No choice but to let it ride out. If they tried to use the 25th or incitement charges there would be a very high risk of the US showing that in all the villages there are considerably more than 1 idiot. Not worth the risk.
 
I’d think it’s more of a risk leaving him in power.
Trump is a desperate man who could be going to prison for a very long time. The house of cards is falling down and he will take everyone with him given the chance.

I agree with this.

I have faith in individual Military, Police and Civic leaders who are all inducted under an oath that states, to protect America from enemies both DOMESTIC and foreign, to uphold that pledge and disobey any fanatical order.

Any move to remove Trump before hand would fan the flames over and above leaving him in office without any real power now, for 13 days.

Yes, exactly his only move left now is to cause serious civil unrest, not like yesterday which was bad enough, but a major national fight

I mean something along the lines of Military or National Guard units deserting or going rogue. Unlikely, well you’d think but who knows.

The Secret Service Branch, detailed to him are actually there to protect the presidency, not specifically the president. If things got really out of hand, which I don’t think they will now. But if he started giving out wacko orders I think they’d move in to arrest him.

Well mexy you silly old man, find me a post anywhere where I was a cheer leader for the mentalist and i will except it.
the facts are I have always said Trumpy was a mentalist but that Biden was not really fit for office and he was probably a front for Harris.

Suggestions now on C4 that both the 25th and Impeachment routes can be expedited very quickly. I really hope he gets the boot. Apart from anything else it would halt his run of handing out spurious and undeserved pardons.

Ah right so, despite your previous innuendos, you know perfectly well that defunding the police doesn’t mean disbanding the police. It means reducing the budget and diverting the funds to other social needs (housing, education, job creation) that might actually be more effective at reducing crime.

Reduce by how much? Well the BLM video you kindly posted mentions a figure of 5%. And that’s in the US where, as we well know, the police are very militarised. So not a huge amount and certainly not 100% as some people would like us to believe.

To use a word I don’t like much, we should be looking at “outcomes”. If policing in the US has failed to make the population, especially the black population, any safer then maybe diverting a small part of the funding elsewhere may achieve a better outcome?

Hardly Marxism is it? More common sense I’d have thought.
