Sundays breaking news…Jerry being tipped for Rangers

Club needs to offer him a new 5 year contract with a wage increase NOW a keep the vultures away. Jerry is ours and I’m hoping he stays for the long term. He’s so loved by all pool fans 💕💕💕💕

Goal scoring, energetic, strikers, who also run their socks off both in attack and defence are gold dust, and Jerry is one. He’s now proving himself in the championship, so it’s no wonder he’s attracting interest.

Selling him in January would be a disaster and I’m sure the club have no intention of doing so. Two things though, will Jerry want to go if the right offer comes in, and have the club identified a suitable replacement.

'Boro were allegedly interested at £7.5m, but PKE wanted £10m, at least in their case he's contracted to 2025, unlike Blackburn who're likely to see £10m - £12m walk out the door on a free next summer.
Yeah paper talk. If any side in the championship wanted him he would have gone. Looks slow and I'm not actually sure what his strengths are?

That long-term contract our management team offered him after our promotion season is increasing looking like an excellent bit of business. It would never have happened under the previous regime and shows that if you invest wisely it can lead to successful outcomes. Congratulations to SS, BM and all those involved in making it happen. As a result we have a striker with a current valuation of 5-10M taking account of the contract he is on. If he carries on the way he is playing and ends the season as one of the top goalscorers in the division then it will rise to 10M+....

It is a bit crazy how a few weeks ago we were all loving his workrate and enthusiasm but let's be honest we would have never imagined worrying about losing him for 5+ million in Jan.

I remember thinking at one point worst case scenario one of the big league one teams would be interested for 500-800k.

It's the double edged sword I suppose, but for someone whose goalscoring has been stop and start I hope leaving is the last thing on his mind, remember similar talk about Lavery during his goal scoring run early last season. I'm sure Jerry is focused on scoring against Cov.

I remember thinking we were going to have to give him away to get his contract off the books! Delighted to be proved wrong (but would probably still snap anyone’s hands off for £5mn)
