Throwing Missiles

Hopefully if they have 2 morons it’s going to be at least another 3 year ban, hopefully longer this time.

Phil will be along soon venting his spleen again telling us all how wrong it all is.

Think the police moved to film the Stoke fans trying to get on the pitch after they scored so possibly won’t have filmed anyone throwing stuff from the North unfortunately
no they will have footage on cctv they will be checking through it with the club and reviewing it believe me ive done cctv at football and there are numerous cameras and they would of been on that section

Fuck the Match, there’s Villains to catch!

My view’s a bit Queer, cos I’m facing the Rear

If he throws a Lighter, I’ll capture rhe Blighter

Let the Cops take a break. Just grass up a Mate
Yeah we could start a watch group and be known as the....

Far far too much time on your hands Blood. If it's keeping you out of trouble though you crack on with being creative 😁

Wonder why they couldn’t put a few stewards at the top of the stand scanning the crowd in each section. That would probably stop these mindless idiots throwing stuff and they may have a much better chance of seeing someone do it. At the moment stewards seem to just sit round the pitch perimeter they aren’t going to see these dick heads from there.
Not a bad shout that

Unfortunately I reckon the following will have to happen. North blocks A & B likely be closed and netted off for 2/3 games with season ticket holders sent a letter advising them of a new (currently unoccupied seat) for those games. That’ll harm the atmosphere massively and piss off plenty of innocent people - BUT it will get the message across and the club will be seen to act appropriately by the authorities hopefully avoiding a fine or point deduction. It’ll hopefully snuff out the morons when they see the very unpopular consequences.

Let paying customers watch the game and let the police do their job. If you catch someone in the act have a word if you feel it’s safe to do so but I wouldn’t expect any fan to put themselves in danger by intervening, you never know how people will react. You could tell a steward but they aren’t going to eject and ban people based on one supporter’s word and the majority of people are looking at the pitch so it’s unlikely there’ll be mass witnesses for an incident that happens in a split second.

I think the police would advise people not to get involved and to let them deal with it.

Think you need to have another think if you think Block A and B will be closed 😂

Think the club will do it to avoid a massive fine or point deduction. It’ll be temporary and it’ll be a last resort but it’s already been considered.
We won’t get a points deduction. We stopped a game and didn’t get one. Man United fans did the same, no points deduction.

We won’t close Block A and B. That’s just not going to happen. It’s bizarre to even think it.

We will probably get a fine from the FA and the Club will identify via CCTV then ban the offenders which is the most sensible and rational thing to do.

I sincerely hope you’re right. But we’re not a protesting fans group with moral support now. We’re now a bunch of thuggish degenerates launching missiles at players, officials and opposition fans and that’s going to result in action being taken if it doesn’t stop immediately. Fines will happen. Policing costs increase. And then the next step is being forced to close parts of the ground. Then it’s point deductions. Block A & B aren’t magically protected because they make a great atmosphere. The sooner the fans in block A & B realise that the better because there are people who know who is doing this and know people who are hurting the club and if they don’t speak up or stop it then we can’t really complain when the consequences come.

I don’t think that Block A and B are magically protected, I just don’t think we’ll ever close those Blocks.

“We’re now a bunch of thuggish degenerates launching missiles at players”… is this not over-dramatic?! I reckon there was about 4 or 5 things thrown on Wednesday night, what I could see anyway. So it is a very small minority, who will be and rightly so punished by not attending future games. How am I meant to see who’s throwing stuff? If it comes from behind or whatever? The logic that the people in these blocks should stop it or speak up if they don’t actually see it is madness and the idea we can’t complain at the consequences is even more bizarre.

Here’s a more rational idea. Get stewards or police at back of stands as a bigger deterrent.

Only plastic cups sold for drinks in the kiosks. No bottles or cans.

Identify and punish any offenders.

We’re going way over the top with peoples thoughts for the sake of a very very small minority.

I agree it’s only a small minority but that’s the reputation we’re getting tarred with. I don’t expect other fans to act like a lynch mob or to take matters into their own hands but the fact is these people come with friends and family and that group you’d expect and hope there’s a little common sense and hopefully they can have a word and if that doesn’t work then they need to contact the club directly. If you didn’t see it it’s not your responsibility but to those fans who did see it and who know who it was then it is your responsibility to speak up. If it were happening near me and my dad in the South and I knew who it was then I’d either tell them to stop myself or I’d have a word with the steward.

Have you?
Yes I have. I worked in excess of 30 years in mental health. I asked a disturbed patient to hand in his lighter and instead of calmly handing it over, he chucked it at me. Wasn’t the only time this happened. Over the years, I had plenty of things fly in my direction, including their medications.

Even though it was a working relationship, you should have ended it right there and then, if he threw the lighter and nothing happened, clearly, there is no spark.

But some want a points deduction so they can have a go at “the ‘ooligans” and young people in general…..bring back National Service etc etc

I dont see anywhere in this thread that real fans are being asked to watch the crowd. But if you HAPPEN TO SEE something (ie someone in front/ near you) please report it to help the stewards / police .

Throwing stuff ain't my bag. Especially if it has an adverse effect on our club. However, I'm 44 now, and I've said, shouted, and done loads of stuff in my younger days that I'm not proud of. These lads or lasses just need to learn. Its not my job to police them. I probably would say something but not sure an old duffer like me would have any impact.
Onwards and upwards

Old duffer at 44? 😩😬

This is spot on. There is an element of our fan base who don’t like the North Stand. They have been waiting for something to go wrong after last time. Stupidly some knobs have given them the excuse but to make the point further… when there was a racist comment apparently made in the Coventry game from the West, did people want the stand shutting? Sections closed? Was Jaffa demanding that the fans around were responsible? Or did people just say we need to identify the idiot doing it.

It’s the exact same principle here, but it’s not because some people have never really liked the North and the Mucker involvement etc. which in their mind has brought a “Stone Island wearing, drinking, yobbish culture etc”. The reality is, it’s packed the stand out, flags up and brought a brilliant atmosphere, that’s being let down by a very small minority. They are the problem not the Stand.

Too many hypocrites pushing their own personal agenda.

Have you seen Gareth he looks older than 44 🤣🤣🤣🤣! Sorry Gareth couldn’t resist, well it is Friday 😬

GJJW, I too would not expect Blackpool fans to police other Blackpool fans. That is what the stewards and the Police are for. However, if I saw a fan deliberately throw something towards the pitch I would report it. I do not have to struggle with my conscience for one second in saying that.
Fair play pal
