Whereas football is hardly divisive at all.Good, it needs to stop, not least because it's so divisive.
The influence America has on the people of this country has always made me angry. You seem rather angry about the whole thing.
The groan was because we were geared up for a kick off roar that went flat as the game didn't actually start. I didn't think it was a groan at the gesture per se.
Ok, who had 'paedophile Asians' in the sweepstake? Collect your winnings at the front desk...Why on earth should footballer players/clubs be criticised because they/their players did not involve themselves in some silly gesture that some organisations have decided to support ?
If you/footballers want to "take a knee" because some career criminal may have been killed unlawfully on the other side of the planet then carry on but please don't go telling those with the ability to make their own minds up that they should be joining in this silly charade and/or telling them that they are racist if they don't join in.
.....

He will avoid the question and blame the right wing pressNo need to be annoyed by my suggestion, a suggestion that would help raise awareness and hopefully ultimately solve a terrible problem in your own country.
Either you support my suggestion or you support the continued grooming and abuse of vulnerable young British girls ?
Disagree. I groaned myself because I was ready for the game to start. The groan was clearly at players taking the knee. Tbf there was similar level of applause afterwards.
Probably the best thing is for this to gently die out over the next few months before the crowds come back. There's enough political baggage with this for it not to be included in the matchday experience.
Maybe that's the answer. Taking the knee should stop because it delays the game. Nobody gets blamed and politics is removed from the game.Disagree. I groaned myself because I was ready for the game to start.

You lost me at ‘discusting’Do we think their will be a backlash once fans are back towards this discusting practice .I do because away from the joke press and TV everyone you speak to is strongly against it and knows the BLM is a devisive racist organisation .All but woke lefft loons and activists seem to be against it in real life .I think and hope it gets booed .
"Black Lives Matter"? Of course they do........................but screw "Black Power", because that is what that raised fist refers to.
I think it’s a pity they don’t have the courage of their convictions, I’d be more impressed if they booed to be honest.Good to see that most people applauded the gesture. Not a boo to be heard.
What a nasty approach to people you have. You put words in their mouths and declare what, according to you, they must be thinking. All because it suits your prejudices to do so.No need to be annoyed by my suggestion, a suggestion that would help raise awareness and hopefully ultimately solve a terrible problem in your own country.
He ** won't, he may wonder what the fuck it's got to do with BLM though, as if one problem is inconsequential because there's another problem? Quite a hackneyed tactic to deflect from one to the other to suit your agenda. He will avoid the question and blame the right wing press
It's time to play 'find an actual post to credit your lazy theory time'! Your time starts ......now!For a change.
I had the correct poster too so doubled upOk, who had 'paedophile Asians' in the sweepstake? Collect your winnings at the front desk...
That may be so, and I’m sure any one with the user name ‘eagle day’ doesn’t have a racist bone in their body, however I think I raise a valid point in that all racists will be opposed to BLM, so if a few players ‘taking the knee’ for half a minute rids BFC of a few racists what’s not to like?Just because there are people who do not want to copy the Yanks, and recognise what BLM really stands for, does not make them racist.
I’ve noticed the OP has disappeared. Presumably he’s not available as he’s attending a KKK meeting?
I’m afraid that our resident wannabe Nazi is wrong on this occasion. It was the symbol of the Civil Rights Movement in the 60’s
It always pays to read the small print, Hermann
Is it? Why?Poor form to go to that extreme.
Is it? Why?
The use of the black clenched fist in the 60s was connected to the Black Panther nationalist group, which adopted the clenched fist as its logo, representing Black power. You use one of the most racist symbols as an avatar and you don't even know what it represents. Unbelievable.
The OP stated that “taking the knee” was disgusting and followed up with, BLM is a racist organisation. Not quite sure what other conclusion I could have come to?It's a bit much isn't it, KKK are complete lunatics on another level.
There are genuine reasons aspects of BLM movement is disliked despite the core message being fair. The UK version have delved into further political issues like Israel so its not really right for them to have anything to do with sport imo.
Then we have some hypocrisy, for eg during the riots in the US loads of Black people lives were turned upside down by ensuing looters and protesters etc and even people killed like an old Black policeman, very little care seemed to be given in comparison because he was killed by people with the wrong colour skin seemingly, a fellow back man. Seems a warped message when the lives only matter when killed by someone who is white.
Should have just stuck with a kick out racism line (which i believe everyone agrees with) rather than involving and empowering a group with some other political aims like defunding the police etc.
If the had have done that, Recidevist would have accused them all of being "Nazis".I think it’s a pity they don’t have the courage of their convictions, I’d be more impressed if they booed to be honest.
L'etranger...................that name is familiar from Facebook. That may be so, and I’m sure any one with the user name ‘eagle day’ doesn’t have a racist bone in their body, however I think I raise a valid point in that all racists will be opposed to BLM, so if a few players ‘taking the knee’ for half a minute rids BFC of a few racists what’s not to like?

Why should I not use the English translation for our forces winning that Battle? And why do you accuse people of being racist just because they disagree with a certain action? We have our own campaign against racism, what is so special about copying the loony Yanks? That may be so, and I’m sure any one with the user name ‘eagle day’ doesn’t have a racist bone in their body, however I think I raise a valid point in that all racists will be opposed to BLM, so if a few players ‘taking the knee’ for half a minute rids BFC of a few racists what’s not to like?

There in lies part of the problem, I don’t see men of different colour, I just see the team I love and hope any one of them goes out and has a great game regardless of the colour of their skin. On the other hand some of you just want to keep pushing the divisive angle that doesn’t need to be there. It took less than 10 seconds.Oh by the way have good look at the current make up of our team...I bet some of them know all about racial abuse from dimwits like you.
Keep the FaithI thought he was a northern soul fan.
And what if the people playing for the team you love actively want to take the knee? What will be your opinion then? There in lies part of the problem, I don’t see men of different colour, I just see the team I love and hope any one of them goes out and has a great game regardless of the colour of their skin. On the other hand some of you just want to keep pushing the divisive angle that doesn’t need to be there.

"Filled with pride", just because some numpty takes the knee...............the mind boggles!
Why on earth was part of my post removed ?
This is a discussion forum designed for members to discuss and debate issues.
What a heinous crime a typo is!Learn to spell before you even try to form an opinion.
Sometimes, one is left with impression that ALL footballers are numpties, these days.11 Blackpool players are all numpties?
Did you not read my post ? That’s their prerogative but I don’t have to agree with it. Hence I will turn my back and not boo. Simples. And what if the people playing for the team you love actively want to take the knee? What will be your opinion then?
And that is the most divisive part of the whole thing.telling those with the ability to make their own minds up that they should be joining in this silly charade and/or telling them that they are racist if they don't join in.
Remainder of post removed.
Presumably you'd prefer the salute we gave in Berlin in 1938? Respecting other cultures and all that.Sometimes, one is left with that impression.
