Virgin media down

Internet still good but all of the none freeview channels are off. Wonder if I’ll get a bill reduction!? 🤣

Thanks avftt. Source of all knowledge as usual. Was worried when my channels were saying 'not authorised ' and I couldn't get through on 150 phone number. Guess I'll have to be patient until it's sorted.

mother in law is on virgin too and she's had a call to say they've gone home for the day. Can't believe that in a crisis like this they won't be working round the clock to fix it. I think she got a duff info automated phone call.

if you try and log in on line for any update the thrust of their message is that they are making essential updates to make your service even better.
Anyone think that that's a load of bull?

Tried Virgin once and the interface on their boxes was so bloody awful that I left within the 30 day cool off period and went back to Sky!

And I left Sky in my cooling off period. Their internet speeds were up and down like a whore’s draws.

Agree, Sky (BT) broadband is shocking compared to Virgin Media, I very rarely use the TV anymore but having had both Sky/Virgin are on a par TV wise, but VM wins hands down for the broadband.

We've had Internet problems at our house last few days which they have fixed....virgin are now charging £25 from December 1st for call outs!

They not charging for all call outs, equipment failure etc is still covered.

If maintenance or the correction of a fault requires a technician visit to your address, and is the result of the intended treatment and use of our equipment, there will be no charge for this visit. Someone over the age of 18 must be present at the time of the visit that we have agreed with you in advance.

If the need for a technician visit is the result of one or more of the following you will normally be charged a fee for the technician visit and may be responsible for other associated costs:

- A request by you to change the home set up of your services (for example if you would like your equipment moved to a different location)

- Misuse, neglect of, accidental or wilful damage to our equipment;

- Failure to follow responsible instructions regarding our equipment;

- Tampering or disassembling the equipment without our consent or instruction; or

- Fault in, or any other problem (including set up and specification) associated with, your equipment or any system that is not provided by us as part of our services.

Equipment includes, amongst other things, any cable modem, set top box, cables and ducts.
