In the late 80s and Early 90s there were some great opposition strikeforces about - some examples are below ....

Any favourites amongst these ?!

Brian Deane and Tony Agana (sheff Utd)

Steve Bull and Mutch (Wolves)

Tony Philliskirk and David Reeves (Bolton)

There were other top strikers like Luke Beckett and Dave Waller but I can’t recall whom they played alongside !!

Andy Walker and John McGinlay at Bolton were prolific for three or four seasons.

1981/2 - the Chamberlain brothers generally played well against us (Oxlade Chamberlain's dad & uncle) - EDIT for Port Vale
I can remember the midweek (Div 4) home game, which we lost 3-2 after leading; I almost cried in my beer after that match.
IIRC, on that occasion the Chamberlain's just got the 1 between them, but they assisted in the others)

Other partnerships which spring to mind (but not Blackpool's opposition):
Mick Jones & Allan Clarke - Leeds 70's
Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole - Man U (90's/00's)

Preece and Francis at Stockport.

Have I dreamed it or did Imre Varadi play alongside Shaun Goater in a real silk and something not silky at all pair?

Malkin and Muir at Tranny? (remember when we signed him, we all though he would be dead good!)

As above, Bull and Mutch were stuff of legend.

Wright and Bright!
