A Team plays some first team players returning (from poor form/injury/ bereavement leave) in the reserve side to help get them match fit again.

Clubs did that all the time in the original central league, nothing to see here whatsoever.

Sounds like a manager getting his excuses ready.
 
Sounds like to me Quichly put out a very strong team desperately wanting a win knowing that Lowe was puting out our youths of 16 to 18/19 year olds. If we had put out a strong team we would have won and Lowe is correct, our young lads would have learned and gained a lot more from that game than your lot would have done.

Whining scouse toad, it's not like we played anyone who started at the weekend and with no midweek fixture it made sense to give some of the fringe players some minutes. Any win against that lot is a good win, when it makes their manager spew like a big baby, it's even better still.

Was he buggery desperate for a win. The guys who played all needed some match time for match fitness. It was a reserve game. Sometimes our young lads play against senior players. Critch gained what he wanted from it, match fitness for fringe players. Lowe moans and then claims his lads gained more than ours. Seems bloody petty to me.

People on here posted the day before and on the morning that some fringe 1st teamers might play and then that a strong squad was expected, so it was hardly a big secret.

We played a strong Barrow side and lost 5-3 the other week and your lot did the same thing and went stronger last season too. Teams do it often.

Also, you've been in the championship for many years now. The whole point of reserve / development squads is to develop players good enough to play at your level, eventually.

We're in League 1, put out a few of the first team squad, some right on the fringe who hadn't played a lot, mixed with some of our dev squad.

By all accounts it was men against boys.
 
Another own goal by our club, we might be calling the nobend manager but the rest of the country will be laughing at us for playing full time pros against a kids team.

It's bad enough that some spend more time here than on their own crap site, but to then pretend to be one of us? It's just weird. I mean, a bit disturbing! I really hope they are below the age of 16 because if not, well.....
