That Refs a blatant f*coin cheat!!!

Should have been off for the 2nd foul definitely, probably could make a case he should have been off for the first. He then went on to do a great strike after the 2nd incident which Maxwell made a good save on. If that had gone in someone should have invaded the pitch and chinned the ref (obviously not, but ya know - hyperbole to get the point across).

Ahhh the old ref thread.
Some of the ref threads this season have been rather grasping at straws IMO but todays was so one sided in favour on Burnley it was actually obvious.

How a player on a booking makes a foul that requires a talking to from the referee without getting a 2nd yellow is ridiculous.

Every week we have the same thread though! Refs get some decisions right and get some wrong - people see and interpret it to fit their mentality.

He was blocked off, if that’s not a foul I don’t know what is.

Check the replay when you get chance
I saw it live mate, both my sons hollering it was a foul. It wasn't
However the referee did give some bizarre decisions in favour of the Dingles, the best when he had his back to play and missed a blatant foul 😕

Carey free kick on the box. Holding play for a Burnley player off the pitch. Obstructing Gabriel yet let Burnley on the attack from it (drop ball at the very least). The foul on Gabriel which was the same as Carey’s sending off in the away game, to then let the same player deliberately foul again right after and not 2nd yellow him. The supposed Bowler foul on their player when he clearly just mucked up at the back….the list goes on!! Shocking

And some people interpret it based on what they see and the laws of the game.
It's the inconsistency of refereeing that effects my mentality.
2 fouls be Tella, very similar, one gets a yellow and the other doesn't.

It was right in front of me and I'd beg to differ.
I sit behind a registered referee and I think he would beg to differ with you.
When everyone, including both my sons were roaring for a free kick, we both said simultaneously no foul🤷

If the ref didn't see it that's good enough for me that it was a penalty.
Should have gone to Specsavers. 😉👓

Ref was from Sheffield - must be a Wednesday fan because he was possibly the most incompetent official I’ve seen in years.

Not often l publicly criticise a referee as it’s a tough job but that clown today was a feckin disgrace. How that 6'4'' Jordan can go down like a sack of spuds and get a free kick as he ran into trouble with Josh snapping at his heels was just one of many crazy decisions against us today!

The definition of a foul seemed to vary depending on which team made the offence. Also a deliberate foul should be a booking, ref just had a word. Poor

I'd have really liked to see what chance would have been created by our break away down our right in the 2nd half. They'd committed too many players forward and we were away.

And the incompetent referee blocked off Bowler......and ** played on when they recovered possession and attacked!!

Literally played 12 men today.

Incompetent bastard

The bloke couldn’t even blow for half time correctly. And the fact he should’ve booked himself for a foul on Gabriel was definitely a first

He's a PL referee but not ref'd many games in the PL.
Last ref'd us at home to Birmingham.

I notice we never blame the ref when decisions have gone our way,our current position is down to the board and an absolutely atrocious decision to appoint Appleton as manager and then not get rid of him after the Wigan game.

Just seen it on the highlights.
Definitely a foul but the contact was ouside the box.
Good interview post match with Mick.
