Sunderland v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 04.10.22

Absolutely abysmal, can't pass, more players possibly injured.

No composure at all, can't pass to each other.

Where's the coaching of how to pass?

I don’t give a fuck what anyone says - this is all falls on Sadler & The Board. We point blank refuse to spend money on the playing side of things. It’s absolutely pathetic.

I hope Mansford is happy claiming his 250k year salary while the team he’s meant to represent get relegated to league one. ** idiot.
Don’t worry. He’s a few coming in. He told us at Southport.

So many things wrong here. I would like to say we can only improve. We need to change our attack and take it to them more because there is no way this defence will hold out. Only Marv looks fit and he cant pass to a Pool shirt it seems

There is something wrong at this club, it's not the all singing all dancing fun fest we thought it would be when Sadler took over.
Interesting that @hertfordseasider - because after the O’s we would have taken the Devil incarnate. If Critch hadn’t come in I do think they’d have lost that goodwill a lot earlier. This season is the eye opener and I don’t blame Sadler.

For me, there is a problem with the upper management at the club who seem to be short on ideas, competence and have failed to read the room of what Blackpool fans want.

We've been awful. Back to the passive rubbish. Dougall and Lavery the worst of the lot. Connolly isn't a right back but he's been poor also. Appleton needs to change this as that was nowhere near good enough.

It really does make me question what we do in training. There's just nothing to be positive about, the lack of workrate/energy is shocking.

This is shambolic. Watford and Sheff Utd next, too.

I worry about our lack of quality and us having been somewhat over reliant on the loan market; grinding at results at places like this is going to be tough going.

Need a big 45 here.

It's not over yet lads and ladies... with all the concern on this thread avftt law suggests we'll win this 🤞

Awful so far though!

Right, swap Dougall back to his usual slot in front of the back four and bring Patino up.
Madine off - sorry folks, it's not working tonight.
Theo to the left of the front three and Jerry to the middle.
Keep the ball down and play to the width of the pitch with Theo.

2nd time in the space of a few weeks where we’ve been schooled by a team of players who were in League One last season. It’s embarrassing. We are so lucky they don’t have a fit striker.

This is Terrible. Why we’ve dropped the wingers I don’t know. I can only assume the coach crashed on the way to Sunderland or something ? There’s no rational explanation for the injuries and dropping of the players dropped.

Very poor, lucky to limp to HT at 0-0.

Maxwell our most comfortable player on the ball, certainly the best passer.

We urgently need to shore up the centre midfield. They're driving a bus through that gap time and time again, it's far too easy for them

Can Bridcutt take a set piece, feck it get him on anyway. We need an experienced leader out there.

They've got too much time and space on the ball, whereas we're panicking into misplaced passes when challenged.

Changes needed at HT, Please Don't wait until 70 minutes

The pace is too slow for this league. There are no ideas when bringing the ball out. This is the worst Pool side I’ve seen since Grayson. No style, no passion, no hope

Load of old tripe. How is it possible, that we’ve acquired so many players that can’t pass the ball to each other? We’re making Sunderland look like the Barcelona of old. They’ve been by far the better team. Just as well Simms and Stewart are crocked. Not expecting too much in the second half. 😕

I have to say and I’m never critical, but for the first time this season I found that performance very disturbing with the team we’ve put out. We are allover the ** place against a bang average team playing seriously sloppy misplaced football and passes from back to the front!
