Train passenger gets offended by train conductor

It’s incredible, they felt alarmed and uncomfortable, god help us if companies continue down this ridiculous route of apologising to these sad people.

Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls, should boycott this train company and leave them with only non binary passengers.
 
What amazes me about this the most is a) That anyone can actually be arsed to listen to the announcement over the tannoy and b) that they could actually make out what the announcer was saying at all.

I suppose in these circumstances though you need to be super alert as you just never know when the next alarming and uncomfortable moment will come along.

The Jay Beecher quip was very funny and certainly made me chuckle. But on the whole I try not to get involved in the so called Culture Wars.

The Sun comment “Confected angry snowflakery” just about sums up both sides imo. It’s also a good way to distract us from the more important stuff.
 
The conductor said "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls"...correct me if im wrong, but doesn't non-binary mean both female and male ? Therefore, he was being inclusive ??? There are always going to be people like this, but what worries me is the train service's grovelling apology...worlds gone mad.

In fairness, “Good Morning to all our passengers travelling on board with us today” is straightforward enough and doesn’t inconvenience anyone really....

I think non binary can mean a number of things, including fluctuating between male and female.

A bit like some of the Big Jessies on here.

Or just Good Morning.........but what if someone wasn’t having a good morning due to their state of mental health??......this Conductor chap is clearly a wrong un and should be in Prison as far as I am concerned

a simple “tickets please“ accompanied by a straight face would be the ONLY acceptable behaviour in such circumstances

I heard that on the same train some young man offered his seat to a pregnant cisgender female and was rightly beaten into unconsciousness 👍
