50k plus for 4 months for a L1 player?
Charlton's wage bill is £8,000,000 or so, for a player signed for £500,000, guessing at £3,000 p/w is probably on the low side.

Or we just don't sign him!He is unhappy at Charlton due to personal circumstances and wants a move back north. Charlton can either play hard ball or cut their losses.
Not for me at that price and not certain about him at any price.Nah. Not really. Signed a 4 year contract a year ago and we deem him good enough for the Championship. But we'll try to force the price down of course and reach a compromise. Sadler has learnt some stuff from Karl.
I wouldn't even want him on a free. Would rather use the wages on keeping or bringing in better players. We need quality over quantity.Forget last season and how Kirk and others performed. This season is going to be tougher, we need bigger stronger and more technically gifted players to cover 5/6 positions, for me Kirk does not meet the level required.
Hugo Haas. Hannover veteran midfielder also was at Hamburg. Source Bill Harry ( Merseybeat).
Yes try Beatles photos in Hamburg by Astrid Kirchherr. Can't find any trace of such a player, do you have a link?

i don't think we deemed him good enough for the Championship. He was taken on loan to see whether he was good enough for the Championship and obviously there are question marks!Nah. Not really. If we want to sign him then we deem him good enough. If we don't, there's no price to talk about.i don't think we deemed him good enough for the Championship. He was taken on loan to see whether he was good enough for the Championship and obviously there are question marks!
How very true unfortunately There are some deluded fools on this forum thinking differentlyTough season ahead then
I guess there is nothing else for a Preston fan to be excited about then? Makes sense. It does appear to be unremittingly dull.If there’s anything to excite a preston fan this season… it’s this depressing (from a shitpool perspective) thread
12,500 per month?!The clubs are going into this with their eyes open, they know what an option is and that we do not need to exercise it.
Ultimately, the worst case for them is we've taken his wages off their books for 4 months, that's likely saved them £50,000+ already, and he won't have lost any value playing at Championship level, so either way it's a win for Charlton, and they may still get close what they want as a fee.
Yes, we have players on more than that. Like 6 grand a week kinda thing. 26,000 a month.12,500 per month?!
Yet here you are floating round like a turd that won't flush, really not bothered that you're here, but have you got anything meaningful to contribute? If there’s anything to excite a preston fan this season… it’s this depressing (from a shitpool perspective) thread
Might be why we didn't pursue kirk they don't want him if they knew Critchley was leaving.Well the lack of activity could now be purposeful if the manager made it known he wanted to go.
Could this mean no players before the manager is announced then a wave of last minutes additions
It could be one of the reasons Critch has quit, our lack of transfer activity and losing targets to other clubs?I can’t imagine the transfer targets will change massively tbh. It’s not just Critch behind it, but a whole team who have been working on targets for months. A new manager will obviously have their own men in mind and obviously a different style of play will mean a different type of player but thankfully BFC isn’t a one man band.
That’s one good thing to come out of this sorry mess.Kirk deal got to be dead in the water now.
Or we haven’t signed anyone knowing he is goingIt could be one of the reasons Critch has quit, our lack of transfer activity and losing targets to other clubs?
I wondered that.Or we haven’t signed anyone knowing he is going
With Marv and Grimshaw.I wondered that.
Bowler to Villa anyone?
And Sir Kenneth. With Marv and Grimshaw.
EwWith Marv and Grimshaw.
Don’t you worry about us. Season ticket sales are the best they’ve been in years, we have a great young manager and have proven championship players. With a couple of additions and Lowe at the helm who knows… there is a real buzz around the club at the moment. Blackpool on the other hand…I guess there is nothing else for a Preston fan to be excited about then? Makes sense. It does appear to be unremittingly dull.

Judged by most on here it seems your owner has plowed all his money into the new training ground, which sadly for you, won’t keep you in the championship. Your best player is likely going to get sold and you’ve lost a very good young manager in Critchley. It won’t be long before the ‘best fans in Europe’ turn against the new owners and you’re back down in league 2 where you belong. Hope you’ve got plenty of tennis balls readyGood of you to drop in!
It's the summer recess. A good time for you to call by full of confidence. At least your club seems to have learnt some stuff from us. Fair play. Can it make it work? Time will tell.
We have a good set up and a good owner. One bloke leaving isn't a huge issue. Long term plan, club in the rise, and a club that doesn't stagnate. If you know what I mean.
What a load of bollocks and wishful thinking! If you aren't very bright, why parade the fact on a public forum? Our best player isn't who you seem to think it is, for starters. If you don't understand something, best to stay quiet.Judged by most on here it seems your owner has plowed all his money into the new training ground, which sadly for you, won’t keep you in the championship. Uneducated as well as deluded, the word is ploughed, oh well, where ignorance is bliss it’s folly to be wise.Judged by most on here it seems your owner has plowed all his money into the new training ground, which sadly for you, won’t keep you in the championship. Sinking shift?Let’s see what next season brings.
But calling me stupid when you are delusional enough to think we aren’t in a better position than you lot at the moment is pretty bloody stupid. And if Bowler isn’t your best player then who is? Perhaps Ekpiteta - but If he has any sense will abandon the sinking shift like Mr Critchley.

It’s a new day Jack - onwards and upwards - keep the faithFeels worse after a kip...

You mean the bloke who got his team to the brink of the playoffs with no backing from the chicken fiddlers?I’am the opposite don’t feel too bad now.
A new dawn beckons for the club.
But please Simon not Tony Mowbray.
