We’re just little old Blackpool

So many of my football mates who generally support the Prem big boys have said both those calls - the disallowed goal and Fletcher - would have been discussed for another week if they’d happened in the Manchester Derby!

I said this on another post. You can almost see their minds working. If in doubt give the decision in favour of the “big”team as it could have a greater impact on their season whereas little old Blackpool are far less likely to be impacted.
Its not paranoia. It’s beginning to feel like the prem all over again where we were massively adversely affected by bad decisions.
in the case of the disallowed goal he wasn’t sure so made a conscious decision to favour QPR

This kind of thing plays well with neutrals, supporters, and definitely the players. It’s us against the world and we’re going to bloody win!

We'll prove them wrong and change the "little old blackpool" perception though. We did last time, I remember when Holloway left for palace the people on a championship message board I read couldn't understand it because at that time the perception was Palace weren't much bigger of a club than us.

Don't know if "QPR are a bigger club though" was the motivation for the bad decisions, they're probably just shit officials.

That kind of thing might (and did!) happen if we were playing Man United, but QPR to me are that team Eddie from Bottom supported with the quirky little ground.

The officiating was shit tonight but I don’t think QPR got favourable decisions tonight because we’re Blackpool and they’re QPR.

“He might have well have had a Mickey Mouse watch on….” 😂🤩🧡
The referee must have been wearing a really fancy watch if it can pick up players offside?

Berating the officials is a tad harsh, on that particular decision. You’ve all become experts after watching the replay in slow motion.
The solution is quite simple…VAR.

Bollocks that decision was so late I could have gone for a piss & come back before he put the flag up, ridicules. I see normality has set in again down the M55 😂

I thought referees had to do a fitness test? He didn't look like he could sprint 10 yards to the kebab shop.

I'm sure your lot would have taken the decision with the upmost dignity and respect and praised the referee with a big fat Booooooo.

To make the decision that late, you have to be absolutely 100% certain and if not, the goal should stand....It was an abysmal decision and considering the shambolic refereeing from midweek I don't blame Critchley for having a pop..... And by the way, he's not the sort to chip at the officials without due cause.

The watch buzzes when the ball goes over the line. The ref should have seen contact with the ball after the watch was triggered. Pathetic officiating.

I know Lee Charles TV as well as myself rants on about the refs (correctly so) - they actually get so little right IMO !

I can go over the games in detail

Bournemouth - a homer
Bristol City -we played against 12 and he tried very hard to find away of disallowing our equaliser
Millwall - he was their MotM, won all the points for them and wrongly sent off our. h (that’s what I’ll wall fans said)
The list goes on game after game

Perhaps Lee could put together a film montage of all the unjust decisions he has alone this season

That ‘tackle’ on Bowler was a straight red last night - how can they not see that ? How was their keeper allowed to stay on the pitch !! ??

That ‘tackle’ on Gabriel v Stoke was a straight red - why don’t they see that - we end the game with 10 men because they kicked us off the park

I think all we can do as fans is react more loudly to the injustices - collectively
I think we are too nice and patient - the officials have cost us at least 7-10 points this season and we get away with nothing ..

I just think refsat this level are myopic and do not manage matches as impartially as they can - it’s a closed shop and is very frustrating g to watch

Cambers

Well said Critch, these bad decisions add up and could be the difference between going up or not and when we are talking about the Prem its a massive financial change to a club. These officials really need a good scrubbing up and bias needs to be named, shamed and acted on.

Pissed off.

I'm gonna hark back to a sentiment I shared the other day about the development of Critchley's personality.

I would have never thought we'd be seeing Neil Critchley calling out referees live on Sky, whilst absolutely seething. Not only for a decision tonight but all the other decisions that have gone against us and even throwing in a bit of sass with the "we're just little ol' Blackpool, that's why we don't get anything" remarks - its as if he's using being on Sky as the opportunity to highlight how we're being shafted and that takes some bollocks. Not only that but it is the exact sentiment we as fans all share, watching that on Sky it was as if he was our mouthpiece - those words were exactly something you'd hear on the terrace or in the pub after the game from a Blackpool fan.

Sure enough he is laying the foundations of Blackpool legend status.

Who the fuck are QPR anyway? Has something happened to make them some footballing powerhouse that you can’t piss off or they will finish your career in football?
The referee should apologise for last night but he won’t because the truth is he’d do the same again.

Disingenuous, if that goes against PKE you react the same as us.

Yep he used the biggest platform to vent and the build up of wrong decisions got to him. Imagine if he'll be fined for his comments by the tossers efl.

I don’t think they will as they don't want pool fans camped outside thei office again.

He certainly knows how to pick his moments

At the time of the incident, I’d agree. But after watching it back a few times, it’s not unreasonable to understand the decision. VAR would have clearly shown what actually happened.

If he had doubt he shouldn't have disallowed a goal going in where he couldn't see madine touch it. Poor decision all round.

We can all be wise after the event. Why didn’t Madine just leave it alone?

VAR would have shown the error. We don’t always accuse umpires of being incompetent when they have to reverse a decision at cricket.

Having said that, some refereeing decisions seem rather bizarre.

I am excited to see what a pissed off critchley does. He doesn't seem to be a man to sulk he will be plotting. I absolutely love him
Because he rarely moans about referees it should add a lot more weight to his views. I am sure Colin Murray could provide him with a montage to send to referees assessors and the EFL and ask them to explain away how many decisions wrongly go against us.

I watched it in real time, it was ** ridiculous. Fuck off Giro, bellend.
