This is a pub/bar/club in Poulton. There is a branch of Cube just off St Annes Square. Nice clothes . out of my budget . but like to window shop.
Don’t get into Poulton as much theses days, still great to meet people for a few drinks in the Stocks & Schillings and the craft beer bars in the square and the champagne/rum/cocktail bars on The Breck.I want to know where @Torycorner has been?
Shows how low society has got “a nanny state with a powerless police force to enforce law & order” will only get worse when Labour win the next GE.
I am of little doubt the owner of the establishment and the police have a fair idea who may be behind these awful occursncesBut it doesn`t necessarily show any of those things TC.
And why it "will only get worse" under a different government is just speculation, as we haven`t seen their plans in detail. Is there any evidence to say it will get worse, bearing in mind it was Theresa May who cut back the police force by 20,000 as Home Secretary?
Also , it isn`t that the police are "powerless" in this matter, it may be that the owners of the establishment that has been vandalised are reluctant to give information to the police for various reasons, and if that is the case, how are the police going to track down masked men in a car with no registration plate (allegedly)?
If repeated smashing of windows in Poulton is your idea of "how low society has got", you need to get out more.
Oh! I see you do...
What's up with the Thatched now? Not been in much myself lately but did pop in a couple of months ago and all seemed fine.Don’t get into Poulton as much theses days, still great to meet people for a few drinks in the Stocks & Schillings and the craft beer bars in the square and the champagne/rum/cocktail bars on The Breck.
Thatched House not half the pub it was since Neil Swift retired.
I tend to prefer a drink at Poulton Golf Club now.especially in the summer!!
Never been a fan of the Cube TBH (left but it’s sad to see what’s happening with it, a bit scary too TBH.

No more politics?? - you started in you crackpot , I suspect your call to end the politic talk is because you read what you had wrote and saw you was a spannerI am of little doubt the owner of the establishment and the police have a fair idea who may be behind these awful occursnces
Police don’t have the powers to either investigate or act because of “nanny state red tape is my point”
The 13 years of Labour 1997-2010 was the “brainchild of the nanny state” hence my comments.
No more politics on this forum let’s get back to football & Sturdsy ️
With baseball bats apparently.Windows smashed this morning , four times now.

Is it something to do with Oxo?I wonder what the beef is that someone has got with the Cube.
It’s not the good folk of Poulton who are at fault it’s the tvvats visiting it.Poulton's gone downhill since it thought of itself as some kind of Asda Value Lytham, which is shit anyway.
The town is based on Pub,food and late night drinking it's bound to have issues from time to time. It’s not the good folk of Poulton who are at fault it’s the tvvats visiting it.
So what actually do you call a good pub these days? The town is based on Pub,food and late night drinking it's bound to have issues from time to time.
For me Poulton has to be one of the most overrated places ever full of bang average pubs, restaurants serving take away food and a look at me clientele.
True and those paying over the odds to live there. It’s not the good folk of Poulton who are at fault it’s the tvvats visiting it.
To be fair Jaffa I've always avoided the Thatched since the 90's as it was always full of middle aged divorcees. The older ladies slapped up to fxuk in lipstick and fur coats and the men prancing around in Pringle jumpers and golf slacks all suffering from terrible sexual tension. So what actually do you call a good pub these days?
I still love the Thatched house yes it’s not as good as it was back in the 80’s/90’s but it’s still a good old pub serves good ale and doesn’t serve food which makes drinking even better as a much better atmosphere and not full of kids.
I think the vast majority of pubs these days have been spoilt by serving food in fact very few pubs these days don’t serve food I only know of another one the Sandyforth Arms in Thornton.
Food has killed the good old British pub these days very few real pubs left that sell proper Ale and don’t cater for eaters.
Do you ever go to the many real ale bars that are opening? .So what actually do you call a good pub these days?

it’s not as over-priced as “Snowy-Lytham”.True and those paying over the odds to live there.
Yes only last week I went to that Wobblinn on Victoria road very nice sat outside in the Sun.Do you ever go to the many real ale bars that are opening? .
The Cask in Bispham food is the option of a, pork pie or crisps, and it is doing very well.
New bar in Cleveleys last couple of weeks, I bet food is not high on its agenda.
Nothing wrong with pubs serving food by the way, Spoons works well
Sadly….been out in the town tonight and Cube Windows got done again last weekend.
hence why i went in it Mac, the ladies reason not the men in pringle (actually i wore pringle but in the 80s!)To be fair Jaffa I've always avoided the Thatched since the 90's as it was always full of middle aged divorcees. A million miles from a decent drinking pub lol
In that case they should put them in the stocks if they still have them in the squareIs it something to do with Oxo?
