You mean like Tony Ellis? If they're good enough I don't care who they've played forEx Preston? I thought we were anti ex PNE?

I’m not saying I am, but there are a few on here. You mean like Tony Ellis? If they're good enough I don't care who they've played for
If promotion doesn’t excite you then i’d just give up on watching footballCan’t contain my excitement at the prospect of a string of 1-0s
Entertaining football excites me. Probably before your time Arsenal had a habit of scoring one, then shutting up shop, earning themselves the soubriquet ‘boring Arsenal’. That may be your idea of excitement, it’s certainly not mine. Of course I want promotion, but in the right way.If promotion doesn’t excite you then i’d just give up on watching football
We just need to be solid defensively, it doesn’t mean we have to park the bus when we’re 1-0 up. The point I’m making is that the 1-0 away results will get a team promoted not the 4-0 hammering at home. Either way, the defence has to be strong otherwise we’ll go nowhere!Entertaining football excites me. I agree about a strong defence, but not at the expense of a bit of flair. Hopefully we can find the right players to help us in both departments. There needs to be a fair few ins and outs to achieve that.We just need to be solid defensively, it doesn’t mean we have to park the bus when we’re 1-0 up. Well firstly both have missed chunks of the season. We are relegated so does that mean Thorniley(if he signs) and Marv are not the answer??
He has been a sick note most of the season and he wasn't that good for us either.I notice Embleton hasn't played much this season. Wonder if we could make a cheeky bid?
You do realise, he was one of Sunderlands best players at the start of the season, before picking up a serious injury to end his campaign. No chance.I notice Embleton hasn't played much this season. Wonder if we could make a cheeky bid?
I didn't realise that. Just saw his minutesYou do realise, he was one of Sunderlands best players at the start of the season, before picking up a serious injury to end his campaign. No chance.
I am still predictingStill no actual rumours then?
Which Championship team would want Jerry then, on that basis.Considering Forrest Green and Accy are both relegated it doesn't seem Tharm or Casey are the answer!
You defend as a team. Critchley had his teams keeping a pretty good defensive shape. Appleton took more interest in attacking shape and, as for, MM I haven't a clue what he was trying to do.Our defence is a strange one, man for man they seem decent, particularly for league one. The issue is down to coaching and organisation which is why I would like us to get an established manager who can keep us solid, picking up 1-0 wins - all the top teams get promoted on the back of a strong defence.
If Nelson does sign (and I hope he does), then with Thorniley on the left (if we can get him to sign as well) and Ekpiteta in the middle, we'd have a strong back 3 for league 1. We could then play with wing backs, one being Lyons as he loves to get forward. Who knows, Thompson may come good in league 1.Well firstly both have missed chunks of the season.
Secondly Thornilly and Marv are being relegation from the championship, Casey and Tharm are relegated from the division we will be playing in next season.
Thompson may still be out of his depth. Hopefully we’ll have Tharme and Casey recalled too - they’ll have a big part to play.If Nelson does sign (and I hope he does), then with Thorniley on the left (if we can get him to sign as well) and Ekpiteta in the middle, we'd have a strong back 3 for league 1. No thanksWe should sign him up, develop him further and capitalise on that !
Would definitely have him. But there's a number of English and European clubs monitoring him so I'd be surprised if he came here.
How will we cope?I am still predicting
Stewart, Bridcutt and Lubala will leave
Can fill the gap until January when Gary Goals inevitably returns to be our first choice.
Great touche point . Some people do talk nonsense. A good player in a poor side is still a good playerWhich Championship team would want Jerry then, on that basis.
Massive hole to fillHow will we cope?
He will not go for above 3m. Absolutely zero chance. We may value him at 5m, but the club will listen to offers of 2m, and he will push for the move, which i wouldn't be-grduge at all. More than double his wages and play in Europe, it's a no brainer.Another clown, who doesn't have a clue. Just off the top of my head:
Toney - Peterborough to Brentford £6M
Watkins - Exeter (L2) to Brentford £2M in 2017!
There are many more. Yates has proven he can cut it at Championship level in an average/poor team, he's only 26 and has 2yrs on his contract.
Maybe you need to give up commenting if you have zero knowledge on football, which probably makes you a nobber.
Well we disagree, Yates doesn't have a choice unless there is a release clause, which there isn't at £2M. Strikers are hard to find, if we sell below £2M who exactly would we be able to replace him with for less?He will not go for above 3m. Absolutely zero chance. Thorniley will deffinetly be gone. He does not want to play L1 football. His contract has expired so he will get a sign on fee from his new club.If Nelson does sign (and I hope he does), then with Thorniley on the left (if we can get him to sign as well) and Ekpiteta in the middle, we'd have a strong back 3 for league 1. There is a relegation release clause which is below 3m... I'm not saying it's the right thing, it makes no commercial sense, but it's most likely to happen on the balance of probabilitiesWell we disagree, Yates doesn't have a choice unless there is a release clause, which there isn't at £2M. Agree about Trybull.I don't think Stewart has played a single game for us this season - has he been paid during the season?
Hopefully Tybull will be fit for next season, and one to build around, we need some great young mids, not released 'has been' crocks.
We are now in a cart horse division.Cart horse no thanks
Fair enough but so was Ekinfenwa but a pig to play against and loads of goals.Stockton is a cart horse
He's just scored 15 and had 6 assists (in all competitions) and 14 and 5 assists in the Championship, in a team that got relegated, there's no doubt that's his level, hence why he would and has scored for fun in L1, there's almost zero chance of him playing there next season though.Reckon if Yates stayed then we will defo be top 6 next season. League 1 he looks very comfortable in, and almost score for fun.
Sorry, but I have to disagree. His experience and strength alongside epi would be ideal for league 1.Nelson is garbage. Amazed so many rate him. Get yourselves on YouTube, look at the last 5 or 6 games and the goals we've conceded, and look out for Nelson. He's an utter liability and a woeful defender.
That’s a massive loss and will again leave us in the soup.Rumours we held talks with Spanish striker Gaz Pacho but due to his wage demands the club have gone cold on a deal.
