Anywho, I apologise for getting into Politics on a transfer thread.
You didn’t comment on the EU, no but you introduced the subject of Brexit. Which I will concede hasn’t made the transfer any easier, but in the grand scheme of things it’s a minor inconvenience.I made no comment on the EU, this isn’t the place for that. Was merely pointing out that it has negatively affected the transfer market here, don’t twist my words.
Is that why they enacted, and quickly retracted, Article 16 to try and prevent us getting supples of the Vaccine? There was no EU legislation preventing the rollout going exactly the same way it did. Any EU member state can pass emergency legislation regarding medicines/vaccines in the event of a crisis.
No I didn’t, I only commented because there had been a big discussion about Brexit already and I was trying to clear it up a little bit.You didn’t comment on the EU, no but you introduced the subject of Brexit. The like was for the last sentence only.No neither do I. We've had huge benefit from the EU though. We entered it in 1973 as the sick patient of Europe, lest we forget.
But I'm not on here for politics tbh. Forget it.
Back to football transfers Joe Lolly available at florist, ice cool take some licking
At least it's a football topic£20,000 p/w and past his best, no thanks.
DefinitelyLyle Taylor is another at Forest that they will be looking to offload and do a job for us?
Move on.Just to bring this thread on topic even though it's nothing new.

My guess is we've been played by his agent, if the player has told their manager he has no interest in joining us. Warne is a bit of a gob shite but I genuinely don't think there is any hope unless we offered stupid money.Just to bring this thread on topic even though it's nothing new.

International caps.I think it says it all about the present state of transfer activity at Bloomfield Road when a thread on players incoming and outgoing gets into a dicussion on Brexit.
i believe our transfer strategy is not fit for purpose.
how did Middlesbrough manage to sign an American the other day?
Because the striker in question had international caps and appearances in La Liga.I think it says it all about the present state of transfer activity at Bloomfield Road when a thread on players incoming and outgoing gets into a dicussion on Brexit.

Possibly but I think.Wednesday are likely to want to hang on to him and I dont think we have the pulling power at the minute.Still have a feeling the Fisayo Dele-Bashiru saga isn't over.
Been almost an entire new week and no talks of his contract progressing at all.
I think if it gets to the final week and they haven't agreed a deal Wednesday might be looking to sell.
I don't know much about him but I really don't think he's what we want.Possibly but I think.Wednesday are likely to want to hang on to him and I dont think we have the pulling power at the minute.
This doesn't explain all of our transfer woes, but it is something to keep in mind, because just about every player we've been in for has been UK based, and since many clubs like ourselves are not able to go to the EU, those UK based players have very inflated prices.
Looking at the rules there would have been little chance that the likes of Elliot Grandin would have qualified for a visa when we signed him.I think you over-estimate how strict the visa rules and how strong some of the "top leagues" really are.
It's perfectly possible for us to go in for players in the Belgian, Dutch, Portuguese and Turkish leagues, and players at some of the smaller clubs in the top 5 leagues probably aren't out of reach for a reasonably ambitions Championship club either,.
so whatLooking at the rules there would have been little chance that the likes of Elliot Grandin would have qualified for a visa when we signed him.
Well that is the type of EU player that mid to lower table Championship sides would have been looking to sign in the past. Grandin, Sylvestre, Martinez, etc would all struggle to get enough points to get a GBE and thus qualify for a visa to play in the EPL and EFL.so what
There’s your answer.International caps.
Because we could then snap up a few proven championship quality players from other teams in the division, there are some quality players that become out of favour for various reasonsAnother thing that was mentioned by the Board that’s been bugging me…
Why are we tracking every deal every club in the Championship is doing?
Surely we should be concentrating on identifying and completing our own transfer targets?!
It’s just wasted energy and resources.
It does actually. World ranking plays a part in it.There’s your answer.
Doesn’t really matter if it’s USA or San Marino, providing the player fits the bill. Loads of African nation players built like brick shïthouses, I’m sure would jump at the chance of playing up front, midfield or right back in the Championship - a shop window for the Prem.
Could we still go for Indrek Zelinski? It does actually. World ranking plays a part in it.
He's probably just explaining exactly whats happened when asked whats happening about the Lavery bid.I dont understand why Rowett should make statements such as this if only to unsettle the player ?
Morning Gary.

Boom tish.In comparison with all the major inconveniences.
At this rate the development squad will outnumber the first team squad.Signed a left back from St Albans City for the Development Squad, just what we needed at this moment in time.
That's 2 then, Harvey Hughes is a left back as well.Signed a left back from St Albans City for the Development Squad, just what we needed at this moment in time.
Free movement for all of us was a wonderful for us and our children. The point I was making was in the whole of Brexit the last consideration, for or against, is if footballers can come here easily. If you didn’t understand that then one of us is totally ignorant.
While we vacillated througout on managing covid through Johnson' s leadership. They all soon caught us up and probably didnt pass on all those huge contracts for Covid masks etc to friends and associates. The worlds first rollout of the Covid vaccination , while the EU spent many weeks vacillating.
