so i was not in The White Rose room after the game whilst the host interviewed the ex player Nathan Clarke and the young lad who they signed from Wimbledon who played in the middle of the park? or to see the two young kids win a bottle of Prosecco...., ok.Rubbish
Time to stop defending the indefensible and admit we got lucky.
Brett and Chissy don’t know their arse from their elbowBrett and Chissy were adamant it hadn't crossed the line.
Of course it does. The fact that it's not visible almost proves it. That photo was taken from behind the goal line. The goal line comes from the base of the post. You can just about see it to the bottom left of the picture. The fact you can't clearly see it proves the position it's taken from. The goalpost is vertical, so the picture isn't skewed.Deceptive from that angle as the goal line is not visible.
If you draw an imaginary line from the bottom of the ball to where you think the goal line is it's unlikely that the WHOLE of the ball would be over.
There was goal line technology involved and it did not bleep the refs watch.
That picture does not prove conclusively that the whole ball was over the line imo.
Impossible to confirm anything from that photo I'm afraid.Of course it does. The fact that it's not visible almost proves it. That photo was taken from behind the goal line. Then you're all ** nuts and living in a fantasy world. Why can't people just admit we got lucky?Impossible to confirm anything from that photo I'm afraid.
The goalpost is leaning to the right, you can tell by the netting on the left that isn’t straight from top to bottom.Of course it does. The fact that it's not visible almost proves it. Not really... You're just happy to rely on deceptive imagery to draw your conclusion, whereas others are looking for something more conclusive. Then you're all ** nuts and living in a fantasy world. Why can't people just admit we got lucky?
The something more conclusive is the FACT the refs watch didn't bleep. More than happy that the ball wasn't fully over the line. Not really... You're just happy to rely on deceptive imagery to draw your conclusion, whereas others are looking for something more conclusive.
More crap, blurry / skewed photos's from weird angles that don't prove anything... I'd just accept that the excellent modern goal line technology, which is specifically designed for the purpose and rigorously tested is far better placed to determine the facts, that a bunch of amateur photographers, if I were you .
I agree. You cannot tell whether it's over the line from that angle. On the extended highlights on TTV you get a replay from behind that shows it didn't cross the line.Dodgy angle / photo...It's impossible to tell
It’s you who’s arguing Black is White TT… We are just agreeing with the decision and the excellent technology. You really are all completely deluded. You'd argue black is white for the sake of an argument. The pics are blurred because they're freeze frames from videos.
All this proves is that some people on this forum are so obstinate and stubborn that you can't have a reasonable conversation. Either that or thiock as pig-shit.
I'm done with all of it. Enjoy your in-fighting.
It’s going to be a long drag until Saturdays game…..What’s all the dispute about? We got the points didn’t we? 176 on this thread most trying to give Huddersfield a point. We won they lost, as another poster said, shit happens move on. I bet the Udders board has got this many complaining about this decision.
Never trust a camera. It's the beep wot counts.
I think they mean it was so far over that hawkeye sacked it offThis from Lancs Live this morning. The most important thing is the last sentance!
The EFL have confirmed there was a goal line technology failure during Blackpool's win at Huddersfield.
The Seasiders picked up all three points at the John Smith's Stadium after Theo Corbeanu's first half goal but the controversy came in the second half. Huddersfield defender Yuta Nakayama looked to have placed the ball across the line at the second attempt after Dan Grimshaw's initial save, but Grimshaw collected the ball and played on.
Without a signal to the referee's watch during the incident, official John Busby resumed play amid strong claims from Huddersfield players that they had seen the ball cross the line. This is another instance of Hawk-Eye goal line technology failing after a memorable incident in 2020 where Sheffield United were denied a winner away at Aston Villa after a technology failure.
The EFL have released a statement confirming that, after discussions with Hawk-Eye, there was a failure: "The EFL is incredibly frustrated that a technology failure at Huddersfield Town and Blackpool has overshadowed a fantastic weekend of action on the pitch.
"We have now received an initial assessment from Hawk-Eye, the providers of the Goal Line Technology service in the Championship, that during a second-half incident with Huddersfield attacking, the match officials did not receive a signal to their watch or earpiece as, due to multiple factors, the ball was no longer being tracked following it entering the Blackpool goal area.
"Separately, PGMOL have confirmed officials were unsighted due to obstruction by players and therefore unable to award a goal. Whilst the system was tested and functional prior to the start of the game, further information is expected from both Hawk-Eye and PGMOL following a full review of the incident.
"Technology is there to support the decision-making processes of match officials in the Championship and it failing in such a manner on Sunday is a matter of great concern. For clarity, the referee’s decision is final and the match result stands."
Can't see the ball because there's a big arrow obscuring it.
'We only monitor the goal line, not five feet past it'Never trust a camera. It's the beep wot counts.
"due to multiple factors, the ball was no longer being tracked following it entering the Blackpool goal area."
Multiple factors?!
It's probably polite for multiple fuck ups.I think they mean it was so far over that hawkeye sacked it off
More meaningless drivel ….Full EFL statement:
OFFICIAL STATEMENT. I mean what other sort of statement would it be on the EFL site? Talk about overactive egos .Full EFL statement:
I don’t recall any “Official Statements” when it was us on the receiving end of a goal line fuck up.OFFICIAL STATEMENT. I mean what other sort of statement would it be on the EFL site? Talk about overactive egos .
Ah, now then.I don’t recall any “Official Statements” when it was us on the receiving end of a goal line fuck up.

They were both wrongBrett and Chissy were adamant it hadn't crossed the line.
Both spot on… Chissy is world renowned for his eyesight. They were both wrong
Again though, not definitive. It's in the air.
Not exactly what you'd expect to see from that angle is it....Again though, not definitive. It's in the air.
To hear Hudds fans talk you'd think it was rippling the back of the net.
