keeper. I shudder to think what would happen if Maxwell got injured. I have no confidence in the two young lads. A keeper definitely gets better with age!
A 6' 4" left sided centre half goes without question.
 
We do not need to make panicked acquisitions as we used to.
Happy to start with what we have and be patient till right players are available.

You'd hope with the defence sooner or later - if previous seasons are anything to go by a settled defence is one of the key areas of the team.
 
Think we will free at least one more space up yet. I am sure NC still has a shopping list on the side probably in the loan market. I will be amazed if we dont get any from Liverpool. The incoming must be of first team quality and hopefully improve what we already have or at least challenge for a place.

Only problem is most clubs are going to the wall financially and this allows them to tell players and agents that the salary just cannot be there due to restrictions out of their hands.
Collective excuse - but it works as players will hear it club to club and have to accept the reality wage demand wise.

One CH and One RB One Forward in an ideal world. Right back most needed. Overall looking a well balanced squad with cover for most positions and prob all by the end of the window. At an unprecedented time when most teams in the league are tightening the shoe laces we are a good bet for the league. We are going up as champions
