The Blackpool Public...hang your heads in shame

Amazes me why the club (and other clubs) don't massively reduce ticket prices for home fans at games like this, and at this time of year - make it 15 or 20 quid and bring a kid free .... do something.
It sows seeds for future support and fills the ground. Surely commercially positive too?

It’s disappointing a man in your position (Secretary of the Blackpool Supporters Trust) is trying to make justification for a fellow Pool fan who’s needlessly insulted fellow Pool fans who, for whatever reason, haven’t attended the game in person today.

If you don’t have any empathy for the social demographic of individuals in this part of the world, for whom 20 quid is a lot of money, nor the respect for the right to choose to attend or not, especially a matter of days after a no doubt costly Xmas - I’d suggest you’re not the right choice for such a high profile position in the Blackpool Supporters Trust.

Give people a break, and stop indulging in this childish willy waving competition on attending games.
Spot on. Then again he’s always been a sanctimonious tw@t.
If the scum do well…..

FA Cup games - Ticket prices and deals have to be agreed between both clubs and generally are reciprocated.

As NF filled the away end and more - at £20 then it probably makes no commercial sense to lower the prices and offer free kids.

In fairness from the people I spoke to, they wouldn’t have gone today if it was free!

Less than 5000 home fans with over 3782 from Forest

Good win that buys apples another month .
Where you getting your away figure from? Not usually that many in when it looks like it did, but not sure.

Either way about 5k ish home fans at 20 quid.

You charged a tenner and got 6k in, seems pretty poor to me considering the seasons we've had.

Nothing about "supporting the lads" - I do enough, just not arsed about watching us play forest reserves, and paying £20 for the privilege.
Honestly you don’t need to explain why you do or don’t go to a match, and no one has the right to tell you how to spend your money. For some people £20 is the difference between keeping themselves warm for a couple of hours each day for a week. They don’t need to justify their choices.

That looks a pitiful attendance!!!

Premier League opposition too, I am almost ashamed!!!

I'll tell you what, have a pint or two less or cook at home instead of a takeaway, and support the lads!!!

I'll get pelters likely but I speak from the heart!!!
I’m happy the fans who couldn’t be arsed missed a cracker, i enjoyed that probably more than any game this season & the north was bouncing, even chanting appletons tangerine army at the end, I don’t know what family problems he’s had this week but I’m pleased for him

Don’t see why anyone needs to be embarrassed/ ashamed for not attending today
It is what it is - a game v Forest reserves
I’ve been to all home league games and a fair number of the away games this season but decided not to go today as most of our cohort weren’t and I had a few things to do
Missed a great match though

👏👏👏

People who say only ‘true fans’ feel the need to justify their attendance. If it makes them feel special, let them crack on.

No freebie upstairs this week.

There has been dome really good games the last couple of seasons but for me that was up there with them and the atmosphere was back.
You can’t tar all fans with the same brush some will have good reason not to go and some won’t but it is their choice I nearly didn’t bother but my lad wanted to go, I’m glad he did cause it was a cracking match.

Exactly what I meant, if you had good reason not to go due to financial reasons or illness etc then fair enough, if you just couldn’t be bothered then ok you missed out on a great day

As a season ticket holder and the odd away game I couldn’t be arsed today.
Not seeing the exciting attacking football MA promised?

I think all today proved is that a lot of Forest fans wanted to come and watch Blackpool (because we've long been admired by then) and not many Blackpool fans were interested in watching Forest because they knew it would be a bit one-sided.

Don't give a shit about it being a pitiful attendance.
The ones that were there gave 100% backing and even though the North was only a third full its was the best its been for a long time.

Nothing better than knocking a bunch of arrogant bastards back in their box🤭👍🏻

🎶time to gooooo fuck off🎵

There is "speaking from the heart" and then there is judging people for how they choose to prioritise money whilst living through an energy crisis and rising food bills.

Get back in your self-righteous box and stop telling people how to live their life.

If it was one of the top clubs the queue would have been round the block. So it will be interesting if we land a top club in the next round.....

It's the first time the fans have had the opportunity to properly vote with their feet. Most season ticket holders will go to league matches as they've paid for it, the ones who don't go the club aren't bothered about really as they've already had their money. Today's game is people showing they're not happy with the manager and the football they're seeing, the low ticket sales say it all. This time last season if we played a Premier League team, even at 20 quid a ticket would probably have been a 10,000+ attendance. Today will probably be 7-8000 with over half away fans.
Agree @HighfieldSeasider - not long ago 80% wanted rid of Appleton and some said we were no better than a league one side.

Entertainment this season has been zero, the atmosphere has been flat and with Xmas costs and leccy prices £20 is still a decision for most.

It’ll be different for round 4 if we’ve won a couple by then and get a decent tie.

Driving back to Wirral via Liverpool as I did this evening tells you a lot about the priorities and loyalties of many football fans. Including an endless stream of pouring down the M6 to the M58 and brigades of tunnel rats coming the other way through the tunnel from Wirral about 6.20pm.

I'm a season ticket holder, and didn't go. However, I had a genuine reason as I was helping my daughter move house down south. I was more pissed off cos I've had to sit through a lot of dross this season and they finally turn it on today.

More concerned about maximising the away take it seems

I drove all Motorway and back on the Wirral for around 6-20. Didn’t fancy driving through the droves of that lot.
Povedo was MOTM in my opinion.

Not rocket science this is it. If you didn't go today for genuine reason wether that is financial or you are an exile then happy days no worries but if you didn't go because you are a miserable, booing, defeatist arse then fook off. The atmosphere today was the best it's been for months despite the low numbers. Not just because we won comfortably,it was good even before we scored.

Same boat. Season ticket holder who went to all but 2 matches this season. I gave my ticket to Dad because I'm moving overseas next week, and we turn into Galacticos 😅

Some of the comments about KKS on this thread are disgraceful. Anyone that knows or who has met him knows he bleeds tangerine. His comments, are on the whole true. Illness and train travel difficulties can be excused and there will be others who genually could not make it, but as \i said in my earlier post it was good value for the money today, a great end to end cup game.

Totally agree — look at all the games tonight that preceded ours — Weds full house , Wrexham 4,500 away — every match virtually a full house and our fans Moan about everything and every excuse possible even the price £20 !!

Well done those fans who enjoyed the rout (amazing), the players and Club — we‘re in the 4th round and Bowler‘s back at Watford — get off yer behinds and cheer your home town Team onwards and Upwards

Progress

I couldn’t be there but proudly wore my scarf around Southbourne pub’s tonight 🍊⚽⚽⚽⚽👍🧡
Let’s just be happy top SEASIDERS 🍊⚽👍

I know technically they're a "prem team" but, come on, not really. Was about what I expected given the trend over the last 20 years or so of the FA cup being devalued.

Next home league game will be an interesting indicator of where we are after the transfer window boost, wouldn't be surprised to see 10k+ home fans especially if we get a result at Watford.
