Summer transfer rumours thread.

No idea why we get sucked into these threads, nobody has a clue these days. The days of that fuckwit leaking snippets is long gone.
I've got stuff on a couple of targets. If one in particular comes off it really will blow fans minds away. I doubt it will be done for the start of pre-season as much depends on the parent club and landing their targets (£30m + types), but it could happen before the window closes. If it doesn't it will probably happen in January, by which time you'll have forgot I posted this load of bollux.

I've bookmarked this post.

Bowler gone
Maxwell going in to a coaching role
Yates wants to leave

Reliable source. Quote me if I'm wrong in a few weeks/months.

I'd want to leave if I was Yates, he could be playing every week for a big league 1 side, better than the odd minute here and there in the Championship.
Just an opinion now but I could see one of the promoted L1 sides signing him or a big league one side. I think that's his level. Definitely a player in there and always a Blackpool legend but hasn't shown enough this year tbh.

Well it all depends on how much money SS has i suppose

If he sticks to the current policy it will probably be a mediocre season or will he try and compete with our rivals and sign a better quality player with Championship experience

Will have to wait and see how much ambition we have
Irrespective of how much money Sadler has, it's how he uses it.

Even though i can realistically afford a nice saloon car if I used all my money I could probably afford a second hand Aston Martin, however if it started to play up and needed repairs then I couldn't afford the running costs.
My nice saloon car will get me from A to B, admittedly not as quick but I'd get there nonetheless.

Patience is required. Especially for Loco🤣

Some players need to be starting nearly every game, rotation on a weekly basis doesn't work for Yates. He scored goals last season that our other forwards couldn't, having watched Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday on Friday he could do a good job for either of them.

You have to earn a starting place and take your chances. All the best squads rotate.

Was Lavery just announced as top goal scorer of the year? Think another good striker on loan or Bradley Holmes stepping up to the first team is what we need. Keep Gaz and Beasley about, both got goals in them.

They all rotate but not as much as we do, personally I don't see many goals or assists in Madine. Beesley might come good; Lavery should regain his form but the main thing for next season is to try and give them more to work with, they've been feeding off scraps most of the time.

That's because none of our players have nailed on a starting spot

May be a vicious circle, don't impress in a game and at most you get 1 more opportunity before your chance comes round again.
The one thing that has been fairly constant up top is Madine, no assists and hardly any goals in open play, maybe the goal machine is the problem.

We've had too many patients this season 😜

Bowler going going ..... we all know that
Maxwell doing his coaching badges and nearing end of career
Yates not likely to be happy at not playing

its not rocket science.

We lost 4.5mill last season due to covid, I think the club have invested well in a team that has been competitive in the main this season and kept us up comfortably. We won't of made a loss this season. We have set out to buy and develop young players, sell some on and use that money to re invest into the process. Bowler likely to go 4 million ish, Brannigan 1m plus others will follow strengthening the squad overall.

Yep, think the overall budget last Summer and Winter (based on what we spent and were allegedly going to spend) was around 2.5 Million.

Given the fact that we were coming off a year without fans I think that was a very solid amount of money.

However, this Summer I expect that number to be a lot higher given

1) The amount of players we offloaded in the Winter.
2) The fact that we had 1 Million left to spend on Brannagan but didn't pull the trigger in January.
3) Bowler's fee which will be around 3-5 Million which I expect a good amount to directly be reinvested.

Honestly think Critchley will have the highest transfer budget any Blackpool manager in history has had. Could be upwards of 5 Million.

Exciting times ahead. 🍊

We’ve already made a signing. Kind of.

Doug Tharme, centre back from Southport who we loaned back for the rest of this season.

23 with a very long throw apparently

Dont forget we have a new stand to fund … what will take precedence as we can’t afford both ….

Austin Martin? I'd go for a Morris Ferrari myself!

Difference between having a theory and knowing though isn't there.

I hate these posts ‘Transfer Rumour’ nonsense

Stick to facts, not speculation

It’s hard enough competing at this level - finishing the season the way we did wouldn’t excite me if I was looking for a move to a new Club and Blackpool even near the bottom of the move queue would now be even lower - I think that is a fact - Club confidence wrecker the last 2 matches based on factual results

Ironically the optimism for P/boro was stark after their mauling of us

Scott Twine would be worth a punt for his free kicks alone !
Would love Twine, but I think he'll honestly go to a lower Prem team or Championship team challenging for automatics.
I watched MKD - Wycombe and Twine mustered one free kick tipped over, another into the side netting, all the corners and free kicks, even if they 50yds out. He had one effort in free play that he dragged wide. Ok. Probably one of those days.

However, MKD have a Canadian wide player, Corbeanu who is not frightened to shoot and was the greatest danger all the game, even in the second half when WW doubled up on him. Bowler’s replacement? Sure he would be in our price range.

19-year-old on loan from Wolves. Guess they might loan him out again if we decide to go down that path instead of developing our own wide players.

Do we think or know that 10k a week is the actual ceiling at Pool currently?.

Aside if the right players were available at say 15k a week to attract a different level and limited to one or two would it neccesarily destabilise if the result was progression more wins points bonuses etc for all the other players?

As long as it's selective doesent damage the overall integrity and the players are obviously better then surely everyone buys into it?.

If the Bowler dividend comes off then surely we will speculate to accumulate albeit with a sensible head on?.

There's no magic money tree. Even if he IS related to Jeremy Corbeanu. 👍

I've had 3 or 4 different HUFC fans tell me that Luke Molyneux is on his way to us.

I've no idea if it's true or where is come from.
