Season over so time to give a few a rest and try some of our newer players.

I'd go with.

Maxwell
Connolly/Gabriel Keogh Ekpiteta Husband/James
Virtue Robson
Dale Yates Lavery
Beesley

All out attack, nothing to lose. Can bring Keshi and Bowler on against tired legs.

Not Robson, no no no please JJ, no.🤣

Strongest 11 all this giving players game time in the Championship is utter tosh we'll get beat, I want us to win the game this isn't a pre season friendly or why should I bother spending the best part of a ton on a day out.
Unless there’s a great deal of arse kicking going on between now and then we’ll get beat anyway. Perhaps some of the squad players may be hoping to impress for a new contract, extension or just game time.

What is our strongest 11 now tho without any right backs or Stewart in midfield?

Not a team full of players who've hardly played.

This site has gone into overeaction mode because we've lost our last two games totally forgetting before the break we drew against Sheffield beat Swansea Stoke away and stuffed Reading.

to be fair, it's not the losing of the two games, it's the manner of how we lost. that has left the fans angry. Not helped by Critchs post match comments after either game.

As 20s says the manner of the defeats puts us a little bit in back to square 1 territory.

Post match comments? Who takes any notice of them?

Our 'best 11' have just had 2 absolutely shite performances, if not now then when will others get a chance.

We don't know if they are the best 11 always if we don't try the others.

Bowler against tired legs for eg can sometimes be more effective.

Madine hasn't pulled up any trees last 2 games, although a player I like so give Beesley a shot.

Still a strong team, with Yates and Lavery and Dale we have seem glimpses.

Defence pretty much full strength anyway so nowt wrong with it.

All this clamour for Beesley ? What is it based on ? Critch sees him day in , day out and as such rarely even places him on the bench.

THAT'S the position I want to see Jerry in

Ditch the wingers and play Lavery Yates and Madine.
But remember Yates and Lavery want the ball on the floor, no high balls.
Whoever is fit in a 3 man midfield
The 3 main attackers work tirelessly off the ball in every game.
Get the ball to them and let them enjoy at least 1 game

Maxwell
Thorniley, Ekpiteta, Casey
Dale, Dougall, Connolly, Kirk
Lavery, Beesley, Yates

Moore, Keogh, James, Virtue, Anderson, Bowler, Madine

Something a bit different but why not

Well if we don't play him why buy him so either a dud signing and were completely wasting money without trying them or just not getting a chance.

He maybe a dud or not ready yet but normally they'd have had a bit more game time than less than 10 minutes in 2 sub appearances when we where leading games to warrant a start.

If he’s so bad why did he buy him?I’m sure he must have had him watched. Although saying that he still bought Dale.

Low cost gamble ?

8 minutes of football since his move in January.

Dale and Kirk very similiar.

Its not to say they dont have ability, but clearly NC doesnt trust them.

If he doesn’t trust them, again, why buy them. It’s not a low cost gamble, in fact, if they don’t play it’s a very expensive gamble. If your mate recommended say, a joiner, you wouldn’t pay him to do a job decide you don’t like the look of him and pay someone else as well. Or if you did it would be a very expensive job. Except in this case you’re talking about not one, but three wages.

Its a low cost gamble paying low cost wages/fees and staying in line with the clubs budget.

There is an element of luck in any transfer , some work out (Bowler, Keshi) some dont.

Let’s give him a few games - must be worth a chance
Blackburn might be the ideal time as yes its a dead rubber for us not for them, plus a derby so still has meaning so they are playing for something, even if its not the most important thing if we did lose.

I think with players coming in with something to prove we might see a good performance. Plus we can bring the likes of Bowler and Anderson on later.

Much hinges on Gabriel getting fit. Without Stewart I worry about Robson in midfield, through no fault of his own he doesn’t look anything like on the pace. I hope Virtue can step up as he’s a good all rounder IMO but again a big ask after such a long layoff, so I want Dougall and Connelly in midfield if at all possible. I don’t think there are many knocking on the door for starting at the moment so I’d only be thinking about resting one or two maybe, nothing drastic. I would go two up top though.

We're out of options in certain areas of the pitch. For example, Dougall is now the only midfielder we have available that's played any championship football this season (if you ignore last night and the fact that Connolly has to cover right back). So he has to start. I think Ekpiteta and Keogh will stay in too, so there's a few definite starters.

Aside from that, the only thing I don't want to see is our two best strikers sat on the bench in another derby game. It's bordering on criminal.

But maybe they will look as if they want to win, unlike the team last night.

Calm down everyone ! If we said last season that we would be disappointed at losing to Forrest who are in top form, and winning both home derbies also belting Fulham , I would of settled for it ! We have had some lessons off teams this season, but the knob end result was a combination of bad luck ( keeper injury) and too many players having an off night, that was their cup final don’t forget ! Roll on Saturday, enjoy and let’s see the positives next season 👍

It would be interesting to recall Rob Apter and play him wide. Josh could possibly push inside and play off a more mobile striker.

Even Dougall, who I think is a waste of space would be better than Robson. At least he looks interested.
Harsh
Wayward shooting but at least he tried.
Played some good FORWARD passes
Still improving and rated at MK Dons who may be championship next season.
Would probably play him and sell in summer though
